    I struggle with water fasting. I always do fruit fasting. Going forward I will be combining both. Water during the day and a glass of juice before bed time. Else the headache is just unbearable. If you don't pray a lot during fasting, 5 days is a long time. I am telling you. The secret of fasting is in prayer. Trust me.

    I never eat past 2pm and strictly WFPB from 6am to 2pm and I run marathons. I'm also no salt, no sugar, and very low oil and never have electrolyte issues.

    What a great interview- very knowledgeable and give a complete answers to all the questions. Thank you for such a comprehensive information on fasting and health. I am a big believer in the health benefits in fasting & have done it once in true north 5 or 6 years ago for 5 days and the benefits were huge eventhough I never was in any medications . I’m 68 and great believer in the true north practice and mission. Thank you chef Aj for the many great people you introduce us to.

    I water only fasted 5 days from Tuesday, October 25 at 5pm. until Sunday, October 30th. 5pm. From 182 pnds. to 175.2 broke fast with mushroom broth since I' wfpb. Want to do it agai to get rid of the nodule on my lung.

    Jessie, the #1 issue that causes GERD (even on a plant based diet or fasting) is due to a defective lower esophageal sphincter. Make an appointment with a gastroenterologist (this is clearly not Dr. Veress core competency). If your lower sphincter was working, acid would not be entering your esophagus! See a gastroenterologist to get it fixed or treated before it's too late.

    Such a great show this was! Dr Veress truly is so great :) also so synchronous that GERD came up - I've been thinking of if I might have some issues with that, so it's really super useful to know what things to look for, when already eating WFPE! Thank you so much
