How wonderful to see this again, the two greatest drivers of all time; Sir Lewis Hamilton and Sir Stirling Moss. Sir Stirling may you rest in peace old chap 🙏
Yeah and it would have been mostly for his own safety probably. The engine could handle 7500 rpm for 10 hours straight with only refueling and tire breaks back in 1955.
I second Zac above !! Would have loved to see them "put the pedal to the metal" herer, but at probably $5 to $8 Million dollars apiece for anyone of these cars, I am sure he was told to "Keep Calm and Carry On" old boy !! LOL !!!
Race In Peace
Sir Stirling Moss
1929-2020
Symbolic. Hamilton handling the legendary car that Fangio used, and next to him, Moss. They were great friends.

that was great but not for 10 minutes. would've loved to see lewis give it the beans some, tho i'm sure he was told not to.

Idc if I was told not to, I would totally floor it. You're probably only gonna get to drive it once so you might as well make the most of it.
Also would have been nice to hear up and downshifting.
Loved this video a lot 🏎💜
Wonderful video, wish they pushed them a little over 40mph. I get it though 👍🏼
Hello, I would like to know what the flat fins behind the front wheels of the w196 are for. Thank you in advance for any comments.
