Excellent interview on CNNfn's The Biz conducted by David Haffenreffer discovering Prince's perspective on music and the music business for artists and listeners.
There are many reasons, but 14:50 is a big reason why P, and not the other guy, is the GOAT!! Every show is different! Every show, even in the same city on the same tour, is different! He is an artist, a true musician, so he doesn’t have to have a cookie cutter show!! He can adapt, at the drop of a hat, and give his Fams a customized show based upon the energy in the room - that’s how much he loved us and was in tune with us!! Cookie cutter isn’t special, he gave his best to us...every show, every city! I will never get over this loss, never. 😥💜😥💜 The GOAT. PERIODTTT!! 💜💜O(+>💜💜
Such an unusual man. So innovative and creative. Together making him a musical genius. I have followed his art my entire adult life. I have such deep respect and love for Prince. The fact that he was fine too just puts an asterisk on it.
All along he became and was the master of it all.most individuals couldn't name all the instruments that he not only played. But what you would say like I mentioned before mastered them all.what a musical genius.😎
My week has not been going so good. So I'm listening to prince music and all the interviews I can find. To make me feel better. No I'm not sick in that way just tired being disrespected, feeling like a dog you throw a bone to now and then.I know some us still staying in because this covid-19 virus..you can give your all provide roof over your loved ones head you pay all the bills, gave them a job..yet they give you the finger. You get no respect, no thank you... So right now I'm going to what lift me up.. I thank God for prince.. I'm sure God know I mean no disrespect. I give God the honor and the glory, he also gave us prince, so I'm doing second best thing listening to prince, interviews and some his songs. I totally believe prince is at peace, I muss that smile his wisdom,the genius he was and always will be, respectfully. Great interview love seeing videos of prince like this he was such a good person smart intelligent humble generous funny wonderful role model and a philanthropic helping others in need I so adore him love him so much ❤️😘
A couple things: Prince was working with Sheila, Vanity & Morris long before Paisley Park came about. Paisley Park as a studio didn't physically exist until 9/11/87 (interesting date).
I'm still moved by the world reactions after it was reaffirmed that we had lost him. I am happy and take comfort in the notion of his accension. I started to learn to play keyboard and acoustic guitar in College(24 old and Older). I also sang in the Chorus, 1999(22 Old). Chorus - Music 21, 22, 23, 24) four semesters music credit. Then I volunteered to sing in the Chorus: Age 26 and Older because I worked at the community college. Total Credits: 150, Associates Degree/Liberal Arts.
He said "I never follow the trends ". But, when rap music and Hiphop culture invaded the music industry. He was caught off guard. He even started to rap in his music. He didn't understand the music. Although that Prince was Black American That doesn't mean that he understood the Hiphop culture brewing in NewYork and then Los Angeles in the 80s blending into the 90s When he heard "It Takes A Nation of Millions " by Chuck D and his group Public Enemy. It blew him away. Wendy his Band member of The Revolution played it for him. I even heard he asked his manager should he start rapping. So even Prince was thrown off. Even Michael Jackson. Madonna wasn't thrown off because she was living in NewYork at the time of the Hip Hop comeuppance.
THEY MUST MUST MUST FOND A PERSON WHO WILL EMBODY THIS MAN HIS ATTITUDE, LOOKS , PERSONALITY, CHARISMA, MIND SET ETC . SO WITH THAT BEING SAIDDDDD NOTHING NO ONE CAN COMPARE TO PRINCE A GOD GIFTED MAN 🙏

What Prince did was take the musical styles of James Brown, Sly and the Family Stone mixed in with a little Hendrix and created his own style.
