all stock 163 with e start. I like the xm 154 way more just because its a lot easier to pop up and turn around when breaking trail and overall more fun in my opinion. my 08 didn't have enough power so I went to the 2011 163 e-tec because I thought the 154 wouldnt do it but it does and with the xm even a 146 goes everywhere. I went through one belt at 850km and it peeled tiny bit not break into pieces. the cluthing works awesome on these sleds
The worst feeling ever is ripping around in powder like this and everything is all soft and all of a sudden ur skidoo hits a rock or a stump....#flatlandproblems
Is this a stock sled 163"?. Sounds like its working excellent. How is it on drive belts? Lokiing to snowcheck one can't decide on 163" or 154". my 09 163" xp didn't seem to have enough jam at 7000' to turn the 163".
Nice video dude. The ski doo xm's are some nice powerful sleds. I ride my friends 2013 xm 163 and it is a blast I could spend a whole week on the mountain and never come down once if I had the opportunity to that is how fun they are. Well anyways I am buying some snowmobiling gear cause I used to borrow some from my buddy when we would go but I bought myself a sled I am going to be sledding in Canada in the same stuff so what are some stuff you have found and stuff that your friends in this video are wearing that you and they have found to be effective and comfortable to wear?
Depends on the type of riding that you are doing. Are you riding off trail (like this video) or riding trail? I ride off trail and this is the gear that I wear and I am really comfortable: Klim Adrenaline GTX boot, Klim Free Ride Pants, Analog Snowboarding Jacket, Fly or SkiDoo Gloves, Standard Baclava, Fox Helmet with 509 Sinister goggles. Even in the coldest of temps, I am still very comfortable.
SummitXM Yeah I ride off trail in the deep pow and back country like in your video. I have heard alot of people talk about being able to ride the back country with all snowboarding stuff and I have thought about just sticking with using snowboarding pants and jackets cause I already have those things and so I would not have to go and buy new pants and jackets for snowmobiling however I have heard alot of people say that it is a bad idea. So your snowboard jacket holds up pretty well in the cold temps then?
Hey We use Tobe mono suits mostly these days, so comfy and wear armour under it. Spy googles, Kali helmets, Elka shocks, Snowpulse packs and Cheetah Factory racing for bars and sled rack. I used to use snowboard gear but it would get ripped by half way during the season, Tobe outerwear is the bomb. If you are interested in the Tobe I can get you a discount. You can pm me on here but if you want a fast reply message me on facebook/westcoastsledders.
You had me all confused for a moment, its a jerry can full of gas to get home after we play all day. We take them off so the back end isn't weight down in the deep snow. You'll never catch me littering in the wilderness! I stopped riding with people because they leave their garbage behind!!
sweet new video!!! we are all so blessed to be living in the great north west...cheers

Yea the jacket holds up fine. On the much colder days, I do wear under armour as well.

dude
How much easier is it to sidehill the xm than the xp?
Why the air lift?
Why litter in the forest, looked at the canister, and drove on.
