There are a few "Colts" CZcams channel idiots who paned the selection as a big mistake, Kent Sterling in particular. I find it ironic that this broadcaster can say what he does at the end of this video and yet these armchair gms like Sterling have the audacity to shit all over one man's dream (Latu) and the collective wisdom of an entire NFL organization (The Colts). It's embarrassing really. I unsubscribed to his channel last night. Shame on him. The guy has no class whatsoever.
@@AnthonyGiallourakis 100% agree! I've only watched some of Kent's videos. He's a decent sports guy if he just reports on the news, but he doesn't know a damn thing if he tries to go into any detail.
@@dwl815380 He really doesn't.. he always seems to see everything from such a weird negative type of way I find. I can't stand him to be honest. For someone so close to football and the team he really sucks at it!
Ballard and Steichen had their pick at the entire defensive prospect field at #15 none the less!!!! Unheard of. If they think Latu is the best of them all then I trust their judgement. Even if they are wrong, they are right in what they saw and of his potential.
I can't wait to see Kwity Paye on one end and Laiatu Latu on the other both wreaking havoc!!! Mix in Ebukam, Tyquan Lewis, Dayo, then our interior with Buck n Grove.. Holy $hit!!! I like our depth inside too I think Adebawore is going to be a beast and I can't wait to see what Raekwon does with us! Taven Bryan played well too, former first rounder, hopefully hes even better! Our defensive front is SCARY

@@M98747 Yeah. Grove can get to the QB when it's an absolute must have, but he's 100% there to stop the run.
Ebukam is the one Latu will open things up for.
People are over looking the Colts again . Our defense just got an upgrade !!!!! Defense wins ballgames ! If you can stop the other team from scoring that’s a plus !
I watched a lot of UCLA football last year because of Carson Steele transferring there from Ball State. Latu was unblockable at times and his closing speed in the backfield is insane
Reminds me of when Mathis and Free we're dominating back in the day, except he's just as quick with his inside step as he is on the outside. This dude will be scary if his health remains as stable and as he gets more refined. Looks to have a JJ Watt/Max Crosby kind of motor too! DAWG
@@dwl815380 that’s why I really like this pick. When people think of the Colts they think of Manning, Harrison, Edgerrin James, Reggie Wayne. Dallas Clark. But Freeny and Mathis were game wreckers
@@jmullis78ify They think of those guys offensively but defensively its always Freeney and Mathis. They were by far the best defenders we had during those times. Ofcourse Bob Sanders deserves n gets some respect too. Gary Brackett so underrated. Antoine Bethea was really good at times too and is quite underrated I think.

The speed and power is something you can’t teach. He’s quick. There is a reason he had so many pressures. Good pressure makes better secondaries. A lot more turnovers to come for the Colts next year😎

@@marvinhunt8276yeah he is Definetly not slow, no clue what they are talking about. But he is 100% going to have to tackle better. He will not bring down NFL players with his tackle techniques. His pass rushing technique and quickness is insane though
@@zacharyhawkins5562 As long as he can disrupt the QB the Colts will get his tackling technique better and probably bulk him up a little. You just don't teach speed. It looks like he has strength. He could be another JJ Watt. Disruptive ends cause bad and tipped throws to be intercepted. He will fit in nicely with Buckner.

This is an F. I don't care how great he was in college he had back injuries and retired NFL lot tougher than college level. I doubt he will last long, probably a year to be nice .
It was a neck injury and he instantly played rugby after getting medically retired and then dominated 2 years with no issue
