Just when I think the craftsmanship can’t get any more impressive, you raise it again! I’m never going to look at my old doorframes in the same way again! Amazing
I think I've run out of superlatives to explain the levels to which you have shown in your work. Phenomenal precision in joinery, your work is at another level, Ollie. Congrats.
This is going to be stunning when its done. Loving the fly on the wall style but do like a good in depth video every now and again. I've said it before but your work really is on another level. Keep it up Olly.
Top class joinery it’s nice to c there’s still people out there that r prepared to pay for a proper piece joinery to made like this by a top class joiner like you in the traditional way it’s a refreshing break from the mass manufactured market that most people want nowadays
Your so right Mate, 'proper woodwork' Good to see a tradesman who enjoys his work and knows his trade. Always enjoy the guitar work as well. Tim, from Australia.
i've been woodworking for 40 years , and still love watching a true craftsmen at work . is 10k the total price for the project or just the door and frame .
Within one half a mill by hand…….. amazing Your tools are very well attended to….. a testament to your quality of workmanship Always a pleasure to watch
This is just amazing. I think you said you are painting this? So many others would get it close and cover up the gaps with caulk, not Oliver! Absolutely stunning and can't wait to see the finished transom.
Absolute master of your trade, i have worked as a carpenter for the last 50 years i don't come close to what you are doing and i thought i was good, love your vidios.
I’ve been making Doors, Windows and frames for quite a while now in the netherlands. But man compared to you i’m a complete rookie! Amazing craftsmanship!
Love it ,it doesn't matter how long you been doing joinery for when it all comes together all square and tight it's like the first time you did it and you do a little dance inside 😉👍👏👏👏 well done mate fantastic stuff
Not too shabby at all😃 undercutting on the scribe its not a cheat.i mean you need somewhere for the excess glue to go, these first fits are great parts of the job.well done keep it up
Great job here. We call that coping in the US. Just a 5 degree back bevel and it fits beautifully. We use disc grinders on site for the base and crown. Cheers from Montana
That is looking amazing, love seeing it coming to life, your a true master at work. I would love to Try doing something like this one day. Even tempted to try a scaled down version just for the fun of it, and when finished have it sitting on a shelf. Lol
A Proper bit of woodwork indeed! Great stuff Oliver, I’ve never done a joint like that, my limit is straight mitres, but I might give it go on some mouldings I was given a while back. I see you’ve moved over to FCP! I hope you are enjoying it!
This is world class and you make it look easy. Very impressive stuff dude. You should get an apprentice and pass your skills on, it would be a real shame if you took them to the grave! Cheers from N.I.
looks like a Fisch drill bit to me Ollie - axminster did rebrand a lot of their stuff I think. they certainly look similar and my fisch bits have really lasted. Matt.
It's a shame to paint over such quality workmanship! Top notch as usual. Hopefully some of this skill and knowledge will get passed on to some keen apprentice 👌
Incredible work, im still not sure i could do that a tricky a joint not helped by the profile and weight and size of the timber. I hope your going to do the actual site installation.
I was cutting a sheet of mdf the other day for the middle of a shaker door and still managed to cut it 9mm too short. Can’t comprehend how many trees I’d go through trying to make this.
I didn't think people did joinery like this anymore - absolutely stunning 😮
