Seems to me that you ignore many scriptures OT and NT as well as promises from Jesus Himself. It's not going to be a secret and this was taught and understood by the writers of the scriptures as well as many throughout history. So let's go through some scriptures that you didn't discuss. John 14:1-3, and Revelation 3:10 direct promises from Jesus. Isaiah 26:19-21, Zephaniah 2:1-3, Matthew 25:1-13. These are just a few of the scriptures that need to be looked at and considered when comparing scripture with scripture. Zechariah 14 makes it clear that when Jesus returns to rule that the Saints return with Him which is also confirmed by Revelation 19. Without getting into it too much I have a question for you, In Revelation 4 John is caught up in the spirit and describes what he sees in Heaven, and in chapter 5 there are the redeemed from every tribe tongue people and nation and they are about to watch the Lamb open the seals, who are these redeemed that have been made kings and priests and shall reign on the earth and are excluded from going through the tribulation period? Also, why would Jesus promise that He would go prepare a place for us come again and take us to that place? When do you believe that will be fulfilled? Hope to hear back from you.

But the rapture isn't "Him coming back." It's us going to Him. When He comes back, he comes with all those He raptured to make war against His enemies. So, the question still remains, what will it be like when WE get caught up to HIM? Will it be like when He ascended, where nobody but those who believed saw Him?
@@tettognetwork5729 the New Testament was written in Greek and translated to other languages of the time. English didn't exist back then. In English it's "caught up", in Latin it's "repere". The Greek is "harpazo" and means "to seize, catch (away,up), take by force. This word is derived from another Greek word "aihreomai" which means "to take for oneself". In this scripture 1 Thessalonians 4:17 the dead and living will meet the Lord in the air. I don't really feel the word rapture is misleading but I do feel this video is. He only mentions a couple scriptures and skips a lot of scriptures that need to be looked at in order to understand the topic in a proper way.

@Desire Of All Nations, some preachers started calling it the secret rapture because Jesus said we won’t know the day or hour. The secret is the timing. Nobody teaches that Jesus said he was going to slip down from heaven and back again silently, so people who go around refuting that idea are refuting their own straw man idea.

Rapture is a mystery and will only be revealed to those who are filled with the Holy Spirit so as speaking in tongue. How can God allow his child to go thru the great tribulation?
@ruth bateau No one I know of teaches you won't have trials and tribulations. Until the devil is cast into the lake of Fire, there will always be tests and trials and storms. Look at Paul, everywhere he went, the devil was a thorn in his side. Stirring up protesters against him. People rejecting the gospel. Enoch was rescued out of, Noah went THROUGH. Daniel was rescued out of, Shadrach, Meschach, Abednego when THROUGH. So God has the pattern of some going out of, and some going THROUGH. The church goes out of the earth in the PreTribulation rapture, Israel and the unbelievers go THROUGH the tribulation and get rescued at the noisy, violent Second Coming when Christ comes back. Lot's wife could have avoided the tribulation, but she did not because of her longing to stay. There is still time to be in the Enoch, Lot group and avoid the tribulation. But God will not force people to go up on the "first load".

The antichrist is already here but waiting on the right time for him to surfaced and what is happening to the nation of Israel is telling us when it will. The people of God will be taken away and the world will be ruled by the antichrist. This is when all the lukewarm Christians and the unbelievers will go thru the great tribulation. I am with him up to 12:17 and ONLY to 12:17. He seems to reverse the original course of a rapture ( being saved/rescued out, and now states that if you're " left behind " you are the blessed one? I truly love how he explained the " HIS-story " of how we got the false teaching of the " secret rapture, however, at the end , as I said, he says that the ones that remain , are left behind , or "overlooked" are the blessed. Thanks for publically addressing this and eschatology related topics. I come from a Baptist and Pentecostal background so some of the doctrine that the Seventh Day Adventist church teaches, I don't agree with. I do however appreciate the importance and timeliness of this subject. Many pastors and preachers seem to shy away from end-time prophesy or take bits of important and relevant scripture way out of context. I don't claim to be a Bible Scholar, and I am aware that you are addressing a specific question. My concern is that the Biblical knowledge about what is expected of us as Christians through the tribulation aren't forefront. I have no fear of tribulation personally and no faithful Christian should. Jesus showed up to save Shadrach, Meshec and Abendigo in the Fiery furnace. I know that God walks through this time through his spirit in us. What I don't hear about is how important our walk is. If we don't make habits of walking closely to produce spiritual fruit, many Christians, I believe they will think Satan is the messiah and never make a stand against Satan. Many will unknowingly take the Mark of the beast instead of the mark or seal of God in there foreheads. We shouldn't ignore Revelations 20. Those who take part in the first resurrection are those who overcome Satan by giving thier testimony and even their lives for Jesus. Christians aren't equipped mentally or spiritually for this because of false teaching and the famine for the truth (Amos 8:11). Remember in 2 Thessalonians Chapter 2 that Satan comes first and God will send strong delusion to those who don't have a love of his word. We as Christians shouldn't sugar coat, ignore or falsely teach the end time prophecies God is against false teachers (Ezekiel 13). We need to work and cultivate a discipline with self first then our brothersand sistersin Christ, working to serve others not self, and boldly taking a stand for Biblical truth not traditions of men. Iron sharpens iron.

@@FunnyVideos51836 actually that's not true. While there are few and not many,I have actually heard God's word taught outside a seventh day Adventist church. Also You say that if I am a true believer, that I should understand the verse you share. I agree with the verse. Jesus also said that you will know them by thier fruits. God gets to decide who is a "true Christian" we can discern but the fruits of the spirit are the opposite of the fruits of the flesh. The law is definitely important but I think that Jesus points out consistently that love is the primary and prerequisite for producing spiritual fruit. All of the commandments are based on loving God and loving your neighbors. I do agree that there is alot of perverted views and twisted doctrine taught to suite the traditions of men. Jesus said you will know them by thier fruits.

1 Thes 4:13-17 is the second coming with the only resurrection for the saints which is on the last day, last trumpet (John 6:39-54, 11:24, Rev 20:4-6, 1 Cor 15:52). Luke 17:22-37 is the pre-trib rapture without a resurrection. Life is normal (eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building, and weddings), there is a flash of light and dead bodies. Pre-trib we leave our flesh on earth (Luke 17:37). We get a heavenly body in heaven (1 Cor 15:40). Maranatha!

It's so simple to understand, the rapture takes place on the "LAST" day. John 11:24 “Martha saith unto him (Jesus), I know that he (Lazarus) shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” The last day means the last day or the last year most likely the "LAST" day which will be at the end of the tribulation.
Hi Pastor Doug, love your sermons, but have a suggestion for more accurate context regarding 2 Corinthians 11:13,14 quote. I think it’s extremely important to quote the pretext of this scripture, which starts at verse 12, “ And I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under those who want an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they boast about. For such people are false prophets....” verse 12 gives context for the meaning of verse 13,14. That’s all, God bless.
Why calling secret rapture,, it's not secret it's a mystery and only the Spirit of God reveals. As a Gentile I am well prepared for the rapture because this is my opportunity. The second coming is for His very own the CHILDREN OF ISRAEL...that's when his very own who still don't believe and still waiting will see Him appear in the clouds and at the very last minute will be saved. THis are the people of the covenant. As for us Gentiles this is our very hope where apostle Paul calls THE BLESSED HOPE... why would I go through the great tribulation? Excellent Wema. Those calling it a "secret rapture" hate the PreTribulation rapture. We are really talking about two groups that get saved. The Church, which gets removed before the tribulation. Israel. The scripture says all Israel will be saved. They will see him whom they pierced and mourn for him (like a long lost son). At the second coming, the new believers from Israel will be gathered by the angels to Jerusalem from the four corners. This is Matthew 24:40. It sounds like a "rapture" but it is not. So just like Joseph had two "brides", Leah and Rachel, the analogy is similar. Israel will no longer be called Forsaken. The Church is NOT Israel. If you will, the Church is Leah (the last desired, but the first married) and Israel is Rachel (the first desired, but the last married). Remember the scripture says, the first will be last, and the last first. Now you know what he meant. Was Joseph an adulterer? Figuratively there are two "brides". The church (leah) will spend 7 days (years) in heaven before Israel (Rachel) "makes herself ready". So when it says in Revelation "the bride has made herself ready", this is Rachel. The church has already been married seven years prior to the end of the tribulation. This is why people mix up the two comings. Because there ARE two comings for TWO BRIDES. I will put on my helmet and shields up for the comments on this one.

My babtist church preaches the pre tribulation rapture .. My Catholic friends say tribulation then rapture .. i dont know where you got the information from . Its the other way around where i live
Pastor Bachelor, you are truly a sound bible teacher and I highly recommend you. So are you saying that Jesus' second coming is literal, visible and audible? If that is so, then the rapture of the saints will not be secret.
It's not a secret rapture. It is hid from those who do not really believe. It goes like "Oh I believe in Jesus but I draw the line where it comes to people literally vanishing from the earth That just can't happen"

He says the (church) when he came the first time made the mistake of thinking he was going to come back riding on a White Horse but the church wasn’t established yet christ was still dealing with the jews. When the catching up ( or the Wedding of the Bride),, it is to take His bride away from the Wrath of His Father. 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10. Also,, It is a Nazarene wedding - please look it up ( Jesus spent around 26 years in that place for this reason). Also, we are caught up to Him - Jesus DOES NOT COME DOWN TO THE EARTH, So this is NOT the second coming of Jesus Christ to the earth as The Messiah. After Rev 3 the church is never mentioned again ( since we are already in Heaven) the rest is about the Tribulation and the Jews ( The two witnesses to them and the 144000) - all for them. Read the Bible in context and you will see that the Messiah comes at the end to judge those who failed to NOT refuse the Mark of the Beast. The Tribulation Saints ( who died) are looked after and so is the Bride of Christ ( who has spent 7 years in Heaven with Him). Then the wedding feast will happen - yes then the Lord's Millennial Reign!
People want to believe in the rapture because they are scared to face what's coming and don't want there faith to be tested. Why should any one of us have it easier than the apostles and disciples had to go through? Matthew 10 vs 16 to 23 ESV Matthew 13 vs 28 to 30 jesus is obviously saying in this vs that we will all go through the tribulation when he says to the end. The rapture is not biblical. Matthew 13 vs 37 to 43 the end means the end.
Very informative thank you so much.. i am a newborn Christain and still learning a lot and so I have a question I am a bit confused on. If the second coming of Christ is the final opportunity for man and that is it and when judgement will happen then I am wondering about in the Bible when it says Jesus will reign for 1000 years after all this happens but then at the end of the 1000 years the devil is released one more time to gather some more people to take to hell with him i believe it says. So wouldnt those people have gotten into the 1000 year reign to begin with and what would cause the devil to then be able to claim there souls at the end of the 1000 year reign? Is there going to be a way for people to turn against Jesus during the reign and those are the souls the devil will be able to claim when he is released one last time or am I totally confused on the whole thing? :) thank you in advanced for helping.

Hey Doug. I agree that Jesus will be coming at the 7th trumpet and that is before the plague starts. So the Church will be taken at the 7th trumpet right? And not after the plagues as you've said in the video.

John18:20 Jesus said that in secret he does nothing. Also, Luke 8:17 How does God feel about keeping secrets? Ecclesiastes 12:14. Luke 12:2 says there are no secrets that will not be revealed, Matthew 10:26-28 elaborates on the topic saying that what God whispers to you in the dark he wants revealed in the light. God is forthcoming with the things that we need to know. He is the revealer of secrets: he told Elisha the plans made against the Israelite army in secret so much so that they ,the Syrians ,thought there was a spy in their camp. 2 Kings 6:8-23. Let us not forget to whom the secret things belong: Deuteronomy 29:29 "The secret things belong to the Lord our God , but the things that are revealed belong to us and our children forever, " Why do they belong to us and our children forever? Jesus, like a thief, comes at a time when we know not. If we knew when a thief would try to break and enter, we would have a way in place to prevent it. Surely the first appearing of Jesus was for a warning that we may believe on Him and that day of His second coming not catch us unaware who by faith are looking for it. We will all see Him on that day, some to everlasting life, some to everlasting contempt in the judgment of the wicked at the end of the 1000 yrs. We can know that all will see Him when He comes for His people because the wicked(Luke 21:26) will hide themselves in the rocks when they see Him. We, on the other hand,(Luke 21:27-28) shall lift up our heads and look up to see our redemption drawing near. The rumbling of the earth breaking all around us causing heart failure in the wicked surely expresses Gods revelation of His coming as no secret. We will feel it, hear it, see it, and maybe even smell and taste the repercussions in the dusty air around us.

There is an end time seven-year tribulation in Daniel 12 but not Daniel 9. The seven years already began this past Fall. So, if there was a pre-tribulation secret rapture it would have already happened.
One more too, Doug. Are Sunday keepers going to Hell? Why or why not? I would think the corporal death punishment foreshadows the spiritual death punishment but at the same time it seems a little extreme to send that many Christians to hell
Why add to what the Bible says. When Jesus was taken up by a cloud I believe that is exactly what it was. When He comes back it will be on a cloud. What is so hard about believing Jesus can stand on a cloud just as easily as He walked on water?

Seems to me that you ignore many scriptures OT and NT as well as promises from Jesus Himself. It's not going to be a secret and this was taught and understood by the writers of the scriptures as well as many throughout history. So let's go through some scriptures that you didn't discuss. John 14:1-3, and Revelation 3:10 direct promises from Jesus. Isaiah 26:19-21, Zephaniah 2:1-3, Matthew 25:1-13. These are just a few of the scriptures that need to be looked at and considered when comparing scripture with scripture. Zechariah 14 makes it clear that when Jesus returns to rule that the Saints return with Him which is also confirmed by Revelation 19. Without getting into it too much I have a question for you, In Revelation 4 John is caught up in the spirit and describes what he sees in Heaven, and in chapter 5 there are the redeemed from every tribe tongue people and nation and they are about to watch the Lamb open the seals, who are these redeemed that have been made kings and priests and shall reign on the earth and are excluded from going through the tribulation period?
Also, why would Jesus promise that He would go prepare a place for us come again and take us to that place? When do you believe that will be fulfilled?

But the rapture isn't "Him coming back." It's us going to Him. When He comes back, he comes with all those He raptured to make war against His enemies. So, the question still remains, what will it be like when WE get caught up to HIM? Will it be like when He ascended, where nobody but those who believed saw Him?
I think the word RAPTURE in itself is misleading. we should just stick with what the scriptures say, CAUGHT UP!

The Greek is "harpazo" and means "to seize, catch (away,up), take by force. This word is derived from another Greek word "aihreomai" which means "to take for oneself".
In this scripture 1 Thessalonians 4:17 the dead and living will meet the Lord in the air.

@ruth bateau No one I know of teaches you won't have trials and tribulations. Until the devil is cast into the lake of Fire, there will always be tests and trials and storms. Look at Paul, everywhere he went, the devil was a thorn in his side. Stirring up protesters against him. People rejecting the gospel. Enoch was rescued out of, Noah went THROUGH. Daniel was rescued out of, Shadrach, Meschach, Abednego when THROUGH. So God has the pattern of some going out of, and some going THROUGH. The church goes out of the earth in the PreTribulation rapture, Israel and the unbelievers go THROUGH the tribulation and get rescued at the noisy, violent Second Coming when Christ comes back. Lot's wife could have avoided the tribulation, but she did not because of her longing to stay. There is still time to be in the Enoch, Lot group and avoid the tribulation. But God will not force people to go up on the "first load".

The antichrist is already here but waiting on the right time for him to surfaced and what is happening to the nation of Israel is telling us when it will. The people of God will be taken away and the world will be ruled by the antichrist. This is when all the lukewarm Christians and the unbelievers will go thru the great tribulation. This is a time where you and I don't wanna be, we rather take the first flight out. The second coming is for is very own the CHILDREN of Israel. I am with him up to 12:17 and ONLY to 12:17. He seems to reverse the original course of a rapture ( being saved/rescued out, and now states that if you're " left behind " you are the blessed one?

Thanks for publically addressing this and eschatology related topics. I come from a Baptist and Pentecostal background so some of the doctrine that the Seventh Day Adventist church teaches, I don't agree with. I do however appreciate the importance and timeliness of this subject. Many pastors and preachers seem to shy away from end-time prophesy or take bits of important and relevant scripture way out of context. I don't claim to be a Bible Scholar, and I am aware that you are addressing a specific question. My concern is that the Biblical knowledge about what is expected of us as Christians through the tribulation aren't forefront. I have no fear of tribulation personally and no faithful Christian should. Jesus showed up to save Shadrach, Meshec and Abendigo in the Fiery furnace. I know that God walks through this time through his spirit in us. What I don't hear about is how important our walk is. If we don't make habits of walking closely to produce spiritual fruit, many Christians, I believe they will think Satan is the messiah and never make a stand against Satan. Many will unknowingly take the Mark of the beast instead of the mark or seal of God in there foreheads. We shouldn't ignore Revelations 20. Those who take part in the first resurrection are those who overcome Satan by giving thier testimony and even their lives for Jesus. Christians aren't equipped mentally or spiritually for this because of false teaching and the famine for the truth (Amos 8:11). Remember in 2 Thessalonians Chapter 2 that Satan comes first and God will send strong delusion to those who don't have a love of his word. We as Christians shouldn't sugar coat, ignore or falsely teach the end time prophecies God is against false teachers (Ezekiel 13). We need to work and cultivate a discipline with self first then our brothersand sistersin Christ, working to serve others not self, and boldly taking a stand for Biblical truth not traditions of men. Iron sharpens iron.

Also You say that if I am a true believer, that I should understand the verse you share. I agree with the verse. Jesus also said that you will know them by thier fruits. God gets to decide who is a "true Christian" we can discern but the fruits of the spirit are the opposite of the fruits of the flesh. The law is definitely important but I think that Jesus points out consistently that love is the primary and prerequisite for producing spiritual fruit. All of the commandments are based on loving God and loving your neighbors. I do agree that there is alot of perverted views and twisted doctrine taught to suite the traditions of men. 1 Thes 4:13-17 is the second coming with the only resurrection for the saints which is on the last day, last trumpet (John 6:39-54, 11:24, Rev 20:4-6, 1 Cor 15:52).
Luke 17:22-37 is the pre-trib rapture without a resurrection. Life is normal (eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building, and weddings), there is a flash of light and dead bodies.
Pre-trib we leave our flesh on earth (Luke 17:37). We get a heavenly body in heaven (1 Cor 15:40). Maranatha!
The second coming and the rapture are not the same thing. Let's talk more on this.

It's so simple to understand, the rapture takes place on the "LAST" day. John 11:24 “Martha saith unto him (Jesus), I know that he (Lazarus)
shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” The last day means the last day or the last year most likely the "LAST" day which will be at the end of the tribulation.

I think it’s extremely important to quote the pretext of this scripture, which starts at verse 12, “ And I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under those who want an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they boast about. For such people are false prophets....” verse 12 gives context for the meaning of verse 13,14. That’s all, God bless.
Why calling secret rapture,, it's not secret it's a mystery and only the Spirit of God reveals. As a Gentile I am well prepared for the rapture because this is my opportunity. The second coming is for His very own the CHILDREN OF ISRAEL...that's when his very own who still don't believe and still waiting will see Him appear in the clouds and at the very last minute will be saved. Excellent Wema. Those calling it a "secret rapture" hate the PreTribulation rapture. We are really talking about two groups that get saved. The Church, which gets removed before the tribulation. Israel. The scripture says all Israel will be saved. They will see him whom they pierced and mourn for him (like a long lost son). At the second coming, the new believers from Israel will be gathered by the angels to Jerusalem from the four corners. This is Matthew 24:40. It sounds like a "rapture" but it is not. So just like Joseph had two "brides", Leah and Rachel, the analogy is similar. Israel will no longer be called Forsaken. The Church is NOT Israel. If you will, the Church is Leah (the last desired, but the first married) and Israel is Rachel (the first desired, but the last married). Remember the scripture says, the first will be last, and the last first. Now you know what he meant. Was Joseph an adulterer? Figuratively there are two "brides". The church (leah) will spend 7 days (years) in heaven before Israel (Rachel) "makes herself ready". So when it says in Revelation "the bride has made herself ready", this is Rachel. The church has already been married seven years prior to the end of the tribulation. This is why people mix up the two comings. Because there ARE two comings for TWO BRIDES. I will put on my helmet and shields up for the comments on this one.

Pastor Bachelor, you are truly a sound bible teacher and I highly recommend you. So are you saying that Jesus' second coming is literal, visible and audible? If that is so, then the rapture of the saints will not be secret.

It's not a secret rapture. It is hid from those who do not really believe. It goes like "Oh I believe in Jesus but I draw the line where it comes to people literally vanishing from the earth That just can't happen"

When the catching up ( or the Wedding of the Bride),, it is to take His bride away from the Wrath of His Father. 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10. Also,, It is a Nazarene wedding - please look it up ( Jesus spent around 26 years in that place for this reason). Also, we are caught up to Him - Jesus DOES NOT COME DOWN TO THE EARTH, So this is NOT the second coming of Jesus Christ to the earth as The Messiah. After Rev 3 the church is never mentioned again ( since we are already in Heaven) the rest is about the Tribulation and the Jews ( The two witnesses to them and the 144000) - all for them. Read the Bible in context and you will see that the Messiah comes at the end to judge those who failed to NOT refuse the Mark of the Beast. The Tribulation Saints ( who died) are looked after and so is the Bride of Christ ( who has spent 7 years in Heaven with Him). Then the wedding feast will happen - yes then the Lord's Millennial Reign!

People want to believe in the rapture because they are scared to face what's coming and don't want there faith to be tested. Why should any one of us have it easier than the apostles and disciples had to go through? Matthew 10 vs 16 to 23 ESV Matthew 13 vs 28 to 30 jesus is obviously saying in this vs that we will all go through the tribulation when he says to the end. The rapture is not biblical. Matthew 13 vs 37 to 43 the end means the end.

If the second coming of Christ is the final opportunity for man and that is it and when judgement will happen then I am wondering about in the Bible when it says Jesus will reign for 1000 years after all this happens but then at the end of the 1000 years the devil is released one more time to gather some more people to take to hell with him i believe it says. So wouldnt those people have gotten into the 1000 year reign to begin with and what would cause the devil to then be able to claim there souls at the end of the 1000 year reign? Is there going to be a way for people to turn against Jesus during the reign and those are the souls the devil will be able to claim when he is released one last time or am I totally confused on the whole thing? :) thank you in advanced for helping.

Hey Doug. I agree that Jesus will be coming at the 7th trumpet and that is before the plague starts. So the Church will be taken at the 7th trumpet right? And not after the plagues as you've said in the video.

Jesus, like a thief, comes at a time when we know not. If we knew when a thief would try to break and enter, we would have a way in place to prevent it. Surely the first appearing of Jesus was for a warning that we may believe on Him and that day of His second coming not catch us unaware who by faith are looking for it. We will all see Him on that day, some to everlasting life, some to everlasting contempt in the judgment of the wicked at the end of the 1000 yrs. We can know that all will see Him when He comes for His people because the wicked(Luke 21:26) will hide themselves in the rocks when they see Him. We, on the other hand,(Luke 21:27-28) shall lift up our heads and look up to see our redemption drawing near. The rumbling of the earth breaking all around us causing heart failure in the wicked surely expresses Gods revelation of His coming as no secret. We will feel it, hear it, see it, and maybe even smell and taste the repercussions in the dusty air around us.

There is an end time seven-year tribulation in Daniel 12 but not Daniel 9. The seven years already began this past Fall. So, if there was a pre-tribulation secret rapture it would have already happened.

Why add to what the Bible says. When Jesus was taken up by a cloud I believe that is exactly what it was. When He comes back it will be on a cloud. What is so hard about believing Jesus can stand on a cloud just as easily as He walked on water?
There was no Church the first time Jesus came.
