    I would love it if pressing the Marker button on the receiver, the transmitter's internal recording will create a new track. This is useful for separating tracks with each recorded take. It would also be useful to set the filename of the internally recorded files.

    I would love to be able to adjust the level of the safety track to more like -10db (or perhaps programmable to any value?) than the current -20. While I understand the value of the current setting, in my workflow, mostly studio face to camera, the safety track would be more beneficial just a bit under the main track. Cheers for the video - this is a great product.

    I use this product specifically for live-streaming, and normally connect the audio from USB-C to USB. It would be nice if the gain adjustment affected the output via USB-C as well as the 3.5mm. Currently, the gain adjustment only affects using 3.5 mm output.
    Personally, I have found it to be very useful to use USB-C output on the transmitter versus the 3.5 mm output.

    Loving these new Rode items! I have 2 suggestions for the Rode wireless go II. 1. I want to carry only the 2 transmitters, with Always Record set, to carry around for stereo field recording. Can there be a way to sync them together later so I have a stereo field recording? 2. Can there be a way to use the indicator light on the transmitter to indicate when a transmitter is recording? (Maybe if the lights are color changing LEDs)

    We still need to access the recording files from the ios app, either ipad or iphone, most of use use these on the go. Another suggestion is to have a setting where the receiver is registering input from the camera and when a video recording happens to trigger a new sound recording on the transmitter . I know we have markers, but this would make managing files much easier and would be a gamechanger feature.

    SUGGESTION: "Standby mode" with ultra low battery usage (that can be configured in an app or program after what time receiver and transmitters to go standby - SEPARATELY CONFIGURABLE! ). In addition to that, via 3,5mm jack, receiver should be able to receive a signal from camera when it start recording and to wake the receiver and transmitters from standby and start recording immediately.

    Any chance of a firmware update to control the recording on the TX's? A lot of wasted recordings to go through to find the actual pieces required. Only option is either always on or Backup which starts recording when the RX is turned on yet we may not start recording immediately... Should be an option to press the power button twice to start recording and press twice again to turn off?

  • @GerbendeJong
    @GerbendeJong Před 2 lety +1

    It would be great if the transmitter/microphone has a small speaker that will give a small chirp or beep when you turn it on and sounds again before powering off. I use these microphones as standalones only and I've had it happen many times that the microphone I'm wearing has powered off somewhere in the middle of my recording. If I hear the beep instead of having to look if the light is still on would be a huge plus!
    Also it would be great to have gain control on the transmitter itself with two dedicated buttons (+ and -) with a small LCD that shows the value for 3 seconds when pressing the + or - button.
    These would be for a newer model obviously since firmware updates cannot help the device grow new buttons.

      The thing is... I want to connect only the Rode transmitter to an adapter, and than the adapter to the sound men's mixer, so the Rode transmitter can record a live concert from the sound men's mixer regardless to the Rode receiver.
      Like you can do with a Zoom device.
      Rode adapter is a male adapter, and I think that's mean it can only let out information, and NOT get information from a mixer device. So I'm not sure the adapter will work because it is built to let out info, and not let in info.

    I have just discovered after great frustration that you cannot mute individual transmitters in merged mode while they are set to always record.
    You need to set them to backup or off.
    Works fine in split but then you only have left and right channels which is useless for streaming.
    Selected recording delete would be good too.

      It will show that they are muted but audio will still come through.

      This is only when in merged mode.

      Hey there DShack, that's a great question as the technology in a 2.4GHz WiFi device and the Wireless GO II are similar in some ways. However, the only way to use RØDE Series IV transmitters is with RØDE Series IV recievers, which can be found in the Wireless GO II, the Wireless ME, the Wireless PRO, the Streamer X, the RØDECaster Pro II, and the RØDECaster Duo. Note that these devices can use two transmitters at one time, except the Streamer X, which can only use one.

      This is a good suggestion! We do currently have RØDE Connect available for free for computers, but not yet iOS or Android.

      Yes, you will need to use the SC15 or SC19 cables which are Apple-certified Lightning Accessory Cables in order to connect the RØDE Wireless GO II to an iPhone.

    I wish the safety track would directly be recorded in the transmitter and still be able to do split mode.
    Plus the ability to get the audio files without needing the Rode Central app. This is important when working with an editor on the fly e.g. Same day edit during a wedding.
    Also, fyi the Rode Central app and desktop app keeps crashing.

      Thanks for the feedback Paps, we have recently released version 2.0.6 of RØDE Central which we'd recommend updating to if you haven't already!

    Hello! Can you say, how can i chande a level of internal recording? Or it have same level as external recording?

    • @rodemic
      @rodemic  Před rokem

      There’s no way to have two separate sets of levels for onboard and in-camera, however you can activate the safety channel to ensure you don’t run into any clipping, check out how it works here: rode.com/en/user-guides/wireless-go-ii/using-rode-central#:~:text=Always%27%20recording%20mode.-,Safety%20Channel,-R%C3%98DE%20Central%20allows

    • @rodemic
      @rodemic  Před 2 lety +1

      The Wireless GO II has the ability to use a pad on each TX, however there isn't independent gain control.

    The 32 bit float has already saved my audio on a project. It really works as such a cute field tiny recorder. I'm excited to try it with an ntg mic as a wireless boom. And can't wait for Colors 2

    Unless I'm wrong, or late to the table, you need a Rode USB-Lightning cable to connect the Rode Mobile app to the receiver. This, in my humble opinion, is a travesty. Don't be like DJI, GoPro and others in requiring your faithful customers to buy proprietary hardware from you to make your products work as they should!
    My second point would have to be, if there are two versions of audio quality available; "Broadcast" and "Compressed", why then would the compressed mode be, as you say, able to deliver a "broadcast quality in this mode"? Hmmm?
    I'm not trying to nitpik here, but these are issues that bother me. I love my Wireless Go ll mics, and I SO appreciate Rode's rocking updates on this extremely good hardware, but seriously, these issues need to be addressed. I spent good money on a great data USB-Lightning cable that I won't get back because there was no mention anywhere about needing a proprietary cable to use the app. Otherwise, I'm super happy with these mics!

    • @rodemic
      @rodemic  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Maksuel! We would recommend using the VXLR Pro instead of the VXLR as it provides a balanced XLR signal, that allows for the best performance with the RØDECaster Pro. So, you would need 1 x SC11 and 2 x VXLR Pro's for this setup. Make sure that the Wireless GO II is in Split Mode as well!

    Does anyone have recommendations on how I can stop getting feedback from one of my Rode Mic Go II's? One works wonderfully, with clear and crisp audio, but the other mic seems to have a constant ringing feedback sound, and I'm trying to see if there are firmware updates, or any other links I can check out where I can have this problem fixed:). Thank you to anyone for help on this!

      Hey there, if you're after the dual set and purchased a single transmitter set, we'd suggest returning it (if able) and buying the dual transmitter set instead, as we don't sell the transmitter units separately.

    What is the best decibal on rode go 2

    • @rodemic
      @rodemic  Před 2 lety

      This will depend largely on what you're recording, so testing your transmitters at around the sound level you will be recording and monitoring the indicator on the receiver to see if the levels are too high (or low), then adjusting the sound sensitivity to accordingly via the sound pad is the way to go!

    How do i connect 2 receivers to a camera?

    • @rodemic
      @rodemic  Před rokem

      One way is to use something like an SC11, to join the receivers, and feed a stereo signal to the camera. However, each RX would have to be in Merged Mode, for both mics from each set to be fed into camera. We recommend having 'Always' internal recording enabled on the TX units, so you can edit subjects separately later if need be. (Plus it's great to have backup audio anyway).
