This is a great cover, but my favorite cover from her is David Bowie's Life on Mars. It's clear that she understands the song and gives it the vibe it deserves, while at the same time making it "her own". It's very good.
Shiny Toy Guns cover of Major Tom is really good too. Not as atmospheric as this, but very melodic and still "angelic"....(that was a great description there by Polo, just sayin.
I found the Triple J radio station on a trip to Australia in ‘95 and as soon as they had a internet stream I was listening and Like A Version quickly became a legendary place for me to discover new artists like Aurora… I feel in love with “Teardrop” in the way back machine and I fall back in love with every iteration I hear
Mastery of the control of her instrument, and she has such range and power. Her singing just hits me and I'm entranced.

Notice that part where all the instruments stop and it's only her voice for about five or six seconds. Absolutely mesmerizing. It's almost impossible to find another vocalist who can capture attention more when it's just her voice all alone. My favorite of hers is Lucky from Nidarosdomen. I also like the rarely reviewed Piano Session version of Temporary High, for purely vocal skill reasons.

'Braveheart' ... Yeah! This is early 2017 and Aurora had just cut her hair for the first time with 'bangs'. Her hair style would still change more through the years. She does make every cover song her own. This has a very moody, jazzy feel that I get from it. Really nice reaction, Polo. Thank you.
