In this video The Spa Guy takes you to Fire Station #1 in Memphis where Elvis played as a teenager when living at Lauderdale Courts and from 1987 to 1991 the ambulance that transported him was kept to keep it from being stolen.. Like, Share, Join and Subscribe..

Yes we stayed there in the apartment June 12, it was so exciting and emotional for me to be where ELVIS lived for 4 yrs. of his life. ❤

I’ve made a food delivery to that fire station somewhat recently. Nice to know the Elvis ambulance was stored there.

Another great video! Looking at the construction of Lauderdale Courts, I am amazed at the all-brick and stone construction used. As a custom builder, I can tell you that today only a true luxury home would be built that way. But look how well that material has held up for over seventy years. A little steam cleaning and it would look brand new. And they have never had to paint those walls once in all those years. The architecture and materials are outstanding for a public housing project.

I'm fairly new to your channel, but every episode is so interesting and the narration is perfect. I really enjoy the way you dig up the little tidbits of Elvis history and then show us the actual places where it happened. You have a pleasant personality and are full of Elvis knowledge, and I think fans visiting Memphis would gladly pay you for a tour. I sure would.

Thanks for sharing the Elvis triangel, yes its a bit ironic that the Fire Station numb 1 is where the ambulance stayed until 1991 and Elvis played as a kid and that Gladys at work the hospital cross the street and he live in Alabaman house. The area Elvis played and walk around in is like a triangel and is called the triangel and his life ended in ambulance so come from a Firer Station from the same area. is ironic to think about all this happen in one area !

Ever thought of operating a tour bus, showing fans those small interesting places that main tours do not pick up........See the Elvis sights with "Spa Tours" your one stop Elvis tour for the places other tours miss, which will start & finish at your karate museum. Perhaps even Billy Smith could jump in for the ride, to provide the personal touch??.........sounds good to me. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for another great video. I have been by there many times on my way east from Little Rock and never knew Elvis’s old stomping grounds were right there. I wonder if he very went back to any of those places to visit? I have visited my old home town and the house I grew up on a few different occasions.

I stayed in the Sheraton last time I was in Memphis so I was able to just walk over to the Courts. Didn't realize that till after I got to the hotel. I'll make it to the Dojo next trip!

It was a very different enviroment to Tupelo where he played as a young boy.
Cool that’s awesome but how about showing us the church that Elvis went when he was a kid Assembly’s of God Church or a Pentecostal Church that he went to growing up Billy
I filmed inside that church to tell the story and lost the footage when my camera was stolen later that day in Memphis.. I have tried to get back in and have not had success..

They are not.. Charles Crosby passed in 1981 and Ulysses Jones passed in 2010..
Billy, I was a bit confused about Elvis’ actual apartment. You showed us his bedroom behind the marker but then stated his apartment was the one fenced in opposite the i40. Did the whole apartment have windows on both sides of the building?
