- For my first low and slow cook on the new Weber Searwood pellet grill I decided to make my no-wrap ribs. Watch this video until the end to see how to make juicy, fall-of-the-bone tender pork ribs using a "no-wrap" method and minimum ingredients.

Great stream, how do you know the Ribs are male? I checked my ribs and could not tell, when you rotated "him." you seemed to be able to make that distinction, just wondering, LOL.
Awesome job Jeff , the searwood did a pretty good job! Ribs came out super and not dry. Another perfect review and cook! Have a awesome week, cheers brother 🍻
Heck ya George!!! so far this pit is doing a good job for the price!! Thanks for watching, brother!!!!
Those ribs looked delicious, Ricer!! Nice little pit and review, sir!!!
Thanks, Mark!! Ya this pit is doing a decent job!!! Thanks for watching brother!!!
Love the nekkid ribs Jeff. The crew waited 2 hours longer than promised to eat? I can imagine you in the center being circled by growling carnivores. It looks like you came out intact, still holding your own. =^)
Hahahaha well they can always find something to eat around this dump but they were starting to get a little squirrelly!!! hahaha Thanks for watching, Brian!!!!
You did a great job on both the video and the cook, Jeff. Cheers!
Thanks Greg!!!! Fun video to film, I always enjoy testing out a new pit!!! I appreciate you watching, brother!!!
I really wanted to like this cooker, but those temp differences from left to right is huge. Keep tracking the temps in future cooks. Ribs look delicious though!
Ya Mario, I was surprised it had that big of a difference too but I have ran plenty with same issue from other brands. I grilled on it and 100% you have to rotate the product during the cook. Thanks for watching, brother!!!
You have the one I am looking at, I don’t need the XL. Please post more videos of cooks! I am waiting for more evidence that I’ll love this pit. These ribs looked awesome. If you could do a brisket, that would be great! And some meatloafs.
Hahaha well I am not sure when I will get to a brisket cook. I got more pits waiting to be reviewed. This is a good entry level pellet grill. The rotisserie is an awesome accessory!! We will do a couple recipes on it down the road but at the moment I give this pit a decent rating because it does an ok job at both grilling and BBQ. Thanks for watching!
That's a beautiful pellet grill!
I have been happy with it so far!! Thanks for watching, brother!!!!
Love my smokefire. Iam going love the sear wood. Nice job Jeff. My ex4 takes about 10 minutes to get to 250. When out door temp is in the 60 degrees. At 15 below it takes longer lol
Heck ya Scotty, but Weber says it heats up faster and I really noticed it when I cranked it up to 600 degrees! Grilling video coming next, learning more how it runs and so far it is doing a decent job. Thanks for watching, brother!!
Looking good Bro!
Thanks for watching, brother!!!!
@@SmokedBBQSource , you always make good stuff!!
Thanks brother!
Nice racks bro! And you know I know government work...😂
Hahahahaha true dat brother, you been on that government dime for a long time!!! Thanks for watching, Jeff!!!! Have a great week!!
I have the SmokeFire I’ve never had problems with it but I do clean it regularly. Trust me it’s not perfect but I always felt like it produced good food.
Just bought this last week. It comes in tomorrow. Super excited. Thanks for the content!
Awesome!!! Enjoy the new pit!!! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!!
LOOKING GOOD JEFF AS ALWAYS
Thanks Rod!!!!! I appreciate you watching, brother!!
Looks like redemption from Weber
Heck ya, I certainly like the design better!! So far it is doing a decent job!!! Thanks for watching, Rusty!!!!
Would you recommend purchasing one or waiting a while for Weber to get out the bugs ? The temperature difference bothers me some. Thanks in advance
I don't think they get the temp issue fixed but a lot of pellet grills have this issue. I feel that this pit is priced right. I think it smokes more than the SmokeFire and still does a decent job on both BBQ and Grilling. With that said I got more testing to do. Thanks for watching!!!
Looks like it preformed well except for the temps being off like that. I might pick one up and keep the EX6, can never have to many pits right?
Heck ya, Troy!!! It certainly is doing a decent job!!! I am in the middle of doing the grilling test and I will say I am getting some great flavor but this temp issue from left to right means you will certainly have to rotate the product during the cook. Other than that, I like this pit ands soon I am going to use the rotisserie!! Like always, thanks for watching!!!!
@@SmokedBBQSource Well the original SF had temp differences from side to side that I take advantage of. I guess that ain't that big of a deal to me. Loving your reviews Ricer, thanks!
Agree, not a big issue once you know about it.
I’m new to pellet and just purchased the Weber sear wood 600. I’m going to try this cook when the grill comes in a few days
Looking forward to learning from you
Thanks for the tips !
Heck ya, you're welcome!!!! Enjoy that new pit!!! Thanks for watching!!
Another great video and review. What I would do for some Dead broke bbq ribs. 😋
Heck ya Rich!!! Come on down, brother!! I will make ya a few slabs!!! Thanks for watching!!
Can you try out the searing capabilities on this grill? Open and closed lid comparisons would be great.
I've done two sear tests so far and will include the results in the final review which should be out in the next few days. Thanks for your question!
I just purchased one waiting for it to arrive. Thanks for the video. Keep up the great work. One question how often are you rotating and flipping the ribs ?
I rotated them every hour until they were done. Thanks for watching and enjoy that new pit!!!
Bro really smoked his eyes and lungs for this video thank you❤
Hahahaha yes I did!!! Part of the job!!!!! hahaha Thanks for watching and I appreciate the comment, Kyle!!
Leaves lid open for 10 minutes at a time and wonders why it's taking over 7 hours. Genius.
Good looking bones Jeff! Now I want ribs for breakfast!
Hahahah sorry Rus!!! I know how hard it is to eat ribs before noon!!! hahaha Thanks for watching brother!!
Hi Ricer, interest in that Weber600.. Got a couple of Pit Boss myself looking to buy something for son in law.Maybe that Weber might be the answer. Been thinking of PB competition series 3 or a masterbilt gravity. Opinion please. Nice video
This is a decent pit for both smoking and grilling. I think it does a better job at grilling but as you can see, it can still do bbq!! The bonus is, you can get a rotisserie for this one! I have grilled on it and next going to do a rotisserie chicken. Then edit and post the video. Spoiler, just like the rib cook, the left side lags behind so I did not get even searing across the whole bottom grate. But everything tasted really good!! Thanks for watching!!!
Temp., difference is interesting. Any explanation from Weber? Thanks.
Ya but it is kind of normal for a lot of pellet grills to have a temp difference, I have seen it many times on a lot of different pellet grills. No, and I probably will never hear anything from them on it. Thanks for watching!!
Do you think the searwood is better than the smokefire and traeger ironwood?
I like it a tad better than the SmokeFire but if I was going to mainly use it for smoking BBQ I would lean towards the Ironwood. It does do a decent job grilling but so did the SmokeFire. Hope this helps!!! Thanks for watching!
Nice….how does it compare with the Traeger Ironwood. For some time I’ve been in the market for a pellet grill and been targeting the Traeger but then along arrives the Searwood and with an attractive price point.
Personally, I like the Ironwood better but if you do more grilling, the Searwood is your ticket!!
Why the 50 degree temp difference from left to right? The burn pot is below the baffle in the middle. Is the fan pushing left to right?
A lot of pellet grills have this temp difference. The fan is coming from under the hopper and going towards the firepot. Thanks for watching!
I am on the fence. Not sure to get the 600 or 600 XL. Don't want to little of grill but not to big either
Always good to have more room if you need it! Thanks for watching!!!
I just ordered one of these from ACE. I’m curious what the total cook time was on the ribs, did I hear about 7 hours?
These took 8 hours, might have been the ribs themselves but moving forward I will always smoke at 275°. Enjoy the new pit!!!!
It probably took so long because you were putting water on them. Any spritzing just prolongs your cook as it chills the meat when it evaporates off. Try it again with no spritzing, I think you'll find it doesn't take anywhere near as long to cook them. I do no wrap ribs on my Yoder all the time but I never spritz them, and I've never had to cook ribs over 7 hours.
Wow - 8 hours is pretty long for unwrapped ribs - But! - They look nice-n-juicy!
"Real" internal smoker temps with all the shifting seems to average around 135 per rack which is great.
You're not the first one to highlight unwrapped racks of ribs recently - Humm... - Cheers!
YA it averaged out ok but I was really surprised how long they took, might have been the ribs themselves but next time I need to run this pit at 275°. Thanks for watching Garry and next up, going to see how it does grilling!!!
overpriced on both the grill and pellets IMHO, I will stick with my old barbque smoker. Not to mention 8 hours? wow. on a real smoker yea...but a pellet GRILl? I dont think so.
Ya it sucks that these pits are getting so expensive but WHAT isn't!!! This pit is priced on the average for the mid level quality of pellet grill. Thanks for watching!
The horse shit music in the background sounds like Sesame street
meh, toughen up
That music in the background tells me that you are insane deleting your channel. What the
wimp
Are you drinking drunk?
