I just did my first large wedding with a d600/d750 and I'm sold on getting a Z6 + 35/50/85 or maybe switching the 50 for a 24-70 f4 for events.
PS Your videos were a big help in making me feel confident that I could transfer my event photography skillset to weddings. Kudos.

Cole Breiland so your saying that you would prefer the z6 over the D750 for weddings? I really wanted the D750 but if the z6 is better than I’ll get that instead.

Nice gig and execution. I have traveled a lot, 91 countries but 20 years ago moved from the US to a beautiful that highest north of any large city so in the summer, White Nights, the sun only goes down from 02:00 and up again at 04:30 but never really gets dark so getting up at 4 gives a few hours of great light, no cars and people in the iconic travel poster scenes. The cars become a problem by 07:30. That gives me 4 hours of great scenes. Here, it is easier to get people to stay out all night for the shoot than get up early. The main streets and sidewalks are filled it people moving between one club or restaurant to another but you know where they are going to be, so go where they aren't. Rome is interesting but only on rainy cold days since it is ruined by millions of tourists. Same with Paris, the last time either had reasonable tourist density was in the mid-60s. Here in StPetersburg, the summers are dense with tourists in the main historic center but the rest of the year it is relaxed, fun and beautiful. It is not only beautiful but very social and open with refined culture.
The 50 1.8 S is the sharpest lens, corner to corner I have ever used and that is a lot of lenses I have used and owned. I have the 35 but use it a lot less. I am waiting for the 70-200 2.8 S and 85 1.8 S, both should be shipping this fall but the 85 will be in stores first. The 24-70 f/ 4 will have to due for awhile since my lens fund can't get the 70-200 and 24-70 2.8 and still add a Z7. I got a Z7 first but wanted the 6 which was not out yet. The store was ok with the plan to trade it back in when the first Z6 became available. I had the D850 and D800 so really did not need the large files but really could use the excellent low light performance of the Z6 that was going to be the travel and second camera on shoots. After using the Z7 then 6, my plan blow up....the DSLRs sat on the shelf and I started doing everything with the Z6. Overall, my shot rate went way down and my keeper rate went way up. No need for safeties or bracketing or chimping and knowing the exposure and precise framing before releasing the shutter really is a use changing concept. The Z mount lenses are great, everyone one I have used is really good. The only F lenses I have used lately is the 85 1.4G but more often the 1,8G since it is a perfect size and almost as good. I expect the S 1.8 to be the best 85 Nikon or possibly any make, available. The FTZ works well but the chatter from G lenses with VR or just continuous focus motor activity bugs me.

@@TaylorJacksonPhoto How much direction did you need to offer? They seemed to be naturals and her long slim features just looks so feminine in every frame because she bends and flexes every joint as if she had model training. Also, what was your working distance? You did not seem to be talking loudly but apparently close enough for them to hear clearly. It is hard to tell the distance with that very wide field of view of the video.
