Rob as for the music this song at the end is actually a new version of an old Polish classic, and on the official music video i think it shows the creation of Lucy and is still connected to the plot web.

Edytowałem komentarz co by nie wprowadzać w błąd, dzięki za poprawę, nie wiem skąd mi się to wzięło, pewnie stąd że Mishon też się zdarza śpiewać (Voice of Poland) i to całkiem nieźle, w dodatku ma dość podobny głos do Anny Karwan.

Fun fact. In the study of the devil Boruta in the corner there is a hussar armor. Many enemies of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth considered the hussars to be devilish cavalry (even the horsemen of the apocalypse), but also to be angels (due to their wings).

These armours and sabres are there because Boruta was 'a noble devil'. He liked to wear Polish nobles' clothes like 'kontusz' as well.
The text on screen reveals how Bazyliszek and Jaga were basically freed from Hell during the chaos and this leads to their episodes, which also feature Rokita's cameos. He was supposed to have that Nick Fury-like presence and there were talks of a movie concluding all the threads, but sadly nothing came out of it - and his actor, Piotr Machalica, sadly passed away in 2020.
I've heard that it was postponed because Tomek Bagiński was invited to work with Netflix on The Witcher series. I hope he will work on the Polish Legends the movie when he's free again.
Oh Gosh this would be awesome! I always was sad that these series didn't continue. And also frustrated that the whitcher was such a crap and because of it Legendy project was cancelled

1. Female character name is Lucy - short of Lucyfer
2. Twardowski is the only man that outsmarted the devil, Boruta.
He signed a contract with the devil to give his soul in Rome.
Boruta cornered him in a tavern named Rome. On their way to hell Twardowski started to pray and managed to get away and landed on the moon.
3. In Poland we say: "where devil can't manage, send the woman". Devil couldn't so he sent devil woman.
It is packed with nuances.
Aleja gwiazd, Zdzisława Sośnicka, The singer is 77 today. Polish legends have very deep historical and cultural connotations.
"Aleja Gwiazd" was a special cover for Lucy's backstory. In the video, we see her personal story of selling her soul to the devil... ;)

Mrs. Zdzisława Sośnicka will always be mainly associated with this short performance in the film "Akademia Pana Kleksa". "Sad Princess Song", or otherwise called "Farewell to a fairy tale" like no other song takes me every time to this wonderful childhood period that brings tears to my eyes :) And Mrs. Sośnicka was a very beautiful woman and a great singer: )
However, the new version of "Aleja Gwiazd" is sung by Anna Karwan. Sośnicka has a completely different voice. Anyway, the song was heavily improved for the film and music video.

After all those years I'm still impressed by amount of CGI and other visual effects they stuffed in those short series.

As pointed out already - there are two more, sadly not Twardowsky oriented, but with Basilisk and Baba Jaga (considered the best one).
Last scene reveals that security breach set free many slavic deamons.
Series itself was genious, there are also music videos with the modernized versions of polish hits used as background music in those short stories.
Also - almost every actor you can see here is 1st league polish actor with huge experience.

i thing this old borutha's computer is a genius touch. The new shiny colorful tech doesn't go together with an old school underground devil. That''s good for plebs.
The post credit scene is a preludium to next legends: Jaga and Bazyliszek. There also was a rumour there will be a proper movie about this character done by the same director, but unfortunately nothing has come out of it.
Oh, you made my day:. _Duranovius_ (Twardowski) he was actually a real person, a necromancer & alchemist. Responsible for the fire that moved the capital of Poland from Kraków to Warszawa. The 'Legendy Polskie' series of Allegro was a delightful twist of this story.
On the "suicide is a grave sin":
During medieval times (and quite a long time afterwards) it was suck a huge sin, that sinner was declined from being buried in church's cemetery (meaning, you were denied christian burial).
So yes, someone that died of suicide would be treated more harshly than someone that killed other people.
The author of this series is Tomasz Baginski. His short film was nominated for an Oscar (The Cathedral). Bagiński is the producer of "The Witcher" for Netflix. Twardowski is such a stereotypical Polish man - a charmer and a cunning man. Polish women go to heaven during their lifetime because we deal with such Twardowski on a daily basis ;)
In my opinion, swearing loses on translations because the Polish language is colorful when it comes to swearing. Only our Slavic Croatian brothers are better at it :)
I wouldn't be praising Bagiński nowadays though. He basically said that the witcher show is bad because of stupid fans.

Song on the ending is cover "Aleja Gwiazd" by Ania Karwan (originally 1987's - Zdzisława Sośnicka) - Song also has video and tells Lucy story (how she got her powers) in cooperation with Boruta (Polish Devil). I Recommend you should next watch "Jaga" or "Basilisk" by Allegro. I personally love Jaga the most with it's theme song. Good thinking with Black Mirror, those episodes of legends are connected. What Twardowski did via deleting Hells security software was that he let Slavic demons escape. Soooo... Bazyliszek and Jaga next ? ;))

There was supposed to be the whole movie about Twardowsky story in cinemas, but unfortunately COVID hit and then the CEO changed and they decided not to produce it :(
I remember enjoying "Twardowsky 2.0", when I saw it for the very first time and I'm glad you liked it too! Boruta was my fave, it's probably the best role in his actor's career so far, as he mostly plays plain or dorky characters in TV shows.
The main actor here, Robert Więckiewicz is one of the top movie stars in Poland, he's in a lot of good movies, like In Darkness, The Dark House or Clergy and it's amazing they were able to get him to play in a CZcams short film
We should reincarnate this series!
The creators intended it to be an alternative version of reality. There will be a lot of retro-futuristic tricks like this, like this computer screen. It's a bit of a mix of the 90s and the future.

The system that the devil had could send a soul back to the body, the ship that Twardowski was in had a computer with that system and since he saw the pasword during the video confrence with the devil, he timed the rope puling his body and the computer so when he would be back abord the ship his soul will come back to his body

The film studio of the Worner brothers was founded by emigrants from Poland, such a curiosity
6:58 We can clearly see that they are already far behind with tech since they are introducing computers like 40 years after rest of the world did it ;) So i think they don't want to simply jump to most modern tech but want to do it gradually. In previous episode Twardowsky said something like "middle ages" to describe that hell and the devil is generally backward so i think this is consistent. They use ancient technology as they don't keep up with modern times... And of course older computers were more reliable and looks cool :D
But at the same time they use futuristic space crafts. I like the idea that it's just a polish hell department that is behind in terms of burocracy and digitalization and space crafts are given from the hell central :D.
It's rather nice, right? The combination of these little tidbits from the past with futuristic accents... a little briliant I dare say :) Strange at first glance, but somehow it doesn't sting the eyes. Maybe it's not a budget stright from Hollywood but I think there is some potential in such works :) What do you think...? :) Btw Rob, did you checked the original legend's(not coments on them)? If you read about them it would make much more sens and you will see what is different from the new version, it could be fun :)
The film was based on a legend, a children's book called "Pan Twardowski" - I encourage you to read it.

There were plans to make a full-length film about Twardowski, allegro created merch through which they were supposed to raise money to make it, but Bagiński (director) got a job in The Witcher from Netflix and everything went to hell.
The original story about Twardowski, describing his cunning against the devil, is the poem "Pani Twardowska" by the Polish poet Adam Mickiewicz.
twardowski died, in the translation of the commands that run sequentially, you have a transfer of the soul (to hell), then the command return to the body as explained to Boruta that he can do with VIPs. that is, he died and hell did not accept his soul.

there are also few easter eggs, allegro is an IT company - that mainly focuses on creating software so they knew that programmers will be watching at their hands - at 9:08 he types command to "hack" system and they knew that all software engineers will pause at this moment - so they left something that made everybody smile who paused (feel free to check it - it's just a message written like something that looks like a command that would do something). Second one is at 16:18 when he loads the program to computer, there is a big text "Borutha is a prick".

About the music: these are old cult hits from the 80s and 90s in modern arrangements. about the names of devils: Boruta, Rokita are the names of devils from folk folklore.
They are old devils, so your comment about learning on grandpa's or grandma's computer was very accurate.

He released Slavic Demons from hell. This is the end of Twardowski plot :) And after few more episodes about Slavic demons they stoped making them.

At the beginning, he taught the devil how computers and systems work and said that when a VIP dies, he can return his soul to his body. Twardowski saw the devil's login and password and wrote a program where his soul would be restored after death

Fun fact, there is a 2 hour long audiobook called "Wywiad z Borutą" (Interview with Boruta) where a journalist is called for a chat with our favourite devil. It is availible on youtube but sadly there are no english subtitles. I'll try to list the most important/interesting parts (it's been a while since I last listened to it)
- Boruta has been involved in a lot of polish history. Interestingly enough he's always trying to help the country. He's quite patriotic.
- Boruta wasn't originally a devil. He used to be a leszy/leshy, a forest guardian from Slavic mythology.
- Boruta was fed up with the tyranny of Slavic gods so when Christianity appeared he saw it as an opportunity. He devised a plan to neutralize the gods so they would be easier to take down (he got them drunk af). All the Slavic gods and demons got locked up in hell, but since Boruta helped with the whole thing he got offered a job as the CEO of Polish Hell. Compared to western devils he's actually pretty lenient with his punishments and way more creative. (f.e. One guy would be free to go once he carves his name in stone, except he's never lerned how to write. Another would be free to go once he drinks all the vodka ever produced in Russia).
- He first met Twardowsky in, if I remember correctly, the 1500s. He was a merchant selling mirrors and pulling scams on people, telling them he can bring people from the dead. The king heard about it and ordered him to bring his dead wife back. Twardowsky couldn't do it so he made a deal with Boruta.
- For centuries Twardowsky has been reincarnating to continue his life, but something went wrong the last time he did it and he doesn't have his memories this time.
- The journalist lady isn't buying any of this, she's only staying because Boruta promised her some info on Twardowsky. Boruta takes her down to hell and shows her his "guests", the last one being her ex-husband, who became homeless after she left him and froze to death.
- Boruta offers her a deal: she would work for him using her media prescence and in return he makes her young again and promises to give her ex-husband a light sentence (he would make him watch a shitty TV show). She agrees but hopes to double cross him.
I like listening to you when you are surprised or do not understand normal Polish realities.
Fun fact, when filming the first scene when Lucy is naked, it was freezing, she needed to put herself in the warming blankets in between shots, also she is singing the end song
He died, but once the soul left his body, he interrupted the process of soul transfer - instead of going to hell, the soul was redirected back to his body
He did not survive in outer space but he has hacked the system. He had the password to the hell's soul managing system which allows you to send the souls to hell or back to the body, as you can see at the beginning of the episode. So he basically committed the worst sin possible to get the fuel but having access to the system which redirect the souls he sent his soul back to his own body.
PROCEDURE: BACK TO BODY. He set on the HellServ that Twardowsky's soul shouldnt be collected but returned instead. Watch again the computer lesson given to Boruta about the VIP
In this video he really died right there in space. But in the files he set up his soul to get rejected and sent back to his body, hence a ressurection
As the supplement to the film series, there is a book "Wywiad z Borutą" ("Interview with Borutha"), but I think there is no English version...

Unfortunately, we won't find out what happened next. Twardowsky 3.0 was supposed to be a full-length film, but unfortunately the main sponsor Allegro withdrew from the Project and does not have funds for a full film. Eit. The music video for this song from the credits shows How Lucynka became a demon.

As a Pole, I can honestly say that the music is perfectly matched to individual scenes. These Allegro videos are the only ones of their kind, showing Polish legends in this way. In a way that is acceptable to the international community who would enjoy watching it. I don't know what to compare it to. Hmm, for example, I like watching kdramas because they mix their regional beliefs, mysticism and culture with modern realities in a way that is fun to watch.

Borutha has shown procedures to apply to the incoming souls. One of them was "Return to the body", for the VIPs. Read what is shown on the terminal seconds before the reel pulls Ts body back to the ship and pressurises the airlock :D But he had to truly die to commit capital sin.

Vintage computers are a good stylistic idea. A large corporation (e.g. Hell) has invested in hardware/software once and is sticking to it ;) They will change the system when some specialist/visionary/CEO (from big IT company) gets to Hell ;)
The set also includes covers with short videos that complement the plot.
Twardowski's legend is an old fairy tale of the devil chasing a man. the adaptation, posted here, is brilliant in its creation. They are for Poles, it was announced a few years ago that they would create a film based on these stories. May it be so. Because it can be competition for mcu with Polish style and music. covers of music from the 90s rox!
All Polish Legends are built on the set of short novels based on Slavic beliefs. These novels are still available to read. if my mind doesn't trick me :)

This was basically his plan since he saw that laptop for the first time. This is why he caught their attention by attempting a bigger sin (self pleasure). Otherwise if they did not show up as holograms, he would've frozen to death. Later he used his billionaire skills to turn the situation in his favor and used one of the opportunities he had forseen, and in this case it turned out to be the password. He had divised a plan for multiple possible situations and adapted the one that the opportunity gave him. Genius indeed.
Need to look up 'Dresden Files' series by Jim Butcher to get some inkling why they imagined those oldschool computer systems as one Hell would use. (It's a relatively common trope, but Butcher's writing is one of more vivid examples I've stumbled upon).
Tomasz Bagiński he was the director of legends. He did a great job. He is one of the directors of The Witcher on Netflix. His statements about American viewers, general defense of the Witcher series led to him losing the Polish viewer. The Witcher from Netflix is a very weak series. CD Projekt Red and The Witcher 3, this is what the characters in the movie should look like and this is how the script should look like.

All of Legendy Polskie films contain Polish classic songs - the ones we all grew up on - but modern versions explicitly created for these films.
For Twardovsky there's a song "Aleja Gwiazd". Originally by a singer Zdzisława Sośnicka. The cover is made by a DJ Matteo, sung by Anna Karwan. The clip of the latter version explains the story of Lucy the devil from Twardovsky. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE watch both versions to understand why the covers are so hit!
The final song is a cover of a classic from the 80's that was sung by a brilliant singer Zdzisława Sośnicka. I highly recommend the original, Rob. This episode of the Polish Legends by Allegro series is my fav. I don't think they've made next episode of Twardowsky.
Twardowski did die, that's why the sin was suicide. His soul went to hell, but he hacked the devil's system and set the procedure deciding to what to do to his soul at "return to the body". After he was pulled back into the ship, where he'd be able to survive, his soul was returned and thus he was resurrected

Like most polish commedy this one also has so many references that are hard to grasp for foreigners. Like "Raczki" villege where the devil has his home - its like reference in the middle of nowhere (we say in PL in place where dog's barks with their assess). The monitor is old and interface looks like MSDOS with graphics because its suppose to be funny. Same as modern interior with old pigs head trophy on the wall (something you would find in old champs houses in Poland, or carpets and old school tea cups etc.
Also, this movie was founded by Allegro (like Amazon/Ebay) in PL that was mainly run by IT geeks, so many jokes are like IT Crowd or Big Bang Theory, like simple passwords and many IT references.

Z wad pamiętam: słabe sprzęgło, skłonność do kapotażu (jeśli zastosowano zbyt mało obciążników z przodu) i cos mi świta z hydrauliką (nie miał?).
Z drugiej strony, był to ciągnik lekki, miał WOM oraz sprężarkę, której nie miał np. C-360.
