Lovely! Your hair pattern appears to be 3a/3b, but since you pull your hair straight + break apart clumps while styling your curls appear a little more elongated. Someone who has 2c/3a pattern would be someone like RockynCurls on CZcams
Thanks for your comment! I've always found classifying curl patterns to be very confusing lol so I just assumed that I had a 2c/3a mixture because I have very loose curls in my hair, but I think you're right I'm more 3a/b. thanks so much for your help. xoxo

Your curls do look 3b3c, but they say when your hair is really long it pulls the curl down making it look looser than it is, but your hair is beautiful it looks like mine before my big chop

you could use a satin hair cap i think. it works for me

I use tights 😂, works in a similar way if you can’t find a silk cap🤷🏼♀️
You have my hair I have 3a at the back and 3b at the front and middle though.Although I have been natural for over three years I couldn't do all those products it's easier to just put my hair into plaits and work from there I use nothing on my hair at all.I find it stays pretty moisturizer on its own.

Wow good job 👍🏾. And not a dryer/diffuser in sight!!! I'm trying to decide if I should buy a blow dryer and diffuser combo for my 3b 3c curly hair. I have been air-drying all my life but I want crown volume 😭.
Thank you!! Honestly I would recommend it. It comes in handy especially in the winter when you don’t want to wait for wet hair to air dry. And it’s great for volume as well

Great Video! However if i do all this, my hair will definitly frizz badly :( I have no idea how all these curly girls constantly handle and comb the hair after rinsing, after rinsing i cant touch my hair at all till it dries or else it will frizz so baldy and curls will be undefined and whispy :'(
After rinsing is the only time I can handle my hair because the products I use make it more manageable to detangle. Also I've found that it's best to apply products to wet hair because it holds the style better. I would recommend that you use a moisturizing conditioner and deep condition at least once a week. Also switch up the products you use or incorporate oils into your routine. I think you'll see a difference 😊
thanks so much ! I use Cantu argan oil leave in conditioner after rinsing, but i still have to be so careful not to run my fingers through my hair or its gameover. I pretty much follow all the rules of curly hair, it seems that 'Natural' products are bad for my hair so I'm at a loss :( I may have to just cut it all off as my hair doesnt respond to anything (all natural oils, deep conditioners, every product from shea moisture)
+FeathersofDxhlia what curl pattern do you have? And do you have heat damage? I ask because these factors really effect how products work on the hair
thanks so much for taking the time to answer my question! I have 3b/3c, I've cut off all parts of my hair that was heat damaged 3 years ago, thats why I'm really confused about why my hair is permanently dry and frizzy lately, other than using natural products which is really bad on my hair
+FeathersofDxhlia no problem hun! Thank you for your questions 😊 and I would say to research about your hairs porosity because this has a huge impact on how your hair behaves. I recently found out I'm low porosity and that's why certain products wouldn't work for me and leave my hair dry. I would also recommend doing hot oil treatments on your hair and lots of protective hairstyles or twist outs that will mold your hair into a set shape. As far as products go of natural products don't work for you I think you can mix it up with regular products. There's nothing wrong with that. Just experiment and find what products work and what doesn't. It's aloud of trial and error. And definitely look into what your hairs porosity is

+Mandyo1o hey love! So I always do this routine about an hour or so before I go to bed so that my hair can air dry for a bit. When I go to bed I simply lift my hair on top or laying it on my pillow and sleep laying on my back. I do it this way so that my hair is as preserved as possible as it dries overnight. Hope this answered your question 💕💕

i was shocked when you said you go to sleep with your hair wet! my hair could never! can you explain how you do that? do you leave it as it is or do you put it in a hair net or something?
I don't always do this! I usually only sleep with wet hair in the summer time, but 9 times out of 10 I diffuse my hair until it's about 80% dry
We have very similar hair textures! Have you tried Deva One-Condition? I live off of that stuff. Even use it as a leave in during the cold winters or when i get my hair coloured for pre/post treatments!

Thanks sweetie! Have you tried Amazon ? I'm sure you can get the products there. But just try and get a nice leave in conditioner you like and a styling product. It's doesn't have to be the same ones I use 💕💕

I have the original tangle teezer that I bought a few years ago and I really liked it. But idk why I just always go back to wide tooth combs for some reason lol

For the life of my I couldn’t find anyone with my exact hair type on here. A lot of the natural girls on CZcams have 4 hair types so I never know if I should be using those products on my curls or not.
It's all about experimentation and seeing what works for you xo

Do you sleep with your hair wet ? Does that cause you to get acne ? Or do you tie your hair ? I find that when I tie my hair it gets super squished lol
I squezze out the excess water with the micro fiber towel. so my hair isnt dripping and then i usually just go to bed. No pineapple or ties.

I wash my hair about twice a week (every three days or so but sometimes I'll go longer it all depends) and the hair mayonnaise I use about every two weeks. Or whenever I feel like my hair needs a boost 💕
Do you wrap it before bed?
At the time I made this video I didn't wrap my hair at night, but now I wrap my hair in a pineapple with a silk scarf
What do you do to your hair on days that you don't wash it?
I refresh the frizzy areas with my spray bottle.

I want my curls to be like yours 😭 my hair goes to the beginning of my behind and when wet it decides to shrink in the back more then the front and some pieces in the front want to be defined curly and others decide to be a wavy curly all different sizes 😂😂

I usually deep condition for 2-3 hours, but if I am under the dryer I will usually sit there on low heat for 30 minutes to 45

I leave my hair out, but sleep with it on top of a satin pillow case. So I usually do my hair about an hour before I go to bed

Yeah, looks 3a/3b to me. Like she's between those two curl sizes.
It's because her hair is so long, that it stretches the curl out and makes it appear wavier. But i definitely see some 3c curls in there tho.
