This does a better job of selling the set than anything I’ve seen so far.

Now if only they could have made it work like the real thing. I have yet to see a video or photo that shows it in this configuration. Everything I've seen shows it with the bucket facing the operator.

It's 100% same machine. There is also a model with the shovel facing at the operator but that's not the case. Real mining excavators look 100% like the lego model

I have just purchased the set and the aftermarket light my bricks set. I know that here in AU we have a lot of open cut mining and several of the 9800 units have been purchased and are operating. The pics of these machines all have the bucket toward the operator. That is opposite to the Lego kit. Perhaps they can be configured either way in real life? Anyway, a massive machine, looking forward to my build and light installation. Cheers.

Do any of the yellow 15100 serve a purpose? If they are only for decoration I will ignore them.

I haven't mentioned price in video because price drop will come soon. In Europe there is a shop with price cut to 360 Eur (retail was 449 Euro). Just wait for it, I really like the set and I'm not saying this because I have to :D

Rote und blaue Pins sind ja so hässlich. Ebenso wie die gelben Achsen, orangene Stopper usw.
Schwarze und graue pins hätten gereicht. Keine bunten Zahnräder sondern alles gedeckt in einer Farbe.
    Was meinst du dazu @helddersteine?
