Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?
6, it's good, but you cut out a portion of it
❤❤❤❤❤
It’s kinda weird to ask for judgement on something a whole other team of people made

The sound team did a fantastic job on this scene
So did yo mom
@@Kronos0999 👎
Not just a joke but also a compliment.
Because knowing how much or how little sound to use is a mastery in itself.
For your kind info, the room is sound and temperature sensitive.
I know you're probably but learn this important phrase, Sometimes 'Less is more'
I will always remember this scene from when I was younger. Such an intense and iconic one
"You broke into the most secure building on the planet." - Martian Manhunter
"It's just another building. A few more guards, a few more locks." - Batman
No offense but if batman had to do any of what Ethan Hunt does in the MI movies he would break down crying.
@@nolanschotanus2769 i mean batmans man ability is endurance and is so rich that hed probram through that building and also because hes not with an organisation he does not have any limits to being stealthy or not. so i mean batmancouldve pulled it off easily but i respect your opinion
and ofc it wouldnt be as epic
is this a quote from a movie/show
@@BS-vq9gg It's sometimes erroneously attributed to a fan film called World's Finest that came out in 2004. However, the film borrowed it from the graphic novel JLA Liberty and Justice that came out the previous year. In it, the Justice League, minus Batman, visits the Pentagon at the request of the government. Batman chooses to enter on his own terms and is hiding up in the ceiling monitoring the meeting, much to the surprise of the telepathic Martian Manhunter.
If only Rogue One has a scene with this much tension when they were getting the Death Star plans
for instance, Darth Vader interacting with the main cast (with interact I mean butchering them all to shreds) instead of just cameoing.
Bro forgot the hallway scene in the end
This scene is iconic legendary and cinema history Tom crusie is a legend.
What's "iconic legendary"?
I think u can sort out what he means, boggs
@@fern4real733a failed list, because obviously commas don’t matter
I totally agree Tom cruise is so cool
Me: what’s up Tom?
Tom: ehhh just hanging
Having no cameras in secure facility such as this is exactly the type of oversight one would expect from govermental organization.
someone would nee to be constantly watching them, and it does seem a bit pointless when they literally have made a room that definitely could convince you nobody would be able to break into. also if there were cameras, they would probably find some dumb way of making them malfunction since this is an important plot point
@@jakit0556 Cameras can have motion sensors as well.
This room is supposed to have absolutely zero data leaving it. Cameras are churning out data every second. Cameras are a security hazard in this case.
@@arbiterskiss6692 THat actually makes sense, thank you.'
Still, they could have used movement sensors.
Damn Jean Reno has incredible strength.
and tom cruise's upper body strength to spread himself like that for that long :O lol
@@ralkia My favourite is how the sweat is dripping, but he catches it, or we are to believe based on a really awkward hand shot that doesn't fit. Still really well done overall.
@@ivanlagrossemoule they should have edited that hand shot while he was still being slowly pulled up by Jean Reno. Maybe It would fit better
If the ground can be reflective, how can that guy doesn’t see Tom Cruise
He's got serious stomach issues and probably isn't thinking of anything else.
RTX is off
I mean if you dont know it why would you look straight on the floor...
Because to notice an intruder, you have to be paying attention. He wasn't.
You see what you expect to see.
Man... they dont make em like these anymore... oh wait they do, mission impossible is easily the most stable quality long running franchise
Yep, and they didn't go woke.

Could you believe SOME of the secruity features presented here are already present in our smartphones? Also if only USB sticks were already a thing back then, these guys jobs would be easier. Also another cool thing is that the main hero kept engaging in more and more dangerous heists. This to me is the best Spy series ever
How many are here after seeing DEAD RECKONING 😅
2:38 I bet Lurther wishes he didn't see that.
Poor William. That hot girl poisoned his coffee which causes him extreme nausea and nonstop vomiting. Nausea and vomiting suck. Then they transfer him to Alaska as if he was supposed to know somebody would poison him at work. What a terrible work day. And they basically ruined his life. Poor guy.
Honestly he should have just went to the bathroom then they wouldn't have the login info. He was obviously feeling very ill on the way to the terminal. The groaning and facial expressions made that clear.
MI1 is my favorite. Its a spy movie. You could say the only "action" sequence is the train scene in the end. Which is fine... but the other 90% of the movie is great dialogue and scenes like this.
I hope it goes back to it, one day
Naw, Tom Cruse has said the current one hes filming is his last mission impossible, its going to be a two parter.
There's still a lot of espionage and suspense the later films. But the action in them truly makes them special.
While this one is my favourite, they’ve actually nailed the balance I think.
It’s not like the difference between The Fast and the Furious to Fast X (or MI1 to MI2 for that matter) they’ve simply incorporated more action into the story whilst still retaining the spy elements.
It’s a brilliant series, the only one that isn’t brilliant is MI2, but even it has its moments, such as the twist death involving the mask, what a brilliant move that was!
@@horrorfanandy4647 MI2 is by far the worst in the series.
I remember this one being criticized back in the day, it was sold as a heavy action move and it wasn't one. Like you said, the only action sequence is really on the train (and its awesome).
Within the years, I've seen more and more people actually appreciating what this movie is: An excellent spy movie with an amazing tension scene at the middle and great sequence at the end.
MI2 was garbage and MI3 is pretty good for what it is, but from MI4 onwards (which is when, if I'm not mistaken, Tom Cruise begun having a heavy hand as a producer) the series went to heavy excellent well scripted action sequences to show how Tom Cruise basically became a western Jackie Chan, while still keeping good stories while, as you say, retaining the spy elements. And, IMO, from MI4 onwards the series had a huge spike on its quality, MI4 was better than all the previous one, and each movie afterwards managed to be better than the previous one which is really amazing since MI4 was already damn excellent.
And funny you mention the F&F series. I had just randomly watched F&F 7 on TV before going to the movie theater to watch the new MI, and it hits me how those MI movies work so well because Ethan Hunt is a damn badass who do some amazing, unbelievable stuff but he NEVER stops being human. He slips, he feels pain, he gets dizzy, he gets confused, he's played out... while Toretto became a super human with super powers.
MI2, Fallout, DR1 are definitely too much action. But Ghost Protocol and Rogue Nation are definitely very very spy movies too, the latter even in a more traditional way.
Dont be blinded by nostalgia man, Vienna Opera is 10 times this scene.
It would be poetic if the analyst ended up being the main antagonist in the new MI film.
"You thought you had seen the last of me, didn't you Mr. Hunt? I had diarrhea for two weeks after our last meeting, I haven't forgotten it."
he's listed in part 2! (just checked the guys IMDB)
@@theaether3124And it’s confirmed on IMDB as the same character! Not the same actor returning to a new role. (Former?) CIA Analyst William Donloe in both movies!
For all you fans of the Broken Sword videogame series, the guy with the stomach issues is Rolf Saxon, the voice of lead character George Stobbart!
OMG YOU'RE RIGHT
Omg
Wow didn't know that. Does he do the voice in later games too?

Best scene of the movie
mission impossible 1 is the best of all the franchise
Mission Impossible in America, Baazigar in India !!
damn seeing tom cruise now, he aged so much
For 61 years old guy he looks great ;)
That what happens when you constantly taking care of your body you don't even look your age which is crazy for tom cruise cuz he still looks more 40 than 60
I dont get people saying he doesnt age. He certainly looks good for a 60 years old and on body level he's still a beast for sure, but on face level he aged badly. My dad is two years younger than him and looks younger.
Still the best mission impossible movie in my opinion at least I mean Brian De Palma one of the greats
What if the glasses fell off?😂
This scene is cool and all, but how the heck the dude didn't see Ethan hanging above him in that super reflective shiny floor? Like, he was even looking down when he walked in.
Also, How did that guy pull Tom up so quickly when he was struggling to hold him a few moments prior?
He pulls him all the way up at the end within like one second.
I think the floor is so reflective only when you get very close to hit. It wont obviously reflect a person hanging three metres above. If you watch it from ethan point of view it's clear ethan cant be seen (and alla aside he is dressed in black, pretty mimetic).
Not saying this scene isnt absurd, just not for this reason.

6:07 aw come on, Léon. Aren’t you a professional lol
5:16 I always wondered how he was able bend his elbow and turn his palm up when he was that close to the ground. He Joints must be able to bed in some odd ways.
All that fancy security no match for a good ole fashioned CCTV camera.
This video relives the feeling of passing a cop after smoking marijuana.
Does anyone know who makes that knife that drops and sticks in the table?
He had to have weights in his shoes so he wasn’t top heavy when horizontally hanging
Apparently they filled his shoes with a bunch of pocket change because he kept hitting his head against the floor
I m in landscape mode and at the starting just trying to correct my phone's position thinking why is it showing as inverted. ?
I absolutely love this scene, so it's not me bashing, but as a kid I always wondered why for a place so secure they left vents people could fit through and had no cameras.
We see the dead rat, but we don't know how it died.
1:58 yeah, right, like he didn't see in reflection on the floor that something is in the air when he has entered the room :)))
Bellissimo
you should've put a cctv camera in there
Which part is this
What does 'toast' mean in that scene? :)
All that room with fancy security mechanics but no cameras?
This is actually more TOPKAPI

The scene was inspired by Topkapi.

3:25 isnt it a scene from "die hard"?
O piso é de vidro?😮
So, all this high tech security stuff, but no simple camera or motion detector?
hah
i knew guardian tales were referencing this
When you think about it, in a way it would have been easier to knock off the dude. When he was in the room, all the alarms were off so him coming back could have been an asset. But then again, this would have made this scene so much less intense ha ha
BS his hand can bend to catch to sweat being only 3 inches from the ground.
In Mission Impossible everything is possible 😮

Great scene, but so many plot holes

Box office Movie Scenes has made the art of ass kissing into a science.
how does he not see him in the reflection of the mirrored floor?
Why couldn't he incapacitate him when he is in the room, steal the data and escape through the roof 🤔
Would probably leave too much evidence. They would want to get in and out without them initially realising they had been hit.
@@napsbrickrailways2290 Yep. The emergency responder getaway probably wasn’t Plan A.
Meh. Ideally the coffee would keep him sick in the bathroom for the entire time they're there. Or even better if he throws up in the outer room or hallway which would gain more time since he'd have to clean that up. Then when it's over and he's feeling better, they already left with the list. Or if this Donloe guy were like most people, he'd go home early for the day.
The floor was pressurized to a weight limit, the temperature alarm would go off with two people so close to each other.
His face in the thumbnail looked like Filthy Frank.

When I was a kid I always thought the rat just fell asleep next to him. Which is why he looked so strained holding him. Was I the only one?
How did he kill the rat ?
My question as a kid was how did he get the drip, he was too close from the ground to bend his arm

Thee actor kept hiting his head on this scene so he used coins on his shoe to balance the weight distribution
Why did he wears the specs. Since he needs to go down by head .. doesn’t make any sense
So many flaws in this scene now that you watched it again
You'd have to be really stupid to not notice the reflection on the ground
Haha. People keep mentioning that. The analyst was already pretty ill by the time he entered the vault. You could tell by his demeanor that he was. Anyone could miss a detail like that when they feel like that.
What is stupid is how he didn't seem to mind how uncomfortably close that girl sat next to him in the cafeteria. Also, he didn't notice or hear something being squirted into his coffee which was in his peripheral vision. Then she touched his shoulder and he barely noticed that. He seems clueless if not stupid. It all could have been prevented if he had a cap on his coffee cup.
