Namaskar sir. I follow OSHA, FAA And ANSI standards. I give priority first to an OSHA at workplace. Your video delivered absolute information which i required. I am thankful to those professionals who collect and create the valuable information and videos which reuired for Aviation Ground Safety.
the marshaling hand signals are incorrect to IATA standards. There is no such "pumping" motion to indicate "come forward." Additionally, when issuing the stop signal, the wands are to be in front of the marshaller so he/she can see what the pilots see.
+Carlton Moser Great:) I am not the only one who recognized this weird stuff;) It's also not according to ICAO. There are safety and intepretation reasons why they are not apropriate. Pumping cannot be clearly interpreted in the dark, because in the dark you have a very bad depth perception. So you cannot or hardly recognize sticks moving towards marshaller. Especially when they are shining. This is also reason why most of the standard signals uses only two axis side movements and no third axis movement in depth. All signals are chosen by IATA/ICAO in order to be clearly interpreted even in bad light conditions or in the dark. Those people are not stupid. They consider human factors, human visibility perception and imperfection and also unambiquity of signal interpretation with bunch of psychologists. They check it in reality with some statistics until they create specifications.
Yep. I worked line service for about 25 years. All of your signals should be made on a flat plain which can be easily distinguished. Pumping your arms forward and backward isn't as easy to understand.
his "straight ahead" should be done like he is doing his "turning" not the pumping motion. and the final spotting of the aircraft, dont forget to show an "on the mark" by touching your wands parallel before crossing for an X. you should salute with the wand and point with the wand as to which engine to start. no need to take the wand out of your hand to use your hand.
I spent 10 years in the Nav doing this stuff, Crash Fire and learned to fuel aircraft too. On Carriers and Shore Stations and was never able to get a decent job as a Ramp person in civilian life. With countless apps to United US Air and Ect. Ect. So now years later I'm a successful Office Clerk. So for my fellow shipmates that might be getting out by now....how does one get this job????? Or like everything else now days when it comes to jobs...I guess it's just LUCK!
THIS WILL ONLY BE USED WHEN THE ATC IS DOWN OR CAT III TEAM UPON TAXING IN? TAXING OUT WILL NOT BE USED BECAUSE ATC WILL SAY WAIT EVEN IF LEAVING A HANGAR?
CAT III IS INTERNATIONAL DEPARTURES TO THE OVERSEAS HUB? AFTER TAXING FROM THE HANGAR OR WORKBAY BY THE WANDS THEY WILL DECIDE TO PUT ON THE PUSHBACK MACHINE AND IF NOT THE TAXI?
NOW THE REASON ATC OR THE CAT III FACILITY GROUNDCREW TELLS YOU WHERE TO TAXI TO AND THEN YOU GET THE WAND PERSON IS BECAUSE THE ATC IS TRYING TO FIND THE FLIGHT LOG?

Manatee Max I have an interview for Line tech any tips ?
@@deangonzalez1787 Have you worked as a PLST before?
I've seen both the pumping and the waving motion.
Is that guy marshaling, or rowing a boat? Remind me to call in sick when he’s working!
Video bello e interessante, grazie 👏👏

Excellent video! Congratulations for the effort
I practiced these signals with Wotagei Sticks

ON DEPARTURE YOU CAN TYPE TAXI TO MOVE WATCHING THE WAND PERSON?
H
SEE AFTER YOU TYPE TAXI TO ON THE POC THEN YOU WOULD MAKE THE CORRECTIONS ACCORDING TO THE GROUNDMAN WITH THE WANDS TO THE TAXI LANE?
THE CAT III WILL LISTEN TO THE GROUNDCREW AFTER TAXING IN?
CAT III IS INTERNATIONAL DEPARTURES TO THE OVERSEAS HUB? AFTER TAXING FROM THE HANGAR OR WORKBAY BY THE WANDS THEY WILL DECIDE TO PUT ON THE PUSHBACK MACHINE AND IF NOT THE TAXI?

YOU WOULD NEVER START THE ENGINES IN A HANGAR OR SIMILAR?
