    This is a very easy tutorial. You mentioned in the comments that you used 1.5 meters for each cord, making them 75 cms when folded. That is for this particular hangar. I don't know how long the finished hangar is, but adding the plate and pot will make it shorter.
    I suggest that beginners use these measurements to make a test hangar and see how they like it. If you want it shorter, cut shorter pieces. If you want it longer, cut the cords longer. You can also add a simple 3 strand braid, cord, or decorative chain at the top to make it longer.
    I like how the process was clearly explained while flat on the table.

    The best I've watched, you do great work, with both macrame, and with sharing how it was done. Others go too fast, and seem to forget, not everyone knows how and is looking to learn something new. Thanks for sharing!

    You need to state the length of cord to cut, otherwise you won't have enough to finish the pot holder & the cord is expensive, if you have to buy extra cord in Australia. Apart from that, it is a very good tutorial.

      First measure the height from the place where you will hang to the height where your hand reaches to give water. Take extra 1/2 meters or little more for nots. 😊

    • @eURBANORGANICGARDEN
      @eURBANORGANICGARDEN  Před 4 lety +3

      Any particular measurement does not work, it depends on the spot or hook where you want to hang it. While taking measurements, you will get the idea. Check where your hands could reach to the planter, mark the place on the rope to put knot. Leave extra rope for putting end knot. Try this with a thin and normal rope to get an idea.

    • @themisfitsdarling4751
      @themisfitsdarling4751 Před 2 lety +2

      Cut each rope twice the length you want it to hang. So when each rope is folded in half it is the desired hanging length.

      @eURBANORGANICGARDEN  Před 2 lety

      Yes, before folding. After folding length will be 75 cm. Mine are more not 1.5, because I wanted to hang it close to the curtain pole.

    @varshavaswani5582 Před 3 lety

    So this is one of the easiest macrame plant hanger videos ive come across. My biggest problem with this video is no measurements were included. Not even in the description. This is not user or beginner friendly AT ALL for that matter. My advice to the content creator is, think about your audience please.

    • @eURBANORGANICGARDEN
      @eURBANORGANICGARDEN  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you so much for adding your view dear. ☺️ But adding measurements can add even more confusion. Because, I have no clue where the audience is going to hang the planter. The height that I have chosen is not the same in your case and my measurements could be invalid for every individual. So, if you want a hanger which you can hang or remove easily without a chair or something, then take shorter ropes. Else take longer ones if you want to fix it.
