favorite song since my college days...great memories i remember when PBBM sing during the 63rd birthday of his lovely wife First Lady Atty Louis Liza Araneta - Marcos❤❤❤
Dave Grohl brought me here! He said in a couple interviews (one being WTF) how he is totally blown away by this song. It totally has that Heartache Tonight vibe...and singing backup are Freddie Mercury (I still miss you SO much!), Timothy B Schmidt, and JD Souther....coincidence on those last two lol? I loved Andrew Gold songs as a kid...I don't recall this one, though. So, thanks, Dave! There goes my hero.
Remember hearing ths song in a dream, but i could never make out the lyrics after i woke up. so ive been suffering for a month now trying to remember wht song it was! Glad my neighbor played ths on karaoke yesterday and now ive found it! Really. I should get a life.--pol
Totally! I'm not letting the next chick go, there is one at my work who gives me butterflies wen i just see her, giving me signal's. If I find out she's taken I'll be wounded
Katherine G. You sing this Lovely Song back too Your Dad.I bet he Will Hear You. I still sing Favourite Songs to My Late Father. Bless Their Memories. Sorry for your loss. Colyn.
Im only 32 but I think this is a really beautiful song. Great simple lyrics with a catchy tune. I remember hearing this when I was little once and liked it then. And then when I worked for a window fitting company between the age of 16-18 my work mate who was in his 50's used to always have classic gold on his little portable radio, and they used to play this everyday, and we used to sing a long while fitting new windows 🤣
In 2018 I was on the way back from Cornwall, casually messing around with the radio controls and this was playing on one of the stations that I stumbled onto... I had to turn the volume up. Loved it ever since.
Never Let Her Slip Away" is a song written by American musician Andrew Gold, who recorded it for his third album, All This and Heaven Too (1978). The single peaked at #5 on the UK Singles Chart, spending 7 weeks in the chart's top 10, and also peaked at #67 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1978. Queen frontman Freddie Mercury contributed harmony vocals to the song, as an uncredited background singer.

Great song, incredibly catchy. This song is from his album "All This & Heaven Too", which is a terrific album, one great song & performance after another. AG was a very talented guy, died way too soon.
Brought here by David Grohl's recommendation during his WTF interview with Maron. I had never heard the song, but it's great. The beginning and very end remind me of the Eagle's "Heartache Tonight." I looked up both songs on Wiki to see which came first. This one was released in '78 and HT in '79. Curious thing I read is that HT was co-written by J. D. Souther, and he is listed, along with Timothy B. Schmit, as singing background vocals on this song, which was released a year before HT.
This track is so good, especially the percussion. Also, the majority of the copies of it seemed to be released with a large centre hole for some reason, so as the track got towards the end it would waver slightly. This also seems good to hear.
I don;t exactly remeber what year this song came out on the radio..but I remember goin through this transformation to a new school..it always made me feel happy..no worries ..everything is gonna be just ok...new school..with girls.hahaha ..just the first ..very light shimmering of a moustache under my nose..hahaha yeah..that year!!.
Just come across this song, I loved it then and I love it now, wouldn't it be nice someone writing a song like this for us ladies, just love the words ❤️❤️❤️❤️dreams eh ladies 🤗

1975. Andrew Gold died in 2011 aged 59. Forgot this song, but I still love it, however I wonder how you can love a person to death after knowing her a week.
Would you believe Queen frontman Freddie Mercury contributed harmony vocals to the song, as an uncredited background singer along with Eagle's bassist Timothy B. Schmit and songwriter J. D. Souther? ;)
❤️ just in the nick of time. It's Friday night and I'm studying, made my first dinner in my kitchen and ended up burning it, and just found out my neighbor friend is dating somebody. I miss you!
Cute little story! Hi people! I'm Juliet and my "Romeo" is called Nick and I really wanted to sing this to him to say I love him. So, I did and we've now been together for a few months and if Nick sees this your the best honey and I'll never slip away from you. Thanks for reading bye ❤✌

This song is melodic, simple, catchy and timeless. I can't hear it without being taken way back to happier times.
