  • This one way to use a pantograph pdf pattern. There are other ways to use a pdf pantograph pattern. You can stitch holes on the paper and use pounce chalk to create the design on the fabric. Then just stitch along the chalked design. You could also use fabric markers to trace the pattern directly onto the fabric. The last two ways save paper.

Thank you for this tutorial on sewing with Tracing paper templates. It was very detailed and easy to follow which I can appreciate. Because I have not done this before, which it gives me a lot of ideas for some plastic templates that I have. I'm going to try and lay the template down on top of the tracing paper. To get the design I'm wanting then as you did in your video. I'm definitely saving this video so I can practice and eventually apply this technique to my quilt.

Thank you for this tutorial. You came to our guild meeting in Tyler this month (my first one). You do amazing and beautiful work. I am new to quilting and didn't know who you were. 😊

Although this is a great method to use for designs, doing it on practice fabric isn't the same as an actual quilt because you have the weight giving you drag/pull resistance.

could you buy digital patterns and just print them to the tracing paper?

I’ve never done it but I don’t see why that wouldn’t work! I have just not printed onto tracing paper.

Hi! I’m not familiar with that method. I know there are several methods to do this as I said that in the description of the video. This was just one method. I’m always open to other ways!
