  • @MattSmith-ks2lc
    @MattSmith-ks2lc Před 2 lety +4

    The Liebherr is my favourite but I don't own all those sets - I don't have the tatra or dozer. There is one thing I don't like about Control+ - Power Functions had the same issue. I don't like how each set contains a hub and motors. After buying four sets, I have more hubs and motors than I would ever need. I would prefer to have the option to buy the model without the hub and possibly the large and XL motors since they are used in almost all sets. It would be better if the hub was sold with a large and XL motor - it would make the sets cheaper and it would reduce wastage. That way someone getting into the hobby would need to buy the model and the hub and motor set. Whereas, those with many sets would just buy the model and use the hub and large motors from their collections.

    @Gizmos_and_stuff Před 2 lety +1

    i actually quite like the look of the off road buggy and if i buy it my next choice would be to save up for the zetros because i quite like it's look and hill climbing performance. I like the extreme offroad 4x4 aswell but i think it will be retired before i can afford it, i am still very much a beginner at building my own rc vehichles so maybe i can look at some of these for guidance, and also use parts from my land rover which i dissasembled due to crackling, after having rebuilt and fixed the problem, just to have it come back a few weeks later sadly, i also have parts from the bucket wheel excavator, rally car, mobile tracked crane, a little fire truck, an airport fire truck, a pneumatif tree chopper (all of the models juts listed have been mostly or completely dissassembled for part use) so i have a good selection of technic parts to use, plus i have some pf elements: 2 XL motors, 3 AA battery boxes, 2 AAA battery boxes, 4 sets of lights (i think) 3 L motors, 1 M motor, 2 joystick remotes and 1 train one, plus 3 (or 4) IR recievers. I'd say at the moments i'm set to start building some cars though my parts are scattered troughout my lego room and i lack expertise. Awesome video and keep up the great work (btw i am not trying to brag about my parts i just felt like saying it)

    Dear Balazs, Thanks for your videos. I really like them.
    I love the technic sets but I haven't bought any of the motorized versions because I'm a bit afraid of them. Did they work (push, pull and control by hand) when the motors are off? Will they roll if my little son will push them by hand when they are in off mode or can we drive the volvo 6x6 to the right direction by hand when the motor is off? By the way, is the volvo 6x6 has a fake engine or the parts are moving? Thanks.

    • @RacingBrick
      @RacingBrick  Před rokem +1

      I don't suggest to push the motorized sets, especially the ones with a gearbox like the 6x6 Volvo. Technically you can push the smaller cars but they have a higher resistance due to the drive train, so they probably aren't good for playing for a kid. Additionally there's no way to control steering manually.

      @officemk8641 Před rokem

      @@RacingBrick So like the volvo 6x6 works with the smart phone only. But unfortunately we won't know will the app work 20 years later like the older technich motorized sets which works today :p

    • @RacingBrick
      @RacingBrick  Před rokem +2

      @@officemk8641 I don't think that should be the main concern today. You didn't know in 1986 that you will be able to play with Commodore 64 games on a portable color screen device in 2022, a.k.a. your smartphone. The protocol is open source, 3rd party control options are available today and I'm sure there'll be a way to control them 20 years from today.

    What a horror show: as a lover of (older) Lego Technic sets, I just could not bring myself to buy any one of these. The are all wrong for the same (Control+) and many different reasons and all way too expensive. Luckily, there are other brands who provide really cool, fun and demanding to build technic sets at reasonable prices. And by the way: five of the seven sets presented here are licensed, which with Lego means you get some stickers that will die a horrible death pretty soon. No prints, no challenge, no B models, no analogue remote control, no rechargeable batteries, no control of the motors and control you own (actually you do not own them), no compatibility, but horrendous prices and ugly blue, red yellow (chose your color) pins, axles and connectors? Lego is dead to me.
