The cinematography in this coincidentally (or maybe not) reminds me of that in "The Grand Budapest Hotel"
What a very cool gent. A good concierge who actually takes pride in her or his work is an invaluable asset to a hotel. Sadly, too many simply give out generic advice and sponsored recommendations. Excellent video. 👍
@Tosh T Well put!
What a very inspiring Grand Gentleman! He has the zest for life! And he imparted his words of wisdom at the end of this video.
"It's a constant learning experience. And the moment you stop learning, you might as well stop working."
Heard about him some years ago. Man always been informative and stylish.
Wonder if he is a member of the society of the crossed keys, with notable members like Gustave at The Grand Budapest Hotel
That Guy he literally is, you can see the badges
If only we could hold such an honourable title
I LITERALLY THOUGHT THE SAME THING AND THE WAY IT WAS FILMED IS SO WES ANDERSON
Yes , he had the pin on his lapel . To see another great concierge , check out the video about the Waldorf Astoria and watch their concierge track down emergency face cream for Nicky Hilton .
He has a dog who wears sweaters and a motocycle. LOVE IT! More importantly, he takes pride in his work.
This video reminds me of The Grand Budapest Hotel.
i think that was the point? The cinematography looks like it was copying the style of Wes Anderson
@@stigma4122 cool.
This was like a clip from a movie, music and all, nice work!
I met him while I stayed at The Fairmont Hotel and he’s an icon . True gentleman.
I can't tell if this is a Wes Anderson reference or not
Reminded me of The Grand Budapest hotel
Captured like a masterpiece! One of the best of Great Big Stories!!!
I could watch these videos just for the aesthetics. Love the transitions and the colours, very Wes Anderson. Great work!
WOW... What a gentleman. AND he still rides his old BMW motorcycle !!! God Bless You my man...
Damn. Mr Clean's aged over the years...
0:32 I thought he'll say "I'm America's first mann"
This video just screams Wes Anderson!
This was so wholesome. Thank you.
1:30 Man the yanny court restaurant seem very sophisticated
Suacy B LOL 😂 😂😂
Delighted to report that Mr. Wolfe is still at his post, as of Feb 2022.
This is the job I'm working and studying for. Seeing this video what very heartwarming and motivating, plus I love the Wes Anderson's filming style. Great job and thank you for this good moment !
you know he’s good because I fell madly in love about a minute in
San Francisco looks like such a beautiful place!
This man's class is immeasurable
the grand budapest hotel anyone?
Love it, Mr. Wolfe!
Miss you dearly, my good friend. You are looking well and healthy as always. I see I've aged and you haven't. It's so good to see your videos, and the old haunts--so to speak. Does "she" still walk the halls on the 7th floor? One of these days, I'll stop by for a big hug and a martini at the Big Four. By the way, I love all the Wes Anderson references. The very first time I saw The Grand Budapest Hotel, I said to myself, "That's Tom Wolfe. Wes Anderson just made a god-damned real movie about Tom Wolfe."
Stay well.
Phil
Wow, one of the greatest video so far
Wow, that's brilliant. I love your bike an R60 I thought. When you walked past the stand of trees you could have been in the state Northern Rivers area of New South Wales, Australia.
I thought VoiceOverPete was on the thumbnail for a second... 😂
What a lovely man
That's awesome! Good for him! See, you can get older but you don't have to get old.
I couldn't live in San Francisco though; all I can think about is the smog o_o
what a legend!
So good!
I love this anderson vibe in here
Where can I find more videos
Of this amazing concierge
New York had one. And the palace in sf had one too
A gentleman for sure
Shutout to the Cinch!

My governors name is Tom Wolfe and I’d rather have this guy than him he seems so sophisticated and smart
Lol I thought he's that Voice Over Pete
OMG I stayed here once at the penthouse and i was just showing everyone in my household the pics of the billiard room, library etc. did you know that when JFK stayed there at the penthouse he used the secret door to get privacy from his bodyguards!
I thought it was VoiceoverPete from the thumbnail
Secret door, secret no more!
Ya boi saw this on the tv in a Fairmont hotel lol
wildwideweb Same here.
Yeah same
Mr. Tom wolfe kinda talks like a wes anderson character
Dont judge but I thought the guy in the thumbnail is Voice over Pete lmao
Furiouspete is that you?
Hi
Juan Esquivel Hi
That's the house from Venom?
My goodness. John McCain is back?
1:28 yanny court restaurant
First like
Uly Sakr k
He looks like Micheal Keaton
Is this a Wes Anderson movie
Casey neistat was there!!!!
They don't make 'em like these any more!
Yo this is sick but that is for sure not the best view of the golden gate. Personally I think there really isn’t a best view of the bridge but I prefer the Marin headlands look but even then I can’t choose.
He sounds like Jeff goldblum a little bit
Presidents, Entertainers...What about Casey Neistat? He stayed there too...
How is he the first?
I heard the word concierge from John Wick

Edit: someone is already first so I liked my comment
Blood Suit ok
How'd I even get 5 likes???
I dont understand this at all, how is he the first concierge when there is plenty of pictures and evidence of countless hotels even in the 1920's that had such employees?
A concierge is someone who is an expert of the area and arranges local tours/reservations. I did some digging and apparently Europe had such positions before America did. So, front desk person =/= concierge, necessarily.
Understood. As Lemit, apparently there is a distinction. This surprised me, too.

Chief called.....he said this ain't it
Oh shit I didn’t realize it was dead meme day already
I guess he loves stepping over all the pooh in the streets too 🤣
You lost me at the gay bar.....
A very cultured man. However, his collar and shirt don't match. This goes back to the time when collars and cuffs were separate from the shirt. It was a mark of poverty if your collar and cuffs did not match the shirt. This is really only of significance to those (very few) who care.
And to think it was made by HRH Prince Charles shirtmaker (check out the shirt he wore on his wedding day) . . .
That hotel looks terribly outdated.
it's historic....
@@kylem1112 Haha, good one.
I pictured such a self-important man to have a better-fitting suit...
Hi
Luxinare Hi
This guy looks like Dwight D. Eisenhower.
