Easier to get a new account as a non content creator. You could always try to call their customer service but if you live in EU that might end up costing more than a new account. Assuming they even take your call and don't just tell you to use their bot system...

Blizzard doesn't struggle to ban the bots. They struggle to make it look like they ban the bots so that they can do it in big waves with high numbers just before they do a sale (I wonder why they would do this? Really makes you think).
This is an important and correct point that you raise. Blizzard customer service is really embarrassing and bears no relation to the monthly costs we pay. 15 years ago I was happy to pay the €12 a month, but today I feel sorry for the money.
When I was about 14 I got a wow sub with a prepaid visa card and it took a few weeks until I realized the payment for my sub extension hadn't gone through. I had already thrown the card out because I thought it was used so I contacted support and the support member who contacted me gave me 20 days free just for the misunderstanding. This wasn't even that long ago around wod/legion but nowadays you would be lucky to even hear back from somebody who isn't a robot
12 euros go to plunderstorm and cata classic development, sod was all developed for free you didnt buy an expansion as they would gladly sell you 5 years ago, now the games focus on *microtransactions* *battle passes* and blizzard for some reason is afraid that if they dont do 5 game releases per year they will lose their customers, wow customers are addicts who would never quit for blizzard bad service, unless they get banned in the first place

I too remember the golden era when you could have someone on the phone after talking to a GM in game, they trick us into thinking they care recently with their "here is our team look how we work on the game and care about the community" type video and then you get hit with thoses fugazi bot responses for a perma ban smh

I had a friend that worked in Blizzard's customer support team. All was good, people were happy. The office got closed, everyone got laid off and work got moved to India. So, you got Indian templated.
My main account that I've had since sunwell was retail got banned for what i can only guess was playing for like 28 hours straight? So i started SoD all over from scratch. Now I've been waiting 3 weeks for any response whatsoever about my second account that got banned for no reason. Blizzard can suck it.

This happened to me after coming back after 3 years of not playing. The reason was gold selling. After spamming blizzard with tickets they unbanned me. I saw that I had two characters on WOTLK classic which I never played, probably someone got my account information and used it to sell gold. The question is how? I think someone at blizzard sells the information on inactive accounts
GM's would even come INTO the game and interact with you on occasion. I remember having one come and fly around my guild during a raid that bugged and he also transformed some people into leper gnomes. This was back in TBC. The game is a husk of its former self.
One of the reasons why I stopped playing, there is no customer support. I dont think the subscription reflects the servers themselves either. Then you have to pay for new expansions too while subscribing. It's just an old fashioned way to monetize players, in game shops etc.. - but as soon as there is a problem you get automated answers. I think the reason why Blizzard realeased all this new content coming forward is that they felt forced to by their fans. But look at Warcraft 3 remastered, I think that is a great example of how much they actually care about their customers.

Make a good game and people will play it. Eventually they'll have only a few people playing the game that they can't even compensate with lay offs and micro transactions. Imagine, this game had nearly 13 million active players at it's height, at a time where video games weren't even as big as today. Why? Because it was good quality game, that respected it's players time and efforts.

Exact same thing happened to me a few months ago. Banned by a bot with no explanation other than accusing me of things I didn't do. Took me two weeks to get to talk to a human being, and during that process, my protests were rejected by bots. It was only on the "last appeal" was I finally unbanned. No explanation was ever given or any kind of apology. You nailed it on the head when you said "disrespectful to the customer". Months later and I'm still pissed about it.
A guildmate also got banned for the same reason, he did nothing, the game just crashed, he dcd and got insta banned. I'd rather pay more for the sub than have those automated bans and no customer service at all. I remember when we were able to contact the GMs in game, and they actually helped us. The current state of the customer service is so sad ... :/

I have an old account freeze for more than 13 years for SUSPICION of trading accounts with spectral tiger in it, like i'm gonna do this with this kind of mount in it. When I appeal their only reaction was " If we unfreeze it, it's not respecting the decision bla bla bla ", I never trade it, it was my main account, and they stole it. My loss is like thousands of euros, but nah. They just don't give a F.
They do that intentionally, because a 10 years old account isn't good enough for them. They need old players to spend all those money and resources again...

I had this happen years ago. Took about 6 months off before starting my new account, but it hurt. I almost never came back to WoW. Losing 16+ years of account progress to Blizzard auto-mod features not working as intended really shook my faith in Blizzard, and the bot response telling me to check Wowhead just salts the wound...
Man 2004-2010 was OG days I miss where GM's would whisper you in-game out of blue even while you're raiding. I remember one time I was on Yogg-Saron fight GM message me and he said, "Oh I see you're busy... I'll wait until you wiped or kill him, then we need to talk." I was like "YOOOOO GUYS GM JUST WHISPERED ME!" 😂
The problem is that there are people who have private report bots that will all log into the server and get the person that they want to get banned whenever they want. There are also mass report discords where people coordinate report attacks on people and everyone will log on and get that person banned. I've seen this happen over and over again to a small streamer and he just has to keep making new accounts because he gets report botted over and over on benediction.
I got banned and they diidnt tell me why. Fuck that game! Tickets were just bot responses! They didnt even show me a chat log or anything! I made another ticket today and it was just a bot response. :/
This happened to me also, but not in World of Warcraft, but in Heroes of the Storm, and the support was also a bot, I own every blizzard game, many collector edition wow copies, and I paid real money for every TCG mount and pet I owned. I bought them early when they were cheap, like spectral tiger and other rare mounts, I think I paid $5000 in total and spent 15+ years playing their games, hell even more since the first game I played was Blackthorne, All this just so a Blue Haired employee to ban me over chat in HoTS.

I got perma banned TWICE on SoD for no reason 😂 and I'm a guild master. 2 appeals into the second ban and I chose to walk away. My first ban took 5 appeals and 6 days back in december.
Well done on speaking about this Payo, i got suspended in P2 for 14 days, bot responses i just gave up and unsubbed. All for transferring between my 2 battlenets which are not linked. Not played since, haven't watched any wow vids so no idea why this popped up for me but i'm glad it did.
Same happened to me, I also got banned on my 14 year old account (witch i have had an active sub to the entire time) for hacking/botting and getting pissed up my back by blizzard with some auto messages. It happened at the start of phase 2 and still no human response :(
That's the worst thing about this game. You play the game, grind level, grind gear, grind profession, grind reputation, ect. You get perma ban for "botting" so everything is gone in a second. Meanwhile some people in the player base just RMT their ass off, buy everything, goes from 0 to 60 in 2 sec because they pay carry or they actually bot. I've seen some bots just fly hack ore nodes to ore nodes to farm mining I guess and they are still not banned. MonkaS They need to be more carefull with those reports because this shit is really risky for them, but I mean we all know that they do that... Not PPC It makes the game really not rewarding for the ones that actually plays the game.

I got a temp ban and all my gold taken and levels it provided for professions for buying gold in sod and just quit lol 😅 I sent them a nice message before I departed Ofc for the reason I wasn’t resubbing. I know buying gold is against the rules but the bs part is I knew heaps doing it the different ways without picking up a ban, but I honestly didn’t expect them to be super edgy for bans on sod on all game forms at lvl 25 cap. I couldn’t play heaps to get all the stuff anyway so it was like ah well it was fun while it lasted moment.
I've had my account since original TBC. I got suspended for 2 weeks on SOD for "gold buying" even though i was trading gold between my two accounts when phase 2 came out. Got same blizzard bot message as well. Never responded to me or resolved my account had to wait the 2 weeks out. Missing the beginning of a phase and getting 1 strike closer to perma ban for no reason feelsbadman.
This happened to my 15 year old account in phase 1 of Sod, I tried to appeal it about 10 times but all i got was bot answers, the account is still banned and everything i’ve achieved over the years is gone sadly 😔
Very fortunately for you, you are an streamer and you have the video and influence to get BLZ to unban your account. For me, as an average gamer, I can't guarantee that I'll stay in video mode while I'm playing. I've submitted tickets over and over again, explaining over and over again that I'm not a bot I'm not using a cheating hack, but every time it doesn't work.

There customer service was top notch back then. Anything you needed they helped with. Gamemasters showed up almost immediately after opening a ticket.

It's crazy how many players get banned and the customer service is literally just 2 people with automated responses.
im glad you made this video. i was banned in phase 2 sod for 7 days, blizzard unbanned me on day 6 with apology email and 6 days of game time, i made a video on it. i received multiple bot responses before i finally got a real response.
I'm on day 5 now of being banned for no reason. Hoping blizzard will actually do something.

My account from 2005 got banned for no reason. Never got it back. Glad you got it worked out. How great would it be if this video is what it takes for them to change it.

Blizzard ban ppl for botting but use bots to answer tickets HUH
I have an old account freeze for more than 13 years for SUSPICION of trading accounts with spectral tiger in it, like i'm gonna do this with this kind of mount in it. When I appeal their only reaction was " If we unfreeze it, it's not respecting the decision bla bla bla ", I never trade it, it was my main account, and they stole it. My loss is like thousands of euros, but nah. They just don't give a F.
It's sad, my friend has been perma banned since phase 1...
They do that intentionally, because a 10 years old account isn't good enough for them. They need old players to spend all those money and resources again...
One of my best friends got banned on MOP release. never botted / hacked or watever.

I had this happen years ago. Took about 6 months off before starting my new account, but it hurt. I almost never came back to WoW. Losing 16+ years of account progress to Blizzard auto-mod features not working as intended really shook my faith in Blizzard, and the bot response telling me to check Wowhead just salts the wound...

Man 2004-2010 was OG days I miss where GM's would whisper you in-game out of blue even while you're raiding. I remember one time I was on Yogg-Saron fight GM message me and he said, "Oh I see you're busy... I'll wait until you wiped or kill him, then we need to talk." I was like "YOOOOO GUYS GM JUST WHISPERED ME!" 😂
The problem is that there are people who have private report bots that will all log into the server and get the person that they want to get banned whenever they want. There are also mass report discords where people coordinate report attacks on people and everyone will log on and get that person banned. I've seen this happen over and over again to a small streamer and he just has to keep making new accounts because he gets report botted over and over on benediction.
Since december it's not only a mass report issue

I got banned and they diidnt tell me why. Fuck that game! Tickets were just bot responses! They didnt even show me a chat log or anything! I made another ticket today and it was just a bot response. :/

This happened to me also, but not in World of Warcraft, but in Heroes of the Storm, and the support was also a bot, I own every blizzard game, many collector edition wow copies, and I paid real money for every TCG mount and pet I owned. I bought them early when they were cheap, like spectral tiger and other rare mounts, I think I paid $5000 in total and spent 15+ years playing their games, hell even more since the first game I played was Blackthorne, All this just so a Blue Haired employee to ban me over chat in HoTS.

I got perma banned TWICE on SoD for no reason 😂 and I'm a guild master. 2 appeals into the second ban and I chose to walk away. My first ban took 5 appeals and 6 days back in december.

Well done on speaking about this Payo, i got suspended in P2 for 14 days, bot responses i just gave up and unsubbed. All for transferring between my 2 battlenets which are not linked. Not played since, haven't watched any wow vids so no idea why this popped up for me but i'm glad it did.

Same happened to me, I also got banned on my 14 year old account (witch i have had an active sub to the entire time) for hacking/botting and getting pissed up my back by blizzard with some auto messages. It happened at the start of phase 2 and still no human response :(
That's the worst thing about this game.
You play the game, grind level, grind gear, grind profession, grind reputation, ect.
You get perma ban for "botting" so everything is gone in a second.
Meanwhile some people in the player base just RMT their ass off, buy everything, goes from 0 to 60 in 2 sec because they pay carry or they actually bot.
I've seen some bots just fly hack ore nodes to ore nodes to farm mining I guess and they are still not banned. MonkaS
They need to be more carefull with those reports because this shit is really risky for them, but I mean we all know that they do that... Not PPC
It makes the game really not rewarding for the ones that actually plays the game.

Man that sucks. I got a temp ban and all my gold taken and levels it provided for professions for buying gold in sod and just quit lol 😅 I sent them a nice message before I departed Ofc for the reason I wasn’t resubbing.
I know buying gold is against the rules but the bs part is I knew heaps doing it the different ways without picking up a ban, but I honestly didn’t expect them to be super edgy for bans on sod on all game forms at lvl 25 cap. I couldn’t play heaps to get all the stuff anyway so it was like ah well it was fun while it lasted moment.
Personal GM whispers back in the day were solid.
I've had my account since original TBC. I got suspended for 2 weeks on SOD for "gold buying" even though i was trading gold between my two accounts when phase 2 came out. Got same blizzard bot message as well. Never responded to me or resolved my account had to wait the 2 weeks out. Missing the beginning of a phase and getting 1 strike closer to perma ban for no reason feelsbadman.
This happened to my 15 year old account in phase 1 of Sod, I tried to appeal it about 10 times but all i got was bot answers, the account is still banned and everything i’ve achieved over the years is gone sadly 😔

For me, as an average gamer, I can't guarantee that I'll stay in video mode while I'm playing.
I've submitted tickets over and over again, explaining over and over again that I'm not a bot I'm not using a cheating hack, but every time it doesn't work.

My buddy lost his account hes been playing since WOTLK and he had the same message when he would never risk it like that. he has been getting bot responses for months and still getting them.
One time you could even call Blizz cus service and talk to a human.... this happening in all of their games. Keep it up Payo, need spotlight on this big issue❤
