HOLY SH*T!!!!!!!!!! What an ABSOLUTE bombshell of a cover! Listened and watched it now for the 5th time before i even dared to make a comment. And still have trouble to find the words. At age 52 i know this song so well. When i listen to Helloween i always pick this song first. Because you hear the quality of the people who play it. Helloween has always been a part of my life, and still is.
To hear Erik perform these notes that Michael Kiske did, mennnnn it gives me chills. And next there is MR. Kai Hansen shredding away in the solo.

The sheer epic-ness of this cannot be understated. I've been a huge Helloween fan for many years, and to see Erik master this song was a joy to behold. I smiled the entire time.

Not the easiest song, and not the easiest singer to cover... but what a job you did (and the musicians as well obviously)! You really have what it takes to be one of the greatest clear voice metal singers of your generation !

Wow, incredible vocals and music on a song I'm not familiar with. I did go see them a few months ago because members were talking about them on Discord. Helloween isn't very well known in the States, but they should be. What an awesome job by all on this one.

Wow… Your voice sounds fuller and boomier than Kiske‘s who always had/has a softer and more head voice oriented approach/sound. How can one sing in such a full tone in this range??? Erik is probably using different technique(s) than Kiske. Kiske is an amazing vocalist and nails this song with a perfect 10/10 score! I'd give Erik a solid 8/10 for this. I think I've heard covers of this song with singers who sound closer to Kiske, those would score better for me as I am in love with Kiske's tone 😍
@@MaximusAdonicusI also love Kiske‘s voice and tone, he is a totally outstanding singer. Still I think it‘s technically even harder to let the voice produce these full, almost chest voice like tones in such high registers as the voice automatically leans more towards softer and lighter tones the higher it gets. But again: This comment should not diss Kiske as he is a true legend and one of my favorite singers.
@@Heavymetaleternia Yeah, okay, I got the impression that u weren't a fan of Kiske 😥 But I get the same vibe from Erik's covers that I do from Ken Tamplin, if u know him? He's a vocal teacher. He also uses chest voice a lot. And he also sings everything technically perfect. But IMO that's not "better" in these cases 😀💁♂

Thank you Sachiko. It was Jona's idea that I should reach out to Kai and ask him. I met Kai at breakfast in Chile when we played there and we talked a bit. Such a nice guy. So I just reached out to him and asked if he was up for it and he then invited Tim to join as well. Love it.

Erik Grönwall is the Harry Potter of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. The young man who does everything very well to a magical point. He really has a magnificent vocal range and an extraordinary groove. And if that were not enough, he has plenty of charisma and has a great stage presence. Magnificent version of this great Helloween classic.
