I was in the process of shooting a demo on the DNA Amps 1350 Bass head and Lawrence Calloway (AKA Shaun Gotti) came into the store. I was able to capture him trying out a few different Sadowsky Basses. Shaun is a MONSTER player and I was lucky enough to capture some of his madness. The Basses he played are listed below. DNA 1350 bass demo will soon follow. Youre hearing a 50/50 split of DI & Mic. At certain points in the demo, the mic was a few feet away from the cab, I wasnt prepared to start shooting when he got there. I basically plugged him in and capture him groovin on the fly.

Hey thank you all for your likes and dislikes I actually came into the store to purchase the 59 sunburst will lee signature sadowsky but all of the sadowsky basses felt great and had there own identity.

If I was there that day, I would’ve bought that black Sadowsky. My goodness. I’m glad they let him hang out and get warmed up cuz the first minute or so he was still Clark Kent, but by the end of this vid, he had reached Superman mode. Killer playin. I bought the bass at 3:50 - sunburst with maple neck and olive green pick guard. Bought it online from Bass Club about 5 months ago - simply awesome instrument. And great sales team, timely delivery, etc.

Listening in 2021. This guy killed that bass!!! Some of the best slap bass I’ve ever heard.
1st and 2nd bass sounded beastly (rosewood had a smoother clarity to it)great bass lines man!

The first time that I saw a Sadowsky bass is when Jason Newsted was playing one in Metallica's "I Disappear" video way back in 2000. It was pretty then and it's pretty now.

Great player. I played a Sadowsky MS5 for 2 yrs but I sold it because it really didn 't fit into my wheel house but they are great basses if that's your thing.

Different audio record modes makes hard to judge. At the sunburst JB missing the speaker mic... and it has different recording sound, not just the bass...
Awesome playing and cool gear as well. Little too much buzz on the amp for my taste - especially on the the black J type bass. How could we avoid that digital buzz? I had the same problem with a Bergantino HDN 212 and Forté amp...
See, I am looking to buy a Metro MV5 with maple board in 59 burst. I slap approx. 5% in total of my playing time. I am sure I am not the only bass player with this slap/fingerstyle ratio. So why don't you demonstrate a little more how these basses sound in a real-world-finger style setting?
Sadowsky basses sound great. It's just hard for me to get used to the string spacing.
Interesting e seems to have way more facility on MAPLE fingerboards. I just saw a video of 2 monster local players playing Havona and the guy with the Maple Board out shone the Pau Ferro Fingerboard...hummh...a good player I guess .....

I liked the sound of the maple board ones the best- were they different models?

If you install a Sadowsky preamp on a Fender, its going to sound just like that.

+Adam Drake This was a pretty spontaneous video. The customer just dropped in, started playing, and we started rolling. He wasn't really prepared for a presentation video, so it just wound up being a performance vid. Thanks for checking it out!
