I just bought a 63 from Texas and having it shipped out to me in in San Diego and it's 4×4 it has a 1971 bronco drivetrain and looks like it's factory-made can't wait till it gets here, there will be a new sheriff in town
1st gear ⛮ is toward you and down from middle neutral position. Up to neutral then outward and up is 2nd, then straight down is 3rd. Toward you and up is reverse from neutral. Likely engine is a 144 or 170. Those have 3 freeze put plugs, the 200 has 5.
Love seeing you guys put work in these projects. Keep it up buddy!
I have a 63 1/2 type in 1963 1/2 ranchero, it's the red one with the magnum 500
wheels on it, i think you'll like it have fun with yours, they are pretty rare now
so many of them were worked to death.
I love the transitions and end cut. Looks professional
cool stuff. next do a chevy
Hilarious, great job guys. That rubber diaphragm on the master cylinder collapses so you can fill it up. It will go down as you leak fluid.
Buen día saludos de México .para conseguir partes de este tipo de ranchero
You made your first mistake at 6:55 , you don't turn an old motor over AT ALL (not even by hand) until you pull the distributor and use an adapter and a drill and run up the oil pump to PRE-OIL the motor for at least 2 minutes... otherwise you are spinning the crank and camshaft over on completely dry bearings... and you will wipe the bearings doing it because it will take time for the oil pump to pressurize the system enough to lube the bearings.
I had the same make model year and color. Mine was in mint condition in 1988 - 1991 when I had it though. It had sat for a VERY long time because original owner was wealthy and didn't care, it had gone through maybe two other people that could not get a title for it. I put in for a title and the state of California issued me plates and registration at least...said title would be on it's way. Then I drove that car. San diego to San Francisco to San Diego to Las Vegas via Barstow way, Up through Mono Lake / Lee Vining, Donner Pass, Reno Sparks area, Carson City, Tahoe, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Yuma, Mexico for just over a week, Bullhead City, Laughlin, Taos, Albuquerque, Denver, Keystone, El Paso, New Orleans, Orlando then up through the mountains from Georgia to West Virginia to Milwaukee where I traded it for a stolen '79 Thunderbird with a 390. No title STILL. Police took the Thunderbird. Every single nut bolt and screw on that Falcon Ranchero and it'S C4F and straight 6 144 had been through my hands. Every bearing and gasket and gear. Axle seals. Gas tank mounts. drive shaft balancing, magneto brush changes. New brake system - lines and all. New fuel line. New shocks, softened the spring stack at Babcock Spring in Milwaukee. Got the bumpers and mirrors and trim and wipers re-chromed. Rebuilt motor completely. Kept original paint: Sky blue with white under it worn through and showing. I buffed it with rubbing compound to get oxidization out, waxed it every two weeks. Replaced window and door seals. Repaired bench seat coil spring. Joined FOG. The only problem I ever had with it was one exhaust manifold stud was seized and broken off, required pulling motor out entirely for a machine shop (I broke the stud while tightening manifold during break in period after engine rebuild). I loved that car. I miss it really bad. SO reliable even though everything on it died on me one after another the whole time. I took extremely good care of that car and it let me know that it was thankful. My tools and jack and jackstands and wheel chocks and greases and fluids and rags and gojo were in a little truck bed tool box it had. We went EVERYWHERE and ANYWHERE, that car and I.
I forgot to mention it has a 351 Windsor with a 3-speed floor shift
keep it up
Oh young schoolers you're about to learn three on the tree. First-gear pull up towards the roof and down towards your belly, 2nd gear push away from you let the shipper slide downward and wait for you towards the windshield, 3rd gear slide the shifter towards your belly again keeping your shifter download at the same level as second gear. Reverse pull up and away from you towards the windshield it's a H pattern. Easy peasy you'll get it. Reverse up and away, first-year up and towards your belly, second down and away, third Downey towards your belly.
Y'all needed an old mechanic to help. I have a 62 Ranchero. Next time, add water check freeze plugs first behind the exhaust manifold, if it holds water then put mystery marvel oil in the oil and in the carb, let it sit overnight before cranking it. So when ya going to LS swap it?
always a fun time with the boys we gotta film more lmao
Man that was fun grate video I cleaned more of the car today going to be working on it soon so you can mooch more content off my ride😂 much love ❤️
Try AutoKrafter's or Mac's Antique Parts for new floor pans :-)
You guys have any pics of the engine and wiring diagram
lets fucking go
Do more videos with the 63
what is the total length of the ranchero?
I shut down watching when the "F" word started popping up !!
Y'all are almost clueless but hey at least your trying to do it and not sitting around the house playing video games.
I got a 1962 ford falcon but I play video games and watch anime because I don’t know how to fix it
Are you guys in San Diego? I have a 63 chero daily driver would be perfect for you to marry the two into one! I'll let it go cheep. I am I'll with cancer and can't use mine any more but you could I'll keep looking the comments and maybe we could hook up? It would save you parts searching
