How to increase to raglan and at the same time work short rows

  • In this DROPS video we show how we increase to raglan and at the same time work short rows. Put 4 markers as explained in the in the pattern you are knitting after and cut the thread.
    Now you start working front left of neck when garment is worn. Start from the right side, 2 stitches before marker-stitch-3 and work after pattern (stocking stitch / after charts) and increase to raglan before and after the 4 markers until you have worked to 2 stitches past marker-stitch-2 (8 stitches increased for raglan).
    Turn, tighten the strand and work back from the wrong side to 2 stitches past where the short rows began by marker-3.
    Continue with short rows as it says in the pattern and when the short rows are finish, cut the thread and now it starts mid-back again. Work the yarn overs / the increases as it says in the pattern, and remember that the yarn overs / increases are worked differently, and differently later when it is worked around.
