Man that’s awesome! Looks really cool. On your lancier video I commented that I had to have one of those cars. Well, I bought a chassis for one. Now I just have to find a body!
The correct body is super hard to find and way too expensive. The new Lancia 037 from tamiya is the same shell with modified wheel arches but I will do a video on how to convert it.

Amazing job! Beautiful Bronco..... But tube bumpers were a little rusty and cheap back in the day. But, almost everyone had one.They actually rusted faster than the Bronco. Love the tires and interior.

Love all the things you make. Too bad i cant get my hands on a 3d printer. But if i did, what ideally would i look for as far as specs for making items like yours?
Oh i dont have a printer either. I have owned about 5 of them and hated dealing with all of the associated maintenance, calibration and wear. I use shapeways for everything. Cheaper, no overhead, no storage, no maintenance and more choices.
That's awesome the front bumper you could flip that bumper mount upside down , and it will raise it up three or 4 mm

OMG! I just bought your plans for the rims and I had someone print it for me. Super excited. The quality of the print is not the best but im super happy and cant wait to get them to fit. My question is since You said they dont make these tires anymore you have on your what would you recommend that looks similar? I was thinking the rc4wd michelin but im not sure. I would like something that looks like yours. Thank you for the awesome plans.
Glad to hear it! I would look at 1.9" tires with a more road tread pattern. You dont want that aggressive of a tire.

@@AMPROEngineering speaking of standing out there is a guy on ebay selling the old style duce 1/2 wheels fir the wpl 16 to 36 and the jj model rc 6x6.
Oh yeas I saw those but they stick out too far. I made some that tuck.

Did you ever throw any lights in them?
Asking because tbh I’ve hit a snag myself with lights in my front guard.
I have one of the standard ones, but since the lights mount on the bumper/push guard which is mounted on the frame/chassis, & the lighting module mounts on the body, I’m not quite sure how to run the wires and still make removing the body fairly easy without disturbing wires & lights. 🤷🏻♂️ Don’t want to go drilling holes until I find a solid solution so I’ve just left them empty and for detail/looks as of now.
If you have any ideas or ways about it that you don’t mind sharing I’m all ears at this point.
Oh yea, basically I have the wires go strait down and zip tie as low as I can so that they dont rub the body or get caught on it. It is really tight bit it works.

I appreciate the response, have asked a few people who have the same guard as I do how they went about it but they never responded! Hopefully it’ll workout the same as yours tho, would be awesome to have the extra lighting on night riding & for the added detail! Finally got a small 2:16 clip up of my Bronco I’ve been working on. Hoping to upload some more, better vids of cruising with her! :)

What did you do for clear windows in the back? I'm about to buy and start printing your interior and want to show it off.
Great question. I cut them out and then used clear lexan and glued those in place. If you look up "Matteo's RC Movies Bronco" he did an episode on how to do that. Keep me posted with the interior!!!
What not flip , invert your bumper mounts to raise the bumpers a little bit? I did that on the front of my Bronco and bought another front mount and put it on the rear bumper. It tucks the bumpers up a little more and doesn't look goofy. It's a subtle change, but give you more clearance on your approach and descend angles. I think it would work killer on your set up!
Yeah that is a good idea. I saw you could do that but I like the look of the stock placement. I also never crawl this, it is my trail truck but it seriously is a good call.

Do you think these bumpers will work on the Blazer? They share the same chassis.
It is possible they will but I do not have one to try them on.
It's great yet I needed more coverage and light rack.

The rims are an AMPro design: shpws.me/Tuo2 . The tires are long out of production sadly. I do not remember what the heck they are unfortunately.

What are yours made of? My trx is not a basher. Do I drive it yes but it's more off a era correct show peace that I built a in closed car trailer that I hook up to the back of it
These are all nylon. They are durable (i have similar bumpers on other rc's that I too designed). I dont want to say they are weak as they are not but I have seen how people beat on these!

Not at this time. I was just in love with this bronco so it was easy. Maybe an interior one day.

Really depends on if you want to buy a new set of electronics. The cheap way to go is just to get the shell. May be a good choice.

I designed the rims ( they are going to be on shapeways soon) and the tires were on RC4WD.
How much for a set of those rims
Depends on where you are. Shapeways bases prices on local currency and shipping. They are global. There are also material choices. The high detail stuff like these are very pricey and also not usable as a basher. The nylon is cheaper and strong but needs a lot of work to look good. I think the high detail is around $100.

They were on RC4WD.com. They are SUPER soft but really nice to run. If you search what is on the sidewall you can find it.
