The starting idea of an actual training system where you put your points when leveling up to increase your stats permanently on your current class is a lot better than "heheh I can be two classes at once now"
Hey lor I completely agree I think there focusing there man power on the wrong things they should be focusing on balancing the characters they have finishing ice caves and adding new armour/gear aswell as the inventory rehaul they co announced
agreed, I feel the devs might feel forced to put out big content to withhold the player base. I, Like many people want the game to succeed but sadly I think they are adding things like this to hold the player base in and it might end up coming back and biting them. ( Hope not though )
Bring back ruins or make duo for crypts

It's highly likely that multiclassing will destroy any little balance that exists. Especially if IM decides to implement it without giving your character debuffs from multiclassing. It will 100% make the new player experience absolutely garbage, since there is already a bit of a learning curve. This is the easy way out for adding content to the game. I really hoped the whole talent skill tree was going to be something fun and extra. Examples:
-Use consumables slightly faster and/or they heal a bit more.
-Mine ores slightly faster and/or have a 10-20% chance of getting double ore when mining.
-Allow all classes to pick any weapon mastery, but only allow a single one to be used at a time.
-Some class specific perks like +2 magic heal for cleric/warlock, +1 poison damage for rogue, allow rangers rations to replenish slowly while sitting at a campfire, fighters weapon mastery debuff only -5%, wizard recovers spells 5% faster while sitting down.
I understand that implementing and planning a proper talent skill tree would take way more time and resources. But it would be much easier to balance and be better for the longevity of the game. Maybe IM could hold a community "contest" where people could give them ideas for the skill trees and organize D&D community creators to vote on the best suggestions.
Holy shit please I beg you get this to IM, this is the best proposal of a skill-tree or class leveling I’ve seen yet.
I think everyone agree's, having a skill tree, people could level up their own spells/perks/abilities that their class already has, and amplify those only. Keeping class identity, while getting "stronger" and having the freedom to customize your class more to fit your playstyle. All without having to "take" other classes perks/spells that were designed for a different class altogether.
Someone in the discord even suggested being able to level up your spells. Like Zap Rank 2 or wizards, ect ect. Things like that would be better than multi-classing. But typical Ironmace, they can't do things in a smart order. When barbs needed nerfs, they spent time making the "market place" to push it out, and it not even work the first day, so they disabled it, while still not having barb nerfs. Same thing here. They will maybe get to it, but first they are gonna push this multi-classing out for a level of unbalance that noone can fathom, then bring in druid, then do a 4th ice map level with Santa Claus as the boss, THENNNN they will get to something that matters.
Do 3 things that don't matter at all, then do 1 thing that should have been done months prior. The Ironmace way
I like your ideas but personally i like the multiclassing system, i think for right now ironmace should keep it on test servers and try and balance things there. I have seen a comment out there before say maybe you shouldnt allow skills to be taught and only perks, and that you should limit some of the perks to be class specific like ambush wouldnt be used because you cant get hide or such

Smite/Divine prot rogues will be running around everywhere. Literally just a waste of however many weeks they leave this up. They are wasting time the could be getting useful feedback on a good system. People are already saying its bad on PTR, that should be a red flag right there. People who even like it suggesting things like "perks only", yet ironmace wont listen until 2 months from now when there are even less players, and 2 months of lost new players who get the game during the multi-class BS and are like "nah, lol"
I love the good ideas from the community, just have a hard time understanding why ironmace doesn't listen, or just doesn't care. Literally top streamers are already predicting multi-classing to be chaos. Yea they might be optimistic about having fun and their class / builds, but they see the writing on the wall. Game doesn't grow, neither does their viewership. Most streamers while excited, are still expressing this exact thing. Yet Ironmace is just gonna chug along as usual.

I say create a separate mode for Multi Classing because Multi Classing is certainly fun to go crazy but I wouldnt want it in a competitive environment
Like WoWs Season of Discovery is a separate thing from WoW Classic
I wouldnt say that you need a separate Launcher tab for it but maybe a new category in game after High Roller maybe called "Mayhem Mode" where you can use the multi class system to go nuts with builds

For cyclops, if he has his back turned for a while just go for dps he most likley is trying to calculate weather or not to do rocks phase, also on the second hit (his head goes to the left) you can get 2 or 3 headshots and thats a massive dps boost cutting him short by 2 or even 3 rock falls

I really wanted the squire for the longest time, but now that he's here it makes every class feel the same. I think multiclassing will be cool, and with time they'll balance it quite decently, but its gonna make every class indistinguishable, and when you see another player, you wont know who you're up against
Cyclops: 1 second delay for first and last slam, 0.5 second for every in between
slayer caster with crystal ball sounds like fun…. replace your 2nd wind with spell memory and run any of the good spells
think- lesser heal- haste- invis - summon hydra- could be really fun

8:20 is exactly whats wrong with the cleric. He has no chase potential, with no throwing weapons, judgement requiring you to stand still and it cancels cast if they get out of range, and his low weapon swap speed means if the cleric puts away his weapons to chase/flee he cannot take back out his weapons anywhere close to the rate of other classes.
You get it. But there will be people that say, 'remember cleric is only supposed to be a support class....' bs
i really enjoy the idea of multiclassing, mostly cause I feel like this game needs more depth. it also makes this game feel like an actual RPG not just a shooter with swords. for example right now we have essentially 4 levels( lvl1 you get your first perk, lvl 2 your second, etc). its just divided up into chunks, there is no difference between a lvl 1 and a lvl 4 player and no difference between lvl 15 and lvl 200. there will be some balancing issues but nothing that can't be fixed with a few patches.

I think they should just make some of the skills available to all classes regardless of level. And then leave the other skills class specific. That way we keep some of the class identity and also don't add another form of non skill dependent gap. Oh did you have the time to grind all characters to level 30, to then spend the gold to reroll the perfect skill combinations?
My longsword savage roar second wind barb is literally unstoppable. Barb w longbow longsword is nutty. Every melee fight i savage roar second wind off the rip.. endong every fight at 100% hp almost and wiping multiple teams per lobby. Oh yeah and I can crush doors w the 2h bow from miles away too 😂

I think they need to add a pve only mode in order to create a clear way to acquire skill
New player loads into game learns pve and comfortably with weapons utility etc. then they go normals or arena to try out pvp and then high roller this will ultimately create a better experience for new players and allow people to up there skill in whatever they need
breaks up the playerbase too much, it's best to just have people learn the hard way in PvP normals

As someone that entirely respects your skill level. I think multiclass will make unfun classes and play styles actually fun. A slayer fighter is straight forward and enjoyable, unfortunately not every class is atm. They need something else and maybe multiclassing is it, maybe not tho lol

Most people forget that all things within games get nerfed and buffed at different times for a multitude of reasons and that's a good thing, because if nothing changed everything will become stagnant and boring, maybe that's me but i like when the meta constantly shifts because it affects everything including the marketplace, change is good peoples. And my take on multiclassing is that only perks should be allowed to be taken(1 or 2 tops) and not skills(a Barb with divine Protection... yeah, f@%& that for a joke). And don't read the DaD general chat most of those clowns probably have tic tok installed...

i think they will be too stubborn to fully take out multiclassing. a few streams have already hinted that they hate they've already been "forced" to do certain things so i just dont think they'll back down fully again. But i do think they will add a penalty to multiclassing and make it so you can only take 2 or 3 things from other classes max. The penalty will make sure if you dont multiclass and want a "pure" character its still strong.
they have been too stubborn to roll back ANY of the shit they've implemented into the game since before the law suit. including shit like solo queue even after a gathering hall was added. so yea... they don't seem to want to take the risk and anger their discord. shame. it was a good game.

Dont forget IM specifically said they wanted players who only played one class to have to try different things. They wanted to incentivize people to try a lot of classes.
Speaking from experience slayer fighter does not counter double jump longbow
from the perspective of someone who hasn't played the game but watched tons of videos on it:
this game desperately needs a proper PvP combat system. proper mechanics for player fights.
currently the only gameplay that happens is: kite & spam ranged attacks, then rush them and hope your dps is higher than theirs. that's it.
the only actual PvP mechanics are locked to the Longsword, which can actually parry and be rewarded for skillful play.
this game needs that for all melee weapons. something like Mordhau, where blocking, feinting, etc. are actual meaningful choices in a fight - not just kiting and dps spam.
until the game has something like that, I won't pick it up, cause it seems really one-dimensional. I love the concept, the visuals, the way the weapons are different from each other, etc. but if ever fight devolves to kite & throw shit, it's just not interesting enough to me.
I do think it’s not balanced. I do however find multiclassing to be very fun so far. I think it’s gonna stay.

Hey lorr i love ypur content but im sick of getting stomped by gods like you whenever i log onto dad. I only really play 1 or two games a day and it always ends with me getting some bissed out warlock or fighter to 1 hp and then im dead and i lose. With the gbmm i have been able to fight people either atleast similar ish gear up to a full kit of blues. It makes the game playable again. I know its a “Skill issue” but i dont have the time to pump into this game like i used to and it just wasnt fun getting stomped on repeat without even a fraction of a chance

3-4 people is wayy too little gotta have around 7-9 people. 3-4 people would be okay on a 3x3 map. For such a massive ass map tho definitely 7-9 players
So this definitely isn't hate, but your first comment on "I think any class can take out any multiclass" kind of is just an argument that it isn't bad for the game. If you can still beat multis on a pure class, than there's no reason for it not to be there. (I do feel there should be some kind of talent tree, or maybe and extra perk slot for people that choose to just play their class as pure.) I actually think that it's good for the game, but in it's current iteration I just feel it's not very accessible to people with lives. I feel like mastery for the class should just come at level 20, or 15 even when you stop receiving perks. Having to spend so much time on alts is ridiculous, especially with how demanding the games current questing system is. Feels like they want you to only play one character with the way question/grinding works, but then multiclassing just goes against that.

It's with a heavy heart I say I will no longer be watching TheLorr or any other dark and darker content. The game has gone too far south with multiclassing laziness and the recent patch issues. I'm losing a named unique due to the roll back and for me this is the nail in the coffin. I want to erase this game from my memories. God speed bud, sorry your channel was built off of a game that's severely doomed to fail. You're a great content creator and you should start making different content while you can.
Balance=Fun has never been true for a game. Focusing too hard on balance will kill the game

cyclops is by far the worst boss in this game u will die alot even if u mastered him because the fight is just buggy with the boulders and the beam is unpredictable most of the time
If every complaint about GBMM is about the amount of players per lobby, that's more of a critique on low player count than the actual system itself imo. I think IM did a great job combating the feeling of "gear diff" and rekitting feeling like a slog sometimes.

Multiclassing is a complete miss. Imo even taking it to testing was a waste of time. The devs are just lazy. They come up with an idea and barely iterate on it before they release it. Then over time they iterate on everything all at once. They're making things harder for themselves by needing to balance everything at once instead of doing it piecemeal. Adding GBMM and multiclassing at the same time is beyond my understanding. Thats like adding 3 characters to overwatch in 1 patch.
They should just nerf slayer fighter and sprint cd, nerf ranger damage and boom balanced game no need for multi class

i think this game is gonna die soon and i played it like 600hours myself but since the new wipe its not the same anymore and i dont really enjoy it anymore maybe its just me but well see
the only reason gear is such an issue are the randomized sub stats on gear. being able to min max shit like movespeed or +all or whatever just completely ruins and breaks the game from what it used to be. its the biggest thing contributing to "meta" builds and also having to have encyclopedic knowledge of what to loot to make a profit fucking sucks. and now it's even WORSE with the introduction of the marketplace. the game was much better back when you could loot a purple piece of gear and know without any doubt that it was better than the blue piece of gear. "class diversity" does not need to be a thing in this game, and everyone had fun with it back when there wasn't any. simple methodology to make a fun game: KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID.
Diablo should NOT have been in ANY WAY an inspiration for this game.

Watch out with healing after rockfall even more when ur that far away from cyclops right after it bc if he does the beam us are screwed if ur mid animation. 12:54 Just expect the eye to always happen after rockfall so stay close.🫡
