I've been wondering why my curls weren't looking how they should and I was using the Shea Moisture's curl enhancing smoothie. My friends swore by it so I felt like I was doing something wrong like using too much, but when I used less my hair was frizzy. I switched to the style milk and started using your smoothing technique. Oh My Gosh! It made such a difference! Thank you so much!

It's actually called the rake and shake method lol! It's when you shake your curls to life basically when they've been manipulated by something like a brush or product that cause it to be straight. Great vid your really gorgeous

I never had any luck when using the Denman brush. I felt like it matted my hair and made it harder to detangle. But I think I'm going to try your technique and use it in smaller sections. I feel like I might actually have better results that way. Great video by the way!

I love your hair!! Thanks for the video. My hair responds pretty well to the Shea Moisture line but I haven't tried pairing it with the Curl and Style Milk yet. I hated the curl enhancing smoothie so I might have to try your method out!!!

I too just recently discovered Shea Moisture Baobab & tea Tree Oils Low Porosity Protein -Free products along with the fact that I have low porosity hair. l love the scent and how it makes my hair feel. I'm a 3C/4A with low to medium density. I have fine hair with a lot of volume and have been a Naturalist for for most of my but would press and flat iron my hair too, not anymore though. Thanks for your videos/tutorials. BTW I love your curls!

This video was so helpful, my hair is low porosity, 3b, coarse and high density. I am in desperate need of a new defining gel I was wondering if you have tried the camomile rose naturals whipped butter gel. I have been using devacurl products, but I am definitely going to switch to shea moisture low porosity products. Just found your channel, I subscribed right away!
I don't have a denman brush at the moment, but I am going to try this with a bristle brush

Hi, loved the video, I just transitioned from using the keratin to my natural hair, I just cut it 3 days ago so it's super short right now,. but once it grows it's gonna look almost like yours. this method you use with your hair is known in Brazil as fitagem, I like it a lot and can't wait to have my hair long enough to do it, you can do it using a brush or your fingers.
