Her galbladder was removed later. This operation was done in Joensuu hospital Finland. She went to Finland to practice for virtual concert in the end of this month.

Floor Jansen is the third and present singer of the Symphonic Metal band Nightwish and widely considered as the best and most versatile female singer of our time. As I am a Flooraholic from Utrecht, The Netherlands, here is some background information on our Dutch Valkyrie Queen. She joined the band 'After Forever' in 1997 at the age of 16. My favourite song is 'Energize Me'. They made a very beautiful music video out of this. 'After Forever' disbanded in 2009 and Floor started her own band 'Revamp' from scratch. Here she experimented with different vocal styles within one song, such as from full operatic to serious growls in seconds. The songs 'Disdain' and 'Wild Card' are good examples. September 2012 came the call from Nightwish to fill in for the remainder of the American Tour as their second singer Annette got ill. Floor had just 48 hours to learn the whole setlist. There is a documentary made of this world tour ('Please learn the setlist in 48 hours'). The lyrics of the songs of Nightwish are very poetic and the music as a whole is challenging, but Floor pulled it off and she stayed for the whole world tour, culminating in the iconic Wacken 2013 Open Air festival. It was obvious that the combination Nightwish and Floor Jansen was made in Walhalla, so she became a permanent member of the band in 2013 as the relationship with Annette and the band was strained even before she became ill. Floor continued to perform with 'Revamp' for a couple of years, but it became clear that she could not combine the two for much longer, so Revamp disbanded in 2016. Floor did a side project called 'Northward' where she dived into the Hard Rock scene. The song 'While Love Died' is a must see. Her stunning performances on the Dutch TV show 'Beste Zangers 2019' gave her at last some more recognition in her home country where she was relatively unknown until then. There are numerous guest appearances with other bands to find on CZcams. To see how to get a crowd of metalheads silenced and in awe, watch her featuring with the band 'Epica' and the song 'Stabat Mater Dolorosa'. And to see her in full opera mode watch her rendition of 'O Mio Babbino Caro' from Puccini. As live concerts were cancelled and home isolation due to the Covid situation, Floor discovered CZcams in the last year and uploaded many interesting videos on her channel. Mindblowing covers, chats with her idols and other singers, vocal masterclasses and so much more. Also her 'Fan Friday' videos are hilarious. Just unpack some of the presents she left there. Floorgasm alert! Floor is a high sensitive person, so peace and quiet is as important for her. Living by the woods in Sweden with her husband Hannes Van Dahl (drummer of the band 'Sabaton'); daughter Freja (just turned 4 years); a horse and pony; a dog and 3 cats, she found this.

so this is basically Floor Jansen's day job doing mind blowing covers as well as being a vocal coach. you should see her doing her night job as the third and current lead singer of the symphonic metal band Nightwish. Ghost Love Score from their 2013 concert at Waken Open Air in Germany is a good place to start for Nightwish. It should be noted that Floor had only been with the band about 10 months by the time of that concert.

You just heard Floor Jansen (pronounce Yahn-Sen). Although the band is Finnish their 3rd female vocalist isnât, she is Dutch. Floor was born on Februari 21st, 1981 in Goirle the Netherlands. At the age of 16 she started her career as (initially) just as background singer from the Dutch metal band âAfter Foreverâ in 1997 but real soon she took over the lead until early 2009 and the band fell apart. Parallel she studied at the Dutch Rock Academy in Tilburg starting in 1999 where she graduated in 2003 and spent two years on classical training with the National Conservatory. She studied Musical Theatre and one year Opera. She plays guitar, piano and flute and has completed 12 years of music studies. Sheâs a Light Lyric Soprano and her vocalrange runs from E3 to D6. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she gave singing lessons.
On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band âReVampâ, which was disbanded in September 2016. In August 2010 Jansen was a guest in the TV program De tiende van Tijl. In that program she sang an aria by Puccini. From October 1, 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon as the singer of Nightwish halfway their Imaginaerum World Tour. On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she was to become the group's regular new front singer.

Did you say this is the first time you've EVER heard Floor sing??? I'm 40 and have listened to all music my whole life and found her only a year ago and she by far the best female front of any band ever! If you add men I think she's a top 3 of ALL TIME.. Her singing skills are extremely versatile and damn near perfect and her stage presence is unparalleled to almost everyone in history!!! I Think that realy often the Singers are not able to reach die Level, of Singing, a Great Song needed. But here it is the other way. In this song, Floor is not able to show how brilliant she is, because of the Song(Which i realy ike). To Imagine her Potential take a Look at Nightwish

He he! Thank you for correcting me. To my defense, I haven't watched more then a handful of them when I was very young even though I'm an old bat. It's not my kind of music really. When I watched every one had to sing in their own language and there was a bunch of strict rules.
