This phone is built for people that go out hiking, mountain climbing and other stuff that entails you needing a waterproof, dust proof and anti drop phone, you can have a galaxy s8 or an iPhone 7 as your primary device but when you go out and do some of those activities pop your sim card from your primary device into this phone and after finishing those activities put the simcard in your primary device. That is the use for this phone.

I got one of these a few months back to use as a permanently bicycle mounted device. It's been pretty good except that the battery drops off super fast below 60%. Probably just a capacity reporting error. It's great for what I use it for.
Lew here in India we have Jio phone. Phone with 4G, Wifi and all. 23 USD. Try it.

If it had a usb c instead of a micro usb I would buy one. Just to use it as an external screen for the DJI OSMO pocket. I would just dedicate it to that one purpose. It is big enough to be more useful than the built in screen on the DJI and cheap enough I wouldn't give a shit if the usb c port went bad.

honestly for a person that needs a rugged phone that barely needs a smartphone it would be good. use it primarily as a phone, check an email once in a while. i had a sonim for a work phone and i used it like i described but it was a bit heavy and big. this could be a good replacement for a sonim user. great video as always though!

It's most likely for people who work on a construction site or wherever like that, plumbers and so on, it seems like a strong durable phone made for making calls on a construction area and taking a few pictures that don't have to be of good quality

What mini rugged smart phone that you would recommend for sports and outdoor backup phone to carry in case of emergency?
I recommended this to my friend because she was almost abducted. keeping this on your person, off, as an emergency backup seems reasonable. This one is small and can probably be hidden in a ladies pocket. Once an abductor finds one phone and tosses a purse I doubt they would look for more. And this thing is probably enough to dial 911.
