- The Kudremukh Peak is the third highest peak of the Karnataka state of India. It lies in the Kudremukh National Park which is known worldwide for its rich biodiversity and mineral wealth.
A weekend trek in the Kudremukh forest is one of the best places to hike through during monsoons near Bangalore.
The trek is considered to be of easy level and the experience will leave you spellbound.

The place is called Kudremukha, not Kudremukh. In Kannada, 'Kudremukha' means 'Horse face'.

Where we to pay the amount ? At what time we should reach there to get our tickets ? Is there any restriction on number of people per day ? Please answer as we are planing to leave tonight
I think there is a cap of 500 people per day. It is better if you go on weekdays. The cap was not there when I had gone. It is better to have a buffer day with you so that you could get the ticket. Just go to the village, you will see the checkpost on the way from where you could get a ticket.

Camping is NOT allowed in Kudremukh. You will have to come back the very same day.

which place to go to hire guide ? How many km we have to trek ? What time we have 2 start the trek?
You can get the guide in the base village. It is easy to find a guide since taking a guide with you is mandatory.
You will have to trek 10 Km one way.
Camping is not allowed. So you will have to come back.
Start the trek early morning. You can start it by 07:30 am I guess.

That depends when you start and how swiftly you walk. Because, no one is allowed to camp on the trail, and every person should come back in one day.

Start before 08:00 am and turn back at 02:00 pm wherever you reach. Carry packed lunch with you (the villagers will give you packed lunch)

Accommodation you'll get in the base village.
Only 50 people are allowed per day to do the trek. So I would suggest you to go on weekdays since on weekends it will be impossible to reserve a slot for you. No advance booking is there and the queue is very very long. So please plan it on a weekday. On trail camping is NOT allowed
Guide is compulsory. Fee Rs 530

June will be less green I guess. I did it in August. There will be an overnight bus to from Majestic and then another small bus ride will take you to Mullodi which is the base village.

You can find them there. But now there is a limit (50 people per day) on the number of people allowed to do the trek. So plan and go on weekdays instead of weekend.

Had been to this trek on 30th June 2023,
There’s jeep admin who take cares of jeep charges, Soon he see North Indian’s he will charge seamlessly and if u question about charges diff he will abuse with vulgarity, threaten us with the support of local people, try damaging our vehicle, with the gods grace we come out from there safe, very worst experience,
Trek guides will focus on completing the trek ASAP with reason of soon darkness.. will not let u to spend atlest a bare min minutes on where v feel good on beautiful location,
