    That's a good review of the 572xp I agreed on the good and the not so good of this saw. I think it's a solid saw

      Seems great to me. A little bit jiggly, but I have tendinitis from concrete and plaster work, so I’m glad to have the anti-vibe, even if it means missing a few undercuts. I miss anyway lol

    Nice review, i just bought a 572 a few months ago and really like it,i agree the felling dog is a bit small and id like to get a full wrap handle in the future

      If you do get dogs, just keep in mind you’ll want ones that fit the captured nuts.

    Excellent video. I'd recommend keeping the stock filter. These things have about the best air filtration system you can get. Muffler mod is a must, imo. Will help it to shed heat and your saw will actually live longer.

    • @KevinsDisobedience
      @KevinsDisobedience  Před 6 měsíci

      Glad to hear you say that. I just ordered a muffler and some air ports for the plastic filter cap, but I like the filter in this saw. It does seem like it should have more power. Hope the muffler helps.

    • @novicelumberjack
      @novicelumberjack Před 6 měsíci

      @KevinsDisobedience don't do the caps on the top either. I know it seems counter intuitive, but these things actually pressurize your intake a bit with air from the flywheel. Leave the entire air filtration system alone. Husqvarna did a great job with it.

    She sounds & looks good 👍 in the buck 😎 I like 70-90cc saws for the chain speed and power 🔋

      Yeah, those m-tronics crackle a bit without a load, but it doesn’t seem to affect the way it cuts.

      @@KevinsDisobedience I have a 572 full wrap handle bar I would sell you for $40 shipped using pirate ship. My zip code is 61028 in Illinois. It's new never been mounted on a saw.
      I bought one of those West coast kits for the gray clutch cover with the big bucking spikes for my Jonsered 2166.

    Why do you change yer chain with the saw on its side??? It will be very easy to line the chain tensioner with the saw upright while changing the bar and chain.

    Nice, what size bar is that

  • @johngrossbohlin7582
    @johngrossbohlin7582 Před 7 měsíci +2

    I'm curious about your comment regarding the angle of the bar. Is the line between the labels Husqvarna and 572xp on the recoil starter cover lined up with the bar? My MS461 and MS661 have lines molded into, and on the 661 also painted on, the recoil cover that align with the direction of the bar. Perhaps the line on the Husky serves the same purpose, or is it merely decoration? I use those angle guides occasionally but the "top cut first, bottom cut second" approach I use lets me see where the bottom cut is by looking through the top cut kerf. At this point I very seldom need to adjust the aim of a hinge so re-cutting the top cut on rare occasions isn't an issue to me.
    RE dogs... I put big dual bumper spikes from a 661 on my 461 and put double bumper spikes on my MS261 also. I too like double spikes... I find that having them gives better purchase under more conditions.

    • @KevinsDisobedience
      @KevinsDisobedience  Před 7 měsíci

      Not the angle of the bar, just that you can’t see the if you need to loosen or tighten the screw to get the clutch cover on, as the chain tensioner is on the cover.

      @johngrossbohlin7582 Před 7 měsíci

      @@KevinsDisobedience I caught that... The point to which I refer was at about 9:34 where you were talking about bigger dogs keeping the saw away from the tree so you can see the angle of the bar. I took that to mean seeing the bar so you knew more precisely which way it was pointed. No?

      @@johngrossbohlin7582
      Yes, so something I’ve learn from Bjarne is to pull the bar out slightly so you can better gauge where the tip is. Without the dogs, I have to stop and pull the saw out more and more often. Hope that’s clearer.

    • @johngrossbohlin7582
      @johngrossbohlin7582 Před 7 měsíci

      @@KevinsDisobedience Yes, that's what I thought when you talked about it in the video. It's also what prompted my question about the line on the recoil starter cover... When your 500i arrives you will see that it has a "cross hair" on the recoil starter cover. One line is the traditional gunning sight and the other is so you can tell where the bar is pointed. I suspect that whether it points exactly to the mid line of the bar tip depends on the bar length... but it pretty much lines up with the bottom of the bar. Regardless it will get you real close without having to pull the bar out. I'll look at the Husky saws when I'm at the store where my son sells Stihl and Husky saws... I never paid attention to their lines until your video!😉

    Swedish not Swiss. Make great dirt bikes too. Lawnmowers made in South Carolina. Think this equipment is made in soon to be closed Arkansas. Whether that means more good news for South Carolina or China hard to say. Stihl is Austrian and sadly making a big time move to China thanks to the Biden Administration which gives all sorts of free money to Austria which is taking that money and giving it to Iran and China. Great review.

      Thanks for the correction, didn’t realize I said Swiss. Swedes are good lads. Sadly cheap labor is hard to turn down. And we both know, Biden ain’t making many decisions himself these days.
