- A slab of electronic surge of the great 242, Codenijs had won the belgian lottery in 84 and decided to invest it in the then relatively 'affordable' emulator 2 (still 15.000 euro in 84 money but better than the 30.000 and 55.000 for a ppg waveterm or fairlight) wich quickly resulted in a mini lp containing this commando remix (sort of their live anthem at the time) , i recall being at a front gig around 86 when suddenly the stage collapsed and the emu II plummeted to its destruction , must have been a substantial bill to get that working again :)

Bart Nelis Hi, actually Ray Cokes was presenter of Rox Box on RTBF until 1987. He speaks French. I’m kinda sure it was on RTBF but not 100%. I even remember setting my cassette recorder and looking for the RTBF channel, but that may be a reverse projection haha. Yeah, he was a Front fan indeed.

anyways, after seeing it partly .. i had to find out more about this group 'front 242' ... so i told a friend to rent something front 242 in the "discotheque / lbrary" . he returned with "official version" (vinyl of course, back in that day) and we were wondering why they had all these numbers behind the song titles ... it took some time before we figured it was the duration of the track. XD (it couldn t be the bpm, too high)
