You can tell Keanu can pick up on vibes and was like "These guys have some strange energy to them" but was still super polite in answering their questions. Maybe these guys were just nervous.

Keanu isn't a short guy, but the interviewers make him look small, maybe it's just the camera angle.
No max is a very tall dude over 6 foot
The beginning of this clip seems like a scene from "Being There", with Keanu as Chauncey Gardiner... he's not really giving any deep/meaningful answers but the interviewers are so desperate to read profundity into his words. He's just a guy who doesn't know how to answer every question, not an oracle to be stared at in awe.

Seriously the guy uses. Check out some other older interviews and see how much he touches his nose. There's one where he gets interviewed about his motorcycle and he can't stop going "sniff, sniff" every 5 seconds. He got much better at hiding it though.
