1965 nothing but his talent you don’t have this kind of talent today
Some consider this the best live performance ever ...no auto tune, no re-takes, no gimmicks ..pure talent from this "blue eyed soul" countertenor .. love your reaction
...and he wasn't professionally trained. And Bobby was a little sick and out of breath. Stunning.
Bobby didn't just sing this song. His voice became another instrument of the orchestra. He added to the melody of the music that a man made instrument could not.
No Auto tune/Pro Tools. No mixing boards. No gimmicks. Just Bobby and his tiny microphone. This will always be Bobby Hatfield's song. RIP.
The greatest performance in history .
Agreed! Bobby Hatfield counter tenor was one of the greatest singers in Rock & Roll history.
His parents were in the audience ...his mom had never heard him sing professionally. he nailed it for her...the studio recording is nowhere near this performance level...Bobby Hatfield's 's performance here is for a all-time...he's 25 here,. He died at age 63 in a hotel on tour with Bill [the other "Righteous Brother" in 2003. in Kalamazoo MI. Before a performance. I almost bought tickets to the show because it's only 50 minutes from my house. I didn't, was too busy. I cried the next morning when I heard the news, I grew up on this music, and was a music teacher. It is a miracle they taped this performance and SAVED it, and people are STILL discovering it. it's like from the grave he is showing young people what great music is. Good lord this was 58 years ago!!!!
Wow❤
Wow!
It was 58 years ago, but remember that good music never dies and never goes out of style. That's why it has become a classic in the truest sense of the word.
All women have the exact same reaction to this video.
Makes it look effortless.
Bobby Hatfield is a tenor who understands the lyrics of "Unchained Melody", and has rendered it better than anyone who tried to sing it, especially Elvis Presley. This song belongs to Bobby Hatfield, although Harry Bellaforte sang it in 1956, Hatfield embellished the song with a pure heart, full of lilt and notes and making it personal to whoever hears his singing. It is forturnate that this tape of Andy Williams was preserved for posterity to future generations of music lovers.
It is amazing to see his breath control when he sings.
Pure talent.
1965, live, no auto tune, 4 octaves, perfect pitch and tone , hmmmm dare I say, mic drop moment? Not Bobby Hatfield he was too humble.
More of a pants drop as the ladies must be mesmerised by his voice.
I see her trying to hold back falling for Bobby and his blue eyed soul music, but he got you!! ❤😊
The Righteous Brothers knew how to speak the language of women
THE LATE GREAT BOBBY HATFIELD AT HIS BEST! UNTOUCHABLE! 22 NOTE CHANGES AND 3 OCTAVES!
Pure blue eyed soul. The best.
He's like angel 😇 singing 🎶
Was a Black soldier who gave them their name, club cheered them.
Damn'''''''' he has a hypnotic voice'''''''''
so good one of a kind rest in peace bobby
Every woman loves slow dancing to this song with that someone special. This became the anthem of our soldiers in Vietnam for their wives and girlfriends to be waiting for them when…if…they can home.
1965 a live television performance no auto tune , no lip syncing just a very talented guy with a mic and a band .. that kids is pure talent and probably the best live tv performance in history RIP Bobby Hatfield
Respect❤
This is almost 60 years ago and hasn't been topped since!
This is the type of music that sings to your soul!
Thanks...one of the greatest songs ever by the great Bobby Hatfield
Perfect one-word reaction - effortless - perfect ❤
This song was best sung as a solo. Bobby delivered.
One of the greatest singers of all time.
Her reaction is so adorable. My wife just goes into a trance when she hears this... that boy sings to your soul. Legend!
One the greatest performances in the history of popular music!!
raw talent, no tech...perfection
As much as I hate to say this , but I remember watching this live on tv, but I think we still had a black and white tv ......
And our " land line " was on a party line .
Good grief, times have changed so much...
The incomparable Counter Tenor Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers sang this song "Unchained Melody" composed by Alex North with Lyrics by Hy Zaret (1955) then anyone has ever done. Performed 58 years ago back in (1965) on the Andy Williams Show. This version of "Unchained Melody" by Bobby Hatfield has become the standard that every singing artist since has used. Priceless!
👏🏿🦋👏🏼👏🏾👏🏽💙
Its called blue-eyed soul. Bobby Hatfield made this song the classic it has become.
I saw that on TV when I was sixteen.
You can see the two reactions. She is just melting. Dude is like " Damn it! Hatfield!"
Still gives me chicken skin and tears. I watched it live on my black and white TV also!!! RIP Bobby. You’ll never be forgotten.
Your faces! This performance never fails to reach the heart!
His name was Bobby (Bobby Hatfield 1940-2003) and with his pure talent, he took unchained melody to a very high level. May he rest in peace and may the earth be light for him. Indeed, we are dust, nothing but dust (by the way, isn't it written: "you who admired me yesterday, do you know that I will be dust forever tomorrow?"). Rest in peace Bobby; Amen
I love the honesty in your faces when you review this one. God bless you guys.
58 years ago, in (1965) on the "Andy Williams Show." Bobby Hatfield of the "Righteous Brothers" gave the greatest (live) television performance of all time. The host of the show Andy Williams said it best. Beautiful...
❤❤❤
I can see the surprise on your faces. God speed your love to be is the best part. Know never mind it's all beautiful. Great song.
No studio no electronics or anything to help his voice just god given talent keep up the good work and your reactions are like 🍒 on top stay safe 🤠
This song just does something to women. It’s amazing.
Lol🥰
It does something to men as well.
That is multi dimensional art
The late, great Bobby Hatfield (aged 25) giving one of the most iconic live performances ever captured on film. His mother was in the crowd and he was nervous. You can sometimes see how nervous he is. In those days, there was no autotune, you just had to take the mic and perform. You had to be able to do it live. A lot of people have covered this song, but no one will ever do it the way this man did. If you have ever seen the movie "Ghost", it's featured pretty heavily.
One of the most beautiful love songs ever sung! I’ve loved it from way back then!
Thanks for that. Very nice
Classic performance that should work last forever.
Thanks for inserting "work" incompetence AI ! Fuck !
They're not really brothers, you know. They just sing like it! ❤
The first time this video popped up on my phone 3 yrs ago, I was blown away. I always loved the studio version, but this is more dramatic ending is much better. I usually end up in tears because shortly after I got married in December of ‘66, I considered Unchained Melody “Our Song”. My husband wasn’t really into dancing, but he always danced with me to this song because he knew how much I loved it.
I love seeing young people of today raving about the music of “my day”!
Greatest love song. Ever. 💞💞💞💞💞🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
It is truly amazing how many different performers and bands have heard this version and decided it was worth covering.
To your credit, as totally bored as you looked, you did not fall asleep and leave her to do the reaction by herself.
Excellent reaction, centered on his extraordinary capacity to express feelings, thank you!
Beautiful heartfelt reaction to a masterpiece of vocals and music! Ty!
Beautiful performance!!..
The one & only Bobby Hatfield.....
His parents were in the audience, & he was sick with s cold.....Hitting those high notes😊.......
One of the best!!
Thanks so much for posting.🎵🎵🙏🙂
Watch the as they sing “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling” in black and white!
There are many beautiful songs by the Righteous Brothers.
i feel this had to be a solo song , because it's a personal song from a man to a woman, truly a once in a lifetime performance to hear but you never want to stop hearing it.
Just beautiful, perfection, love and romance rolled into one performance.
Incredible ❤❤
Lovely appreciation of a great artist and a great song. Thanks for the great and honest reaction.
Good song and singer
For all the obvious reasons it's amazing as a live performance but it was also recorded so well that the audio could be used as if it had been recorded in a studio. I don't even think the audience made a sound except to applaud...
I just looked down your reaction videos and did not see any Tom Jones reactions. Do your self a favour and look him up you will not regret it. He is a masterful singer who held sway over his audiences and drove very many ladies wild. He sang with many of the greatest solo singers and is still singing today. His powerful voice has been known to break microphones and catch sound engineers who don't know him already, out by it's sheer power. If you ever watched "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" you have already heard one of his hits "it's not unusual" many people call it the Carlton song.
😂😂😂thank you, I will use this Favour
I think there’s a bit of Johnny Mathis in his voice.
🎶🫂 A lotta close dancing to, a lotta stops to sing along, teen couples at the top of their lungs, a lotta years ago..❤️
You should listen to Austin brown sing it from home free. On CZcams it’s title unchained melody like you’ve never heard before. Trust me
😍 Your grandchildren will have the same reaction. Timeless !
Can't wait!❤
Goosebumps = la piel de gallina. This is one of the best love song of the music history. Grettings from Spain.
Hi from Nigeria 💕
Great reaction. To hear both 'brothers' check out You'll Never Walk Alone!
Listen to EBB tide too by Bobby Hatfield of righteous brothers
Beautiful couple
The lady is stunning
We are friends, thank you.💕💕
Going to subscribe just because you did not pause of talk over the song once. Well done!
Thank you 💝
Well done for giving your reaction after listening to the whole song. Every time I hear this it creates a whole lot of emotion.
You have a good woman, take care of her and love her.
wonderful reactions ,played it right through before stopping, looks like you had to stop yourself crying
Hold her!!!
Give a listen to the history of this classic song to hear some of the 1,500 version of this song some of the singers just may surprise you. Nice reaction 👊🏾🎶👍🏾
Their music was called Blue Eyed Soul. They are equally talented and not real brother’s. Try You’ll Never Walk Alone.
Beautiful Romantic Song. I really, really enjoyed it very, very much. If you find and have the time could you please play another one of my favorite romantic love song called "Too much Heaven" sung by The Bee Gees. I will appreciate it so very, very much. Thank you. Have a Blessed Evening. Adios.
I'll check it out!
During the introduction you can hear Bobby speaking with laboured breath as he was unwell with a heavy cold. And then he delivered a wonderful interpretation of this song. Bill played the piano for it on the record.
A top Australian singer who is known as 'The Voice' is John Farnham. Please check out his songs with his band, singers and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Always see and hear him LIVE where his Soul shines. There are lots of videos of him on You Tube.
Thank You. Could You react to the song "" Don't Make Me Over "" by Dionne Warwick.
Wenn man Bobby schon sprechen hört...😊😊😊😊😊
The Righteous Brothers were auto-tuned ... In utero
Bobby was blessed with a great voice and his style and charm and personality made him the exceptional entertainer.
Nit brothers just the name of their band
Coin toss to see who would sing!
Was er und das Orchester da zusammen schufen......ist nicht mehr irdisch😮
Was that an uncharacteristicly restrained Hal Blaine on drums?
Sogar Männer schmilzen bei Bobby dahin😅
You can't teach that
