Hi………
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🎹🎸🥁🎼
Roy Wood is one very talented musician . From the Move onwards and still going, this is one of my favourites,
Roy Wood is a founder member of ELO and is behind much more than we know - a unique talent is Woody - to come up with fire brigade in under 2 hours - on a train !!
Boulders is one of the great forgotten albums of the 70's.
Very talented fellow ❤
@@theblackstridersofficial2562point of clarification. Jeff Lynne and Roy wood were together in the move also in idle race back before the move. However after their last single together which was California man and Roy wood going to form wizard and Lynn farming ELO.
Thiago em.ima Fabricia que Wagner está etc banheiro com cocô de xixi mas todos a paz de Deus amém.o tempo de esperas
In Summer of 1973, when i was 14 years old, it was a number one hit, great times!
This was the very first thing I saw on colour TV. This very video. I was in hospital and the TV was right next to my bed. To see Wizard in full colour for the first time made up for being in hospital. We had a B&W TV and I didn’t want to go home! 😩
.
BRING BACK THE 70S
with you...
Music yes fashion and taste no
@@Freddie1980 not sure about that.
I remember this so well. Brilliant. What a great era to grow up in.
retro man And then came wizzard classic glam rock 😛
Fabulous, the crazy world of Roy Wood, absolutely love this fun and happy song
Why Roy Wood has not had a Knighthood is beyond belief..his musical ability is way beyond todays so called pop stars...
Multi talented..multi skilled musician..
He has regularly refused honours
@@margin606 Yep I think he's still annoyed for losing his royalties to his Move songs due to a stupid publicity stunt his manager pulled.
He is a far-right r.sole. f him.
@@heraldeventsandfilms5970 Hater!
He was inducted into hall of fame with ELO
fantastic performance by a fantastically talented guy! Brings back such good memories of a life we will never see again!
It sure does, and we won’t best decade for music and being young,👍
I was 8 years old when this song come out still remember in 2024 where has all years gone
The 70's was a magical land where current day rules don't apply
Said Jimmy Saville
Imagine trying to get off some of the early Humble Pie, Rod Stewart, Blondie, Webb Wilder lyrics in today's toxic arena?
@@dickfitzwell8275 there are many lyrics from the past that would make many a Millennial/Zoomer sperg out.
@@LordEriolTolkien One of my toe tappers is "Red Light Momma"/ Humble Pie. Dig up the one here that has lyrics. Even they had to be cleaned up for the tube. They have "wears hair nets on her armpits..." wrong--the true lyric is "wears panties on her armpits". and the other real lyric is"has nut crushin' boobs and 42 hips." And best of them all---"she works from east to west and deals in blue veined flutes"
There wasn't drugs back then ... only alcohol 🍺
Love this. Roy Wood had been around before this came out. An extraordinary person.
Was 12 when this came out, still one of my all time favourite songs, still dance around the house to it❤😂❤😂
I do too. I am in your age group and Wizzard were such a fun lively nice band. Isn’t it interesting that still after all these years we both still really enjoy the music of the early 1970s and we are proud to do so.
@@martinraynes8892 Wizzard, Sweet , Suzie Quatro.,Slade, they don't make them like that any more
Das ist keine Musik mehr. Das ist schon eine richtige Hymne. Gewaltig.
My favourite Wizzard song...great memories of 1973 💞
Same here, Harvest records, played on my red and cream mono record player. I was 13, now I'm 63 and still love it❤️😎
Yup 63 also, where did it all go to........
Probably the best pop song ever.
Unbridled joy...my memories of watching T.O.T.P 's with my brothers and sisters and watching our Dad seething with anger and going purple " there're wearing makeup, they are poofs, what the hell !!!.
Still makes me giggle.
Love it. Johnnie XXX 😅
We had better hair and makeup than the girls those day's, all good memorie's from that era, keep enjoying.
Thank god we had WIZZARD................makes whats happening today seem tame.................
How was Roy Wood able to come up with this track. This alone puts him the category of “Genius” regardless of whether you happen to like it or not.
Love roy wood awesome artist
Even better live, especially when the two drummers got going. Those were the days!
For some reason this reminds me of The Tomorrow People, School & Look-in magazine. Great memories.👍
Roy Woods has written some really great songs “Songs of Praise” is my favorite. Forever is another. He is a complete origional
Best years of my life ❤❤
Had no idea until now that he sung this live. Not many do that anymore do they!
1971, 1972, 1973, now it's 2024. I was smitten with folly foot.
Oh yeah love this song just fun happy times
the 70 bring me back id go in a flash
When music was music, not like now pure crap.❤❤😊
well at least it's pure.... lol
So true..
Just like your parents said lmao
What better way to spend a friday night than back in the 70's...
Great song! Brings back fond memories of the Glam Rock early 70s era. 🎵

Die beste Zeit des Lebens!
Unvergesslich dieses Lied!!!!!
Roy Wood could play ANY.musical instrument.i was 19 in 1973. 70 now. Urgh I hate it 😅😅😅
It was so much fun in those days I'm 67 now! 😅😊😅😅😊
63 mate, and couldn't agree more, great times
I was about sixteen when this song was out, the whole of my life Infront off me, listening to it now I'm seventy
Stone cold classic from the genius that is Roy Wood
Some musicians like Roy Wood here just have that ability to play multiple different instruments sing and write great songs regardless of what band they are in. Ian Hunter was another in the same mould.
I still like some of the 70s songs. They were fun.
First heard Roy Woods' Wizzard on WMMR in Philly and loved it! Michael Tierson was the DJ that would bring this music to me on the overnight from my indestructible Sony digital AM/FM clock radio. I had no idea Roy was crazy visual beyond glam back then but I LOVED TRex and all those bands with their high pitched near shreiking. It reached something heretofore unknown. That Jeff Lynne got his start here is no surprise. Such a wonderful time in rock music:
Picture quality is very good 👍
CLASSIC
Did you think the BBC used candle light
Music and freedom❤❤❤❤
I loved this song as a kid.
Love this dude...best tunes ever...
I love it, totally amazing
Saw these at Birmingham odeon in 74 I was 16 great memories
Superb
I bet there are some grandkids not believing their grandmas, when they tell them they've been to see Captain Sensible.
This was the first single I ever bought. ❤️
Me too, even though I was into prog. rock
Saw them do this song at Top of the Pops , On a Secondary school visit to the BBC. We had to wear normal clothes of the time.
I was 14 years old
Love this! Thank you for posting. 😊❤️
Props to the guitarist on roller skates for not falling over
A Great Song
I went to the same secondary school as Roy.

What can a man say about Roy wood it would not be sufficient musical genius progeniture of musical styles yes cool dude surely we love you baby rock on baby
Roy used to live by me.
love roy wood xx
Wizzard great group
Still great innit 😆🍺
Roy Wood vs Jeff Lynne - the race for the perfect 70s symphonic pop template. Roy struck first and with great aplomb but somehow Jeff took the crown. Lennon and McCartney at least stuck it out for 10 years. If only...
You know the backstory yeah? He and Jeff L were always competing for control. And I agree, it’s hard to judge comparatively. Jeff L actually announced on a pommy “Bandstand” of sorts in 1972 that Roy W wouldn’t be required for their impending USA (world) tour.. Cold ? Maybe. Personally I think ELO were brilliant and it’s hard not to rock when you hear the 2 big Wizzard tracks. I have wondered over the years what they could’ve created had they came to an understanding
Jeff and Kelly are closer to Lennon and McCartney IMO. Jeff and Roy only collaborated for like 4 years and didn’t really achieve much success together
❤Good song
I bet if U evea watch diz Roy it givez UA grate fellin, az it duz me.
Pardon??
Loved Wizard fun band Roy Wood wrote brilliant songs also for his first band The Move and his solo career, Rick Price on roller stakes 😅
My sweetheart
First week at no.1☺☺
Co-founder of ELO, Annie Haslam’s boyfriend, a true Wizzard.
He was the only artist in the 70s be with two groups and then go solo
Nightmare fuel!

Free to be happy
This very same Roy Wood stole my better halfs autograph book when they were staying at the North Eastern pub when performing at the Globe in Stockton-On-Tees. According to her she asked him to sign the book and didnt give her it back. This will have been some time in the 70s. Shame on you Roy.
The primates wisely decided to unmask so that one day they could prove to their grand-kids that yes, they were there!
who played guitars?
what the actual hell was the 70s on
💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕🤘
There is no point to songs like this anymore , modern songs do not need introduction (intro), verse, pre-chorus, chorus, verse, pre-chorus, chorus, bridge, and chorus.
Modern songs use the Splodge Method and if you listen you can hear the drone that tells the audience to switch on their phone and use the built in torch app.
Sounds like a Phil Spector production
1.6k Babies jived
Noch fetter arrangiert als es Phil Spector gekonnt hätte! NO 1 in September 1973 in England...
Seevmy baby jive a song needs to be revisited it as the same stuff as waterloo sunset by the kinks
Nooo! See My Baby Jive is 5:15 not 3:30. You can’t cut it short.
