Some shit I happen to know:
1. The corsets first supported the bust, not make the waist look smaller.
2. Before synthetic dyes were made purple was a hard color to get a hold of. The color was only affordable for the rich and wealthy, so I assume we LOADED!
3. Purple was made by using the mucus of thousands upon thousands of snails.
