- Rush SRT or Rush Shift - Mopar & Automotive CZcams Channel that featured a Challenger SRT 392, Mustang GT & Boss 302. Rush Shift started "Night Shift" which was night racing between Chargers, Challengers, Mustangs, Corvettes, Hellcats, etc. Owners would meet in a location & decide who's racing who & Rush would load it onto his channel. Hellcats vs Corvettes, Redeye vs Mustangs, The Night Shift exploded his channels in views, subscribers, etc.
Let me know what you think of the CZcams Channel "Rush Shift" & his crazy story! He saw major success on the CZcams platform. Rush is no longer active on social media (CZcams & Instagram) so I didn't bother including his handles.

I’d say more the Coyote scene, as he debuted his GTs in his later years. But that SRT was what started it.

"Real criminals" don't post videos of them breaking laws. He didn't blur out spedos or road signs...landmarks. Saying you are racing in Mexico is a clear flag the cops picked up on. It is a shame he lost his cars but why race the streets like you are in high school and not got to a track like a grown man.
@@Haterade888 yeah your right 99 percent of cops are lazy. So instead of going after killers,pedos,drug dealers. They go after street racers. I feel really safe knowing this guy is off the street. I just have to watch out for everybody else now. I guess if they don’t post their crimes the cops just sit at their desk all waiting on “tips” to come in because they are too lazy to actually do their job.

Where I live, the body of a young child that had been missing for 22 years was found in a trashcan on the side of the road. Law enforcement should have better things to do than harass people who like to drive fast! Looks like they just go for the low hanging fruit, imo.

Pardon me, but you don't really seem to understand how law enforcement works or the fact that someone who constantly street races in the same jurisdiction over and over getting complaints from residents of dangerous driving can trigger an investigation into criminal activity because driving 150 on a public highway is in fact highly illegal if you haven't noticed. idiot.

I bought my first Mopar because of this guy. Was watching his videos and had a real itch for that Dodge Challenger. Went online and came across a 2010 SRT8 B5 blue. I’ve now owned it for five years and it is still my pride joy @ 164000.
Once you have a Hemi - theres no looking back! The torque & fun factor is unmatched

Man rush was the first one to show me the true potential you can do with a stock mopar and it showed me how well they hold their own plus some. I always had a good laugh when people would call him a cheater for gapping their 5.0's or camaro ss's. Sucks he got in trouble for racing but i mean. I to have been arrested for breaking the law. (not vehicle wise but definitely worse) and can say a mess up is a mess up. We own up to it and learn to do better. I hope to see him again one day
I used to watch their channel. They hit the toll road 241 and the 210 freeway. Sometimes I saw him on the freeway the guy with the charger Daytona

I'd think, than in MOST cases, if someone has a quick/fast, powerful vehicle, there's LITTLE chance they won't break any vehicle related laws ( speeding, careless driving, reckless driving, etc). Personally, I knew all to well that while I owned my 2023 Dodge Scat Pack 1320, it was a forgone conclusion eventually I was headed down a dark, dangerous and expensive road. The thrill of the acceleration and sound the 1320 made ,enticed me to put my foot in it whenever I drove it. The ONLY time I drove it within the boundries of the law was when I had my wife with me for a nice Sunday outing. Even though I'm older ( 68 currently), I still love quick/fast ,powerful vehicles.
I wound up seeing the writing on the wall and decided to sell the car before I had to face bad things.

@@michaela6147 Google Dodge Scat Pack 1320 . It's basically a baby Demon. I still have a Honda sport bike capable of mid to low 10s in the 1/4 mile with trap speeds of 136-138 mph. It's street legal too. That's enough to hang with a Helcat Red Eye. I bought a beautiful 2023 "Last Call" Charger GT PLUS. best daily driver I ever owned. Plenty of power and acceleration for my congested town.

He just sold his mustang on cars and bids. Not sure if he did it for legal fees or whatever... Its best to lay low seeing what happened. Once you catch 5.0s attention you'll always be on the radar. It was a cool era for racing content for sure. especially for the 392 guys.

I think about rush from time to time I used to watch them a lot when I was in high school I learned about what V8s were with his channel and to this day now I want to Camaro SS because of him. Hopefully he can come back soon.

He did have a cool channel. I kind of drifted away when he went to the Mustang. It's just not something was in to.
2019 was a massive year to have a mustang - the videos would get massive amounts of views. 2024 - not so much anymore
The 18-20 mustang with headers and e85 and gutted interior beat stock hellcats all day. That is crazy impressive. That’s why they got soo many views. It was a bad car… 23-24 they got super slow for some reason. Also compression ratio was lowered a little so the car doesn’t react to e85 or race gas like they used too

Sadly, we all tell on ourselves with social media. OGs and people from my generation know better🤷🏿♂️. It's the risk you take in the car community to grow your brand. It's only going to get more prevalent, especially with the next wave younger cats in the car community on CZcams. I'm sure we can all see what's happening now and agree. 😬
I think this is becoming more & more common. it's easy for police to take you down people willing to film themselves breaking the law. Hopefully we see Rush again, but you never know. Many other youtubers decided to move on after this kind of trouble.

Watching this video, i also think about Nico aka Thatguymarin. There isn't a sole of anything from him and everyone is concerned. Even i wonder if he might been into some trouble. I hadn't seen a video or post from him in over 2 years now.

Rush and 6.2 hellcat are channels ive tuned in quite a bit in the past they had great content sad to see it end like this i was thinking about making a video on this topic on my youtube channel as well but decided not to say much more because i did a video on the exact same thing happening to some Atlanta youtubers recently who were forced to take down there videos and police took their cars etc.. you can look into it more though i hope everything can work out for everyone

Yep, for all the haters, the last year for a SRT 392 was 2018, I believe. The SRT option gave different shocks and a couple other things. It was technically slower than a Scat Pack because of the weight difference.
The scatpack 392 def turned out faster 1/4 mile times

I watched his channel early on before the "night shift" started and thought it was pretty good. Yeah, street racing ain't cool. He was a fool for doing it. I hope other CZcamsrs have wised up after this.

I purchased my 2016 Billett Silver SRT 392 around the same time he started posting videos, so I watched a ton of his content. Until he got to leaning too heavily towards the Ford. It was at that pond that I was done..
Same here I was really hoping he would do a na cam build on his 392 Or boost it but it got to the point where he would ask his fans but never deliver.
I thought he was going to mod up that 392 SRT but yah once he went mustang he leaned into it. Guessing because right around that time the Mustang videos were doing great. Anyone in a 18+ Mustang GT seemed to do well on uploads (views/revenue).

I knew his popularity growing would be his downfall. He was blatant about all of it. He also was pretty cocky in person. I tried to do some content with him when I was in Cali during that time. SO GLAD I didn't.
That Nightshift was insane. Blew up the channel & made him a massive target. He seems like a very confident guy - don't know him personally but watched his videos every so often. Anyone in his videos were probably crapping their pants so it's better off you weren't in any.

I’ll never forget his early videos. He talked out of his ass like a lot.
Imagine being a cop and your greatest accomplishment is stealing from the people who pay your salary. There are truly horrible people out there that get away with things you couldn’t imagine in your worst nightmares but yeah guy driving fast in vehicles made to drive fast at night when no one else is on the road must be stopped.

Did he ever get his cars back if not that is definitely enough to ruin your life for years financially. But even when seized in this context u can get them back. But god will they make sure it is the most expensive and stressful process you’ve ever been through.
I recognized this from day one. Just like shooting your mouth off making videos are like saying come and get me. Some seem to have this need to be dumb. Another thing I see a lot of. In my day we hot rodded around on the streets and raced on the streets a little too. A lot of these guys today are different than the real guys I hung around with. We worked on our cars not just bought a built car or had others build them. These guys spend their time toothbrushing dust out of the interiors while we cleaned the dirt off ourselves after working on our cars. Not saying either is right or wrong, but just like the investment car people they do not work on cars they just own them, parking them in climate control or just driving them.

yah you need to take extreme measures when you're uploading this kind of content. Once they know where you're racing you're screwed & on their radar.
I've always wondered why certain big name CZcamsrs are allowed to drive extra-legal speeds on public roads and others get busted. Connections, I guess.
I love watching some badass cars race as much as the next dude but at the end of they day, when you record yourself commiting a crime and post it online, it's all going to come crashing down eventually.

Not really the whole truth.. he got his cars back and so did most of the others. They can’t take your cars without actually pulling you iver out doing the things. A video doesn’t prove enough as they weren’t there. He proved that all in court and got his stuff back. He sold most of it and is not currently doing CZcams but said he would like to do it again but more of the car meet scene etc.. I know him personally, met him Several times etc.. one of the other guys went to jail cause he was caught buying another car and doing the same whit and actually got caught street racing at like 155mph,.. crazy
