The Government of India Act, 1935: The Indian Constitution has borrowed several provisions from the Government of India Act, 1935, which was the governing document of India before independence.
The Constitution of the United States: The Indian Constitution has borrowed some provisions from the US Constitution, such as the concept of a federal structure, the separation of powers, the fundamental rights, and the independence of the judiciary.
The Constitution of Canada: The Indian Constitution has borrowed the concept of a federation from the Canadian Constitution.
The Constitution of Ireland: The Indian Constitution has borrowed the concept of Directive Principles of State Policy from the Irish Constitution.
The Constitution of Australia: The Indian Constitution has borrowed the concept of the concurrent list.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights: The Indian Constitution has borrowed some of the fundamental rights provisions from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
