    Borrowing or securing loans for dead refineries which pass for scraps don't make sense to me. Nigeria should cut its losses on the refineries, instead of pouring more funds into them. Those facilities, maybe except for the one in PH, are scraps. They should be sold to "iron bennders" to to dismantle and use the metals for something else.
    Even if they manage to get them running, they will continue to break down. By the way, why continue to pour funds into them? I would rather the govt increase its state im Dangote refinery to 20% with the momey that is being wasted on those sick refineries. The govt can also negotiate with Dangote refinery to offload another 15-20% stake to be sold to Nigerians via the NSE. This will address the security and monopoly concerns of the refinery.

    • @bafeiles
      @bafeiles Před měsícem +3

      It was the same Nigerians that shouted when Obasanjo regime originally wanted to sell the Port Harcourt Refinery to Dangote.

    I know Dangote has some monopolistic tendencies, but I've chosen to look beyond that and focus more on individuals in this country who works so hard with foreign agencies to see that Dangote refinery doesn't come to full capacity, which is one of the reason you see the sabotages left, right and centre.
    Just imagine the direct and indirect jobs that would be created around this refinery when in full capacity, the wealth creation.
    To throw more light on how badly foreign agencies doesn't want this refinery to work, they resorted in using one of our finest investigative journalist David Hundeyin, but unbeknowest and quite unfortunately for them, David extracted all the vital information they want him to use to sabotage the Refinery investment by Dangote via the climate change route, stating that, "Dangote refinery is terrible for the environment because of Environmental Concerns" David decided to expose them for who they're while holding them to the jugular.
    Again David has shown his patriotism not just to Nigeria but to Africa in general.

    I suggest your guest Emmanuel, should be appointed to head NNPC. He knows his stuff. He makes a lot of sense unlike the current NNPC head.

    Atiku model on his manifesto, is the right way to go… he talked about selling equity to raise money for its operations, Atiku manifesto was more detailed and realistic, I urge the president to please n please be patriotic, and succeed… am sure he knows everything mentioned by kelvin… it’s just the political willingness that’s lacking
