  • We install 17” Black Rhino Roku wheels in matte bronze and P-rated Falken WildPeak AT3W all-terrain tires on my stock 2017 F-150 XLT AWD. They push the limit of tire that will fit with no lift or leveling kit.
    Next up, a Bilstein or Eibach leveling kit....what would you guys choose?

    awesome wheel and tire setup. Gonna look so good once you level it out. I'm actually getting a similar setup for my tundra. Going with same size Falken's but method mr301 in 17x8.5 with a 0 offset. Should be a perfect setup on the truck. nothing ridiculous but will look a million times better.

    I got lucky when I bought my ford truck last year. It was previously owned by the mechanic at the dealership so he already put on a better aggressive tires.

    Good choice for a more aggressive tread pattern in your Wisconsin winters. So many times I’ve seen trucks in the ditch because of bad traction and the focal point is absent. Really like the bronze rims on the new ones. Good job! A lift kit may be in order for the tight tolerances around the wheel wells. Keep em’ coming......

    If the new tires don't rub than why would you put a leveling kit in?
    The truck looks great as is.
    Are the new rims wider or do they have different offset from the stock ones?

    • @OptimalLM
      @OptimalLM  Před 3 lety

      The front right rubs when turning to the right completely and when backing with the wheel turned. It’s minor so a level is in the future but I have yet to get one and things have been fine. They have a different offset from the stock ones.

    I have the exact truck, I also I’m getting that tire. What is the reason for getting a 17” rim over the stock size ? Pros, cons ?

    • @OptimalLM
      @OptimalLM  Před rokem

      I like the look of the 17” wheel and it gives you a lot more sidewall for airing down if needed on a trail.

    I'm surprised they rub tbh. I've heard of guys running this tire size on 17s with no lift or level with a 0 offset and not rubbing.
    I planned on running this tire and rim size on 6+ offset expecting to not rub. Guess I'll find out at some point lol.
