My husband would also rather play disc golf than board games. 😃 But I’ve definitely spent way more on games than he’s spent on discs and tournaments. Disc golf is a really affordable hobby!

1. I love the two of you on screen together.
2. I LOVE the inclusion of "games" that aren't board games. Each of these things kinna scratches the same itch: community, staying connected, thinkiness, and so on - but are NOT board games. I love the aspect that thinking outside of the box in this way, might help some folks open up a little to doing some things that might "scratch the same itch" but maybe even get them outside!!! :)

Yay for hearing from fellow Pinochle players! I haven't played since my family game ended - 30 years ago now, I guess. I actually just bought a deck because I wanted to be able to play it if ever I could convince enough others.
Good luck. I have never met anyone my age that knows how to play. When I try to reach them, they zone out when I start describing meld.

Nice, thanks for sharing your list of top 10 'games!' I'll neither confirm nor deny that it was 'right' to include other games, but it made for an interesting and fun video! I've been wanting to try Spirit Island. I downloaded the digital app and should at least play that solo!

Although I'm not a fan of disc golf, I respect it being on a list of games. Also, props for mentioning D&D. It does not get enough love on game lists.
In Spirit Island I have played 26 out of the 29 that can be used (Nature Incarnate not out yet). Gonna play 2 more today or the last 3 today. I got the game right after Christmas. My favorite spirit is Serpent Slumbering Beneath the Island…Any elements, energy and presence utility, aegis, reclaims, 2 growth choices, can dish out majors early, can spam a load of majors with 12 energy per turn + 5 from growth. I sacrifice my presence to ravages in order to ramp on my spirit tracks…forgot to mention it’s easy to hit major thresholds, and has innate to blow up towns and cities pretty easily all game. Just feels like it can do anything, and I love it because of how much it has available as well as what it does, and most most because of it’s potential. I know myself to be great force lurking undercover ready to set the world on fire, brewing in power. Our themes match, except I’m not a “snake”, I’m for/with God 😄
If you find Unrelenting Growth, Indomitable Claim, or any way to add presence from tracks or destroy presence on board works too…do it without even thinking about anything else 😮

LOL, I love the ninjaing a top 10 board game list with a video game and disc golf. BTW, there are D&D board games that can be soloed tool...just saying. I recently moved and I am soloing. I haven't played most of these games and will try a few. Thanks!
