You have to see the documentary about Yummy. His mother didn't show one sign of sadness after he passed. She cldnt even answer basic questions about Yummy. It was cringy watching and listening to the womb donor. A tv crew followed his family around after he passed and during his funeral, they also interviewed Shavon's family as well. It was a good doc.

I don't like it when people call him a gang member. A child cannot consent to joining a gang and everything that comes with it, just like they cannot consent to sex. He was a child looking for any type of attention and sadly even attention from older gang members is attention when you have none. Same as the young boys who killed him too. Just because they had parents with good jobs doesn't mean their parents were good to them. Abuse touches all tax brackets. They're manipulated children.

An 8 year old boy hung him self after coming home from school in 2017. Did he not consent? Cause he was the only person involved in that decision hun. Also since ‘99 there has been an average of 1 suicide ever 5 days between children age 5-12 years old in the United States alone.. I know you feel empowered to talk but some of us actually remember being young as shit and driven to extreme rationalities on a daily basis and it rude to tell our story’s for us. Thanks.

Yummy was sent to kill someone else but he fired wildly and killed the young girl instead. He made a mistake and it was a hit gone wrong. So they decided that he had to go and sent the two younger gang members to pretend they were helping him hide from police. Instead they took him to an alley and killed him. Gang banging is NOT cultural!!! It's a PERSONAL decision!!! My black son is NOT a gang banger, my 4 black brothers are NOT gang bangers, few of my classmates are gang bangers. We grew up in black suburbia and the hood. I have a brother that sold dope and one that used dope, neither gang banged and now the dope seller is a business owner (no drug money used and after he was released from prison), the user is managing a billion dollar company. We saw good days and DARK days as kids, we saw murder, abuse and hell. Our mother was a single mother with 7 kids, but she was a PARENT who stayed in our business and my 2 siblings made a CHOICE to ignore her parenting and do their own thing, but eventually came back to it. Parents have to parent and children have to make good decision when they're out of their parents presence.
In lil Yummy's case, his parents didn't parent! My heart goes out to him and his alleged victims.

I’m an elementary school teacher in Appalachia, at a title 1 school. I see the same thing here, our school is 99% white but 100% living below the poverty line. Drug use is rampant because people are escaping the harshness of their reality, and it’s also generational. We don’t have the gangs or gun violence here to worry about and kids can go outside to play, I know that makes a huge difference.
