So glad to see you two highlight this ship and an inside stateroom! Everyone always says you MUST have a balcony for Alaska, but the cost is so much more and we honestly have never spent much time in our cabin.
Balconies are always nice but you're right they are far more expensive and we don't mind interior. We would rather go on more cruises instead :) Thanks for watching and Happy Cruising!
It's fun seeing campus from one of the cruise ships! (I'm always watching them go in and out of the cove when I'm working from the office)
Hey DG! Thanks for watching 👍 We were waiving but you didn't see us. 😂 Hope to see you soon.
Really great video. Thank you two.
Glad you enjoyed it!
So glad you have posted some vlogs that are so informative! We vlogged it as well because there were not a ton of videos out there that had as much information as we had been hoping for when it came to this new ship !!! I am so enjoying your videos :) also looking forward to watching other videos as well !
Awesome 👍 We appreciate the kind words and support!
Very good job! Thanks for the information on the Discovery Princess.
You're very welcome 👍 Thanks for watching.
The ship looks so beautiful!!
Yes, she was a gorgeous ship!
💙💜💚
Looks like you had a wonderful time. My husband and I sail the Discovery Princess on September 11! I am SOOO excited. What a beautiful ship! Thanks for sharing your adventure.
You're very welcome! I am sure you will have an amazing time!
We are going a week before you
We are going a week before you

Is there a video for every day? Thanks this was great. We’re going to Alaska next weekend, sooo excited!
Yes there are videos for every day. Day 6 and 7 will be coming out this week. There should be links in the description of the video. You will love Alaska, it's an awesome trip!
@@NorthernVikingExplorer thank you so much, I really enjoyed watching your videos. You guys are so cute 💕
Thank you for your kindness and support! 👍

Hi! Glad I found your channel. I have never cruised before and am planning on taking this cruise in 2024. I like to know everything that is going to happen, so I was wondering how you know when your room is ready. Thank you!
I'm glad you're enjoying the channel! Typically it's a set time. Usually 1:00 or 1:30 in the afternoon. They will commonly keep the doors closed to the state room area so you can't go down there. They also will usually make an announcement when the rooms are ready.
Did you drop your luggage before parking or park first and bring your luggage on the shuttle? We have a big group of 8 so thought dropping off at the cruise terminal first would be most efficient - your thoughts?
We took our luggage on the shuttle and the people at the parking lot were very helpful loading and unloading from the shuttle. I wouldn't bother dropping it off first as it may be hard to get in there with your own private vehicle.
What time do you one should get on the cruise.u mention 1030 am can we get on that early? Sailing is at 4pm thanks
You will need to log into your Princess account online and select a check in time. The earlier times are usually gone first.
What time did you guys elect to do the dine your way for each day? I am thinking if we want to do the shows at 7:30 we would want to eat at 6
We typically try to go as early as possible from them opening. This allows us to catch as many shows / entertainment as possible.
IS THIS GOING TO BE THE SHIP THEY FILMED THE NEW LOVE BOAT DATING SHOW
That's a good question, I'm not sure. If anybody else knows, please comment below.
Anyone else notice something moving on her plate at 7:03, omg!
LOL, Not sure what it is.... We are assuming it is a piece of the fish or garnish. 🤨
What does it cost ?
Opinion on medallion neck or wrist?
I don't mind it around the neck but others don't love it. They did sell medallion accessories on board if you change your mind.
What dates did you sail?
This was the July 3rd sailing.
May I ask how much you paid for your inside stateroom if you remember? how tall the husband. Looks like lower ceilings. Did you feel like you missed out by being at an inside stateroom? I'm thinking of getting an balcony for my husband and I and my older children will be in an inside stateroom across from us.
We got a very good deal for our inside cabin, It was about $350 per person. I know this year the prices are higher. I am about 6'1" and I didn't feel like the ceilings are low. Everyone will have a different opinion on inside cabins vs Balcony and I really think it comes down to budget. Andrea and I cruise quite a bit and we don't mind inside cabins. However, others do not like them and would never choose them. Everyone's going to have a different opinion. We prefer to pay less and get to go more often. 🤗
@@NorthernVikingExplorer - oh, that price for an inside is awesome and would be fantastic for my relatives. Did you pick up that lowered price close to the sailing date? or was it booked way in advanced? I'm planning on balcony for myself but that rate for my relatives would be soooo awesome!
Yeah... The price was amazing. I don't think you'll see it that low this year. We booked it about 2 months out.
