- So excited to release these vlogs/food videos from Japan!!! This is the first of a 7 part series of our trip to Osaka, Nara and Kyoto during the Chinese New Year. It was a trip for the books. I apologize again for the audio during the first few clips I was still using my canon point and shoot camera but I bought a new microphone once I arrived to Osaka (although I don't know how I feel about the audio on it either, let me know below). Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe! :)
In this video we visit Kuromon Market, Osaka Castle, Dotonbori and a few restaurants.

The scallops looks so delicious. All the street foods there in Osaka looks yummy. Love to visit soon. Awesome vlog. ☆♡☆
Camera work is super sharp with great images. Nice commentary too! Thanks!
Loved the views of Osaka castle. I was able to see there, explore around & going up to the top level allowed way back in early 2012. It was pretty cool. Several other sights were equally very nice to see around Osaka & Kyoto area.

Thank you so much Ally:) stay tuned for more vlogs from Japan!
you making us hungry but great and informative videos...
Luke, it's nice you are sharing your food/travel vlogs in Japan. However, it would have been nicer to quote us the prices of what you ate so the viewers, meaning me and the others who have never been to Japan would know how much it cost to eat there. The turo you ate is one of my fav Japanese sashimi.
I love your content. So many of these videos are so disrespectful of the local cultures. You're a refreshing change. Stay nice. :)
Thanks Dawn!
Another great video. Thanks. I'm gaining weight just watching all that food. :-)
haha thanks Bentcy! The food really was delicious!
I've been in Japan for 6 months and still haven't gotten the chance to visit Osaka/Kyoto... really wanna go though!!!
Hey TokiYuYu you should definitely go to Osaka and Kyoto, we particularly liked Osaka and thought the food was amazing, but we also loved Kyoto. And don't miss Nara if you're going to be in that area!
We will definitely go check it out soon! Maybe during cherry blossom season!
I think that sounds awesome! It may be busy with tourists though!

Oden is a healthy dish and if the potato is replaced with turnip or carrot and with less salt, it will be better. If you go to Malaysia or Singapore, try the Yong Tau Foo dish -not the meaty ones but the original one with mostly raw vegetables stuffed with fish meat and slightly boiled served in broth (USD$4), something like an oden, a healthy dish that helps you detoxify and lose weight if you go without the noodles.
Wow! that sounds delicious :)
nice video i like it 😍😍😍
Visit yokohama next time bro! It'll be awesome and there's lots of food to 😂
wow id love to!

Hey Luke tried to find out where that last izakaya place is but couldnt find it. Would you be able to sort of describe where abouts on dotonbori it was?? thanks!!
Hey mimi I hope this helps -
Address: 2-6-10, Sennichimae, Chuo-ku, Osaka-shi, Osaka
Open hours: 5 pm - 1 am daily
Website: tayu2.com/
How to get there: The location of Tayutayu Nambasennichimaeten (たゆたゆ 難波千日前店) that we went to was right across the street from Dotonburi. You can get there easily from Nipponbashi station.
All these foods !
+Sylvia Lehman mmmm they were so delicious!
Hey Luke I'm Bianca I love your videos your so nice and I love watching you go to different places also I know and go to school with your sister Gabi and I know your brother sam
superb , i like Japanese food :)
I love Japanese food :):)
Nice videos, I just found your channel and subscribed. Keep up the good work. Quick question, how much research did you do before you headed off to Japan? How did you guys decide on the location of the airbnb?
We usually do a lot of research prior to our trips! We picked a central location for our stay in Osaka! Dontonbori area!
Awesome, do you think it was difficult to get around Japan without a guide? We are debating if we should go with a guided tour package or just explore on our own. We don't speak any Japanese at all.
I don't know what's more appetizing, the food or Luke Martin
goseeGEO lol
Sabrina at the end cracked me up lol wtf
+Big Pig hahaha oops:)
I am off to Osaka and Kyoto, Koyasan and Tokyo as a month trip in 8 weeks and i am so so so excited, mainly for food, even if it will be the rainy season haha! Any suggestions on where I NEED to go? :)
Hey Jess! Check out my other video - czcams.com/video/rgB95Xxphis/video.html for the best things to do in Kyoto. For Osaka, well just eat haha definitely check out the Osaka Castle and Dotonbori!
Amazing! I watched this, but my partner is only 19 so wont be able to drink Sake! unlucky for him, I still can mwaha, also how much Japanese did you know before going to Japan? My degree has taken up all my time and I still barely know the basics! D:
I literally knew 0 Japanese haha I learned how to say hello and thank you while I was there. Don't worry generally English is well spoken in Japan
The legal drinking age in Japan is 20 but if you look like your over the age limit they usually won't ask for ID.
interesting!

Looks cold.
Kind of more, why does she have her shoes on in the house or even on the bed. Japanese normally leave their shoes at the door and use house slippers. I would have caught cracks for putting my feet up on the wall growing up. Different generation and lifestyle. I am born and raised in Hawaii.
you’re not supposed to wear the shoes inside the house
Hahaha she was totally passed out.
haha completely... it was a long day
try to visit philippines next...
Luke is ssoooooooo cute
Geez, people just eat and eat in Japan!
I'm hooked love yals videos,,,,,,,,, Alabama.......usa.......................best on the net...
What camera are you using? :)
Hey Stephanie! Its a Sony a6000 with a 18-105mm lens, I also used a canon s120 point and shoot camera for some of the shots at the beginning! thanks for the comment!
Your editing reminds me of Edgar Wright
Thanks! Im glad you like it, ill have to watch some of his films to compare haha
Do you go to Disney land??

how to describe food being good...."its like butter".....Is butter that good!?
値段が高いですね. 日本だけじゃなくてどこも同じですけど、ここも観光客値段になっていますね。
