Partyholic87 She was obviously an oppressed prisoner with hardly any normal social experiences her whole life with kids her age or other people, told that she had all sorts of illnesses and basically brain washed by a nutcase with serious mental health issues from the minute she was born. She can’t possibly be blamed fully for her escape plan she was a victim her whole life and didn’t have the proper skills to handle the situation correctly. A whole lot of therapy should have been her sentence not locked away. I just feel really sorry for her that again she is a prisoner, nothing has changed. The mother put that kid through hell

She learned manipulation from her mother. The way her mother preyed on her she preyed on someone mentally below her. Now that she is free of her mother she has no mental delays or other health issues. Yet, the BF had documented mental health issues that he continues to live with in jail. Lets be real, this man would not have killed without Gypsy convincing. He believed he was saving Gypsy.
She sent the FB messages out she wanted to mother found so she could change the narrative.
The same effort she put into planning and sending money to the BF to visit for the 1st visit and planning purchasing the murder weapon a for her mother's murder she could have planned other ways to escape that did not involve killing her mother. Murder was the easy way out especially if she did not have to do the killing.
Yes, I believe she was abused but we will never know the full extent. Every choice is followed by a consequence. Some we glad to live with some we regret.

Either way she will have to give an account before the Lord for her sins. None are good except God. But she and anyone else dont have to suffer in hell if they put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Who took the punishment we deserved upon Himself. Jesus willingly died at the cross to free us from the bondage of sin and death. He resurrected on the 3rd day and is with the Father until the day He returns. And when we accept His sacrifice for our sins and put our faith in Him, God will have mercy upon us and forgive us. Repent and put your trust in Christ and He will lead you into newness of life.

@@badbtcimthebar I would read the other comments and their replies, yes there were DEFINITELY other options that could've been taken instead of planning a murder, but you also need to consider the state of her being a victim. Being manipulated and abused drives people to a corner where they're unable to rationalize. Running away was difficult in her situation too as her mother was watching her. As Gypsy said, she did try to run away but was severely punished once. Calling the police would've also been a difficult option as things don't get magically solved with one call, there's a system of law she has to go through. The mother could have potentially just lied her way out, potentially using Gypsy's "illnesses" against her like having the supposed mentality of a child. Not saying that it would not have been better than to commit murder, it's definitely a better option, I'm saying that things aren't so simple. Also, you have to consider the possibility that later down the line her mother would've killed Gypsy before anything could've been done. Someone could also possibly argue that what she did was self-defense, but I'm not going to into that due to my lack of knowledge (She did manipulate a guy to do the dirty job for her after all). She did deserve punishment (to what degree the punishment should have been is another argument), but at the same time she most certainly deserves empathy.

Then notice the differences in their behaviours: these are selfless beings, ACTUAL victims who are really now struggling with life and trying to build a life. They justify the trauma sometimes. Then you have the murderers: exploitative, manipulative, compulsive lying, blames it on everyone else.

How complicated and traumatic the bond between mother and daughter can be is a widely underrated thing. I don't wish my mother dead, but I all but ran away from her when I was 25. To this day, she neither has my number nor address. She destroyed my life once and tried to do so a second time. I had a mental breakdown at 23 and at 21 I was almost raped; no reaction from her side. She only could shine when she could make everything about herself. For a long time, being dependent on her, I thought that she must know best. In hindsight, I realized that she's disturbed and that she didn't educate but abuse me. Once I got away, most of my alleged problems turned out to be things she didn't understand, my physical "illnesses" harmless and ordinary, my "faults" things that she didn't want me to do because they weren't revolving around her, and most of my troubles caused by unresolved trauma. It's been 26 years and I'm still not fully recovered.
I went to more than 20 psychologists, therapists etc. Most of them didn't understand a word I said, just stared at me blankly. A few said, "Your mother is just afraid of losing you." I had to heal on my own. It seems that for 99 % of the population of this planet, every mother is a saint and the idea that she might be sick in her mind and not have the best intentions for her child is unacceptable, even perverted.

She has clearly never been in an abusive situation, you can’t just plan an escape and execute it, it’s not that easy. Gypsy was abused and used since birth. She tried to escape and was chained to a bed for 2 weeks. At this point, her mind is gone, she doesn’t have the capabilities to plan an elaborate escape method. Killing her abuser is the easiest way to escape. She did not want to murder her mother, she just wanted freedom and she didn’t know what else to do. I don’t blame her one bit.

The evidence shows she and her boyfriend thought out the plan and proceeded with the murder. She's a victim, but not one invincible in the eyes of the law. There are many ways she could have gotten out of that situation, she should have trusted her gut instinct the moment she felt like she was being deceived by her mother for her illnesses and lies. If she failed her escape the first few time, she should have contacted her father for help, or ask a close neighbor when she was alone, not being constantly watched by her psychotic mother.

I’m Asian foreigner, but I heard many rich just love to give away fortune for tax reasons and fame, that kind of society is maybe problematic too.
She was a child who was only smiling along her sickened- minded mother, her only family and protector.
