- US stamp album recently purchased from Apfelbaum. This is easily the nicest US album I own. There are gems in this fantastic album like #1b ($3500 Cat Value), $3 Columbus Issue ($750), #C14 Zeppelin ($625) & others.
**UPDATE** I have moved from eBay to Hipstamp!
My store is called Kyle's Stamps Here is the link: www.hipstamp.com/store/kyles-...

Your Grandfather would be so thrilled to see the hours and hours you put in making that album!! It is priceless. I so enjoyed viewing all of your presentation.

I'm glad you enjoyed! I actually didn't make that album but purchased it :). I'm currently transferring all stamps from that album and another into my mystic album to make one "mega album"!
I started collecting stamps as a young girl, and them I fell in love with plate block when I got married. Then I got involved in my life with other things. Now that I am 79, I decided to sell them. What changed my mind is that no one will give me what they are worth. I was so made that I decided to place my collection in better albums, and catalog all the stamps that are just in just in stacks in albums. I have two old albums of old stamps, but I lost interest in them because it is harder to identify the stamps. The perforations, shades of huges, watermark, but as soon I catalog my plate blocks I may work on the older stamps. The one that surprised me, was the Loony tune Bugs Bunny, and I have two of them. I just laugh out loud when I found out what they were worth. I don't have the money continue the collect, but I am enjoying get acquainted all over with my collection.
Cool history indeed! Thanks for sharing! Since I've spent so much on my collection last year I have no choice but to stop buying for now as well. Just like you, I now get to truly famaliarize myself with what I already have, which is quite a bit, haha.
@@KylesStamps Thanks for you advice. I am cataloging all stamps, and I am so surprised how many I have neglected for so many years. I am working with only my plate block right now. They were so easy to collect, for when I went to the post office to buy stamps to pay bills the postmaster would have a collection of plate blocks in a folder for collectors. That is where I got all my plate blocks. Now the post office doesn't have anything for collectors. I don't know where my path will go after I catalog all my stamps.
Beautiful collection ❤🎉 thanks for sharing this information The Hernandez Family Colorado
Thank you!
Great collection. Thanks for sharing!
Why thank you Gramps!
Amazing collection indeed
Some of the values appear to be for mint when stamps seem to used. Also a lot of the earlier coils have been frequently faked by cutting down sheet stamps. You might check them out. It’s nice to see your enthusiasm for your stamps,
Nice collection!
Thank you :)
27:48 hilarious 🤣
😁
Nice video and nice stamps
I appreciate that, thanks!
I saw your Blue locomotive and I have this grilled-gummed stamp in mint condition! Don't want to sell it was in a collection I inherited and has great sentimental value. I have some idea what it's worth but very hesitant to send it off to get certified. Can you offer some price info and a reputable place to have it certified? I'm a subscriber and love seeing what you have! Kind regards!

This article lists four major expertizing committees of which I would probably use PSE or APEX, but they are all good. I have no idea what it would really be worth if it was genuine, however those guys would likely be able to tell you :)
Hi Kyle. Nice collection and info. Not sure what state you live in but I am in Arizona. I recently came across a large stamp collection from the passing of my Uncle . He inherited it from my Grandfather and great Grandfather. I have alot of what you showed in your video along with alot of other older ones and many other kinds. I have been reading up on alot of what I could find through the internet but I still need some guidance and expertise. Just curious where you bought that booklet from and if you know anyone in Arizona to help me? Thank you
Hello, I bought this album from Apfelbauminc.com. They have a huge amount of material. I am in Virginia so I don't know about Arizona.. but you could check google if there are any stamp shops in your area :) - If you want it appraised maybe you could talk to the american philatelic society and see if they have any advice as well.
@@KylesStamps okay thank you for the info and I'll definitely do that.
The first album is actually a remnant collection. Obvious that stamps were removed, by the hinge remnants, where the stamp should be.
When those stamps are mounted onto paper like that, how does one remove it to verify perforations, check watermarks etc. Just a practical question.
If you have a clear perforation gauge you can lay in right on top of the stamps to measure the perfs. How I check watermarks when they are hinged is to remove it from the page. Someone out there might have a trick to check WM on the page but I always end up removing them to get a good look.
There was a stamp in the gutter of the album on the page with the graf zeppelin stamp? Do you remember what it was. I was stressing out because you never took it out of the gutter to see what it was lol. It’s at 44:50 in the video.
I can say I did take every single stamp out of this album when I deconstructed it and distributed the stamps into other albums. I don't think the stamp was anything special or I would have definitely noticed!
Hi... I am from India and I want to become an entry level philatelic seller, could you please guide me on how to get stamps supplies at lower price.... Thanks...
Wow
You keep calling the Benjamin Franklin stamps Thomas Jefferson
I LIKE the early values, but seeing Stamps hinged is a No No.
Do you still recommend Apfelbaum? Debating on some of their listings
Yes, I do. I am a fan of theirs and when looking for large collections they are my go to.
@@KylesStamps thanks, man!

Thanks! I need to sort the last couple of early US binders I've bought to see what I am still missing before I purchase more. Thank you for the offer :)
@@KylesStamps Ok if you would like to see a video let me know.
Quite disgusting how you constantly refer to prices
I bothered to look up the catalog values and decided to share that information, so what? Quite a disgusting comment. Take your negativity elsewhere.
Disgusting to you but not to me I have a collection I’d like to sell and this video was very informative not only with prices but to know which ones are rarer or not. I bought mine from an auction so if it makes you feel worse 😂😂😂
