- This is filmed on a Ford Focus 2015 but Ford Fusion and Mondeo at least have the same dial for headlight control.
It's so annoying not having automatic lights but you can actually just leave the lights in the on position when you park. The car will beep when you open the door but the lights don't stay on so you will not run out of battery. 👇👇 Buy something and support the Homeneer channel 👇👇

Very good info. I'm also in Finland and have (almost) the same car. Thanks!
Hi guys. In my country I must have the light on during the day also. I do have the AUTO light option on my Ford Focus but it goes on only during the night so your solution is great. However, I have a new problem: how to we stop the annoying warning sound? It drives me crazy....
Will that turn on the light on day time as well?
I do that so thanks but am looking at some way of turning the chime off cause I don’t need warning as lights will turn off in couple of mins when I leave car
Yes that would be nice. Don't have a solution for turning off the sound.
Mine Focus has the same switch, but when I set it to O postion it will turn the lights on, and shut off when engine is turned off. So it acts like automatic light on/off. But I admit it's strange, because at that O position, I can not turn on high beam, I can only flash, and those won't stay on constantly. So, when I'm on dark road, and want to use high beam, I need to turn light switch you described to on position first.. I'm not sure if my car is unique case..

What's the sign on the left to which the dial doesn't reach? On the left of off/daytime lights option
It's just a generic bulb icon saying "this is the light switch". I understand the confusion considering the placement, Fords without manual adjustment have it in the middle, many other cars just next to the button instead of on it.

so if the lights dont remain on after the ignition is off what is the purpose of the alarm?
The lights on your dashboard won't turn off, only the head and rear light. So I guess the car is telling you that you will be greeted with a drained battery in a few days if you leave it like that. I don't like this at all with my Ford. It's so stupid not having it as standard to turn off all the lights when turning off your car. Never been met with this before and I have had some old plain cars before that did the job just fine.
Did you find any solution for the auto light to switch on off when is dark?
In Finland I need to have lights on always when driving even during the day when there is light. So the solution on the video works for me. I don't think there is a solution to turn on only when its dark
Same for Ford S-Max 2016

Please send solution I have same problam
Hello! May you know that I don't... My van (2021) has a bright sensor so screen changes colour about exterior brightness, but it hasn't auto lights (looks like a joke). I would like to have auto lights and I think if I change the switch I could plug it to the screen brightness sensor... Does Someone know about it? Or maybe I just have to buy a new switch with own brightness sensor...?
you should be able to buy the unit for the lights (one with auto lights option) and once you switch them you should be able to plug and play
Just found out that you can modify the existing light switch and get auto lights. It requires that your car has a light sensor on the dash. You have to take the switch apart and remove to stop inside
That's cool. Any link with instructions?
Hy. Mate do you solve this problem? How i can send you pics of my sensor i am not sure i have it or not 🤪

@@Homeneeryou’re welcome
I'm surprised government regulations allowed cars without automatic headlights into countries with rules on daylight headlight use.
What are those 2 buttons from the left for ? I have Focus 3 and i dont know what are them for.
Fog lights
Sehogy, ha nem szenzoros a tükör és nincs AUTO állás a kapcsolón.
Wrong, the parking lights will stay on if you leave it switched on with the engine off, and it will drain the battery.
I tested it on my car and parking lights didn't stay on. In which model & year did you try it on?
@@Homeneer car dashboard light will not be OFF
@@Homeneer on my 2010 fiesta the parking lights will stay on even with the engine off and doors locked
I understand this is a mandatory feature on all new cars.
how to tune on to the eco
Yeah - that's why they're called PARKING lights !!!!!!
Didn't quite understand this comment
If it drains my battery I will find you :)
That's funny 😂
So, did it drain your battery?
@@DDrVostep not sure, I sold that car
Stalk is better
Whats that?
Wtf😂😂😂😂
Did it work for you
Wtf ????
Not sure what you're referring to
Not very helpful at all. What about the issue with all the lightning on the dashboard still being on when having it in the lights in the suggested position. The car lights up like a stupid christmas tree when it's dark outside or when in a garage when you have turned off the engine and locked the car. The whole dashboard goes jingle bells. And I guess that get its power from somewhere, like the battery. Have the car like that for a few days and you will get a drained battery..... I think this is stupid of Ford, not having all the lights turn off automatically in all cars. Never had a car before that lacks that basic thing by default. *End rant*
